- So, with the new life at a nice 2 story house at 7129 Kaiser st Fontana! I was basically continuing with my 80's life ONTO 1991. This "80's life" did not completely phase out of me until going onto the mid 90s!!!
During this moment, my financial life SUCKED! Because of the recession in 1990. I was a victim of recession at this time. And it is NO HELP when the community treats certain people better than others. When it comes to looking for a job anyway. IT WAS HARD FOR ME to get jobs, because of employers profiling of me. It's easy to tell BTW. So, with only the coffee shop job, working only 15 hour a week. $50 weekly. It was very difficult for me to make ends meet then! I tried really hard to get a job working as a auto mechanic. BUT NEVER happened. So with the continuing deterioration of my financial life, I HAD to resort to selling off almost everything I had. Which included my beloved white 1983 Mercury Marquis. Then, we had a burglary ALREADY! May 1991, they stole several items, mostly my stuff. INCLUDING my VHS camcorder!!! YES my VHS camcorder! Later we had already knew who did it!! It was a NEW neighbor I became friends with. Miraculously they actually RETURNED all our stuff!!!!!! YES you read this RIGHT! They RETURNED our stuff, which includes MY VHS camcorder!!! But anyway, a short time later, I had an accident on my Elite 150 scooter while I was on the freeway! I'm LUCKY I'm still alive! I should have been in the dust. But it DIDN'T happen! The lord God did NOT want me to go just yet!!! So, continuing to sell off everything else which INCLUDED THIS VHS camcorder!! The end of this video shows my mom's friend buying the Nintendo off me, and then I gave my camcorder to her! So NO MORE cam until Aug 1991, BUT however, she let me use this camcorder for my brother's graduation at Nogalas high school La Puente CA.
It's like he recorded this knowing we would need a boost of realistic nostalgia 30 years later. what a saint!
The Rats Shall Rule that’s what I was thinking too lol
I feel that way as well I watch these when I start to feel down idk why but they make me always feel better

Cause back in 90s we just focus no phone do a activity when we grow up technology ruin everything
Those were the days. I was a young adult, stepping out, enjoying life, getting a job, getting my own place. I find the 1990s quite nostalgic.
I was 24 in 1991 doing the exact same. Retiring this month from same job. Been a fast 31 years.
Actually if you search for videos of life in the 90s, you just find surprisingly little. There are almost no real flashbacks like this.
because people were busy livin life
@@DiamanteDea Exactly! People lived in the moment instead of recording it. They might take some pictures but that was on film so you were careful not to waste it. Actually the 90s was the last decade where the film camera was number one as digital cameras starting becoming popular in the early 2000s.
@@Beyondthelensproductions digital cameras sucked in the early 2000s. Maybe after 2005 digital cameras started to take over.

the camcorder noise!! man that brings me back
What the hell was it anyway was it like the plastic casing rubbing against itself?
Michael Smith yea. Just overall the handling of the camera lol. The mic was mounted on the camera facing out and any tapping around it you would hear. I’m sure you probably play games online and can hear your friends touch/handle their headset.
5:14 just look at her walking around to actually get her boredom ease, no pop up notifications, no tapping, no cellphone at all, just real world awareness and experimentation.

I like to practice this awareness
@Lynk what deep you talking about the awareness of ease boredom with no iPhone
Yes I aware of both good and bad moments every decade.
But wait what is a Rose Tinted?
I wish I could live during the early 90’s
Wish there was away to go back in time
Dream Chaser97 I know what you mean. I was born in 02 and I really don't like the addicted to social media and superficiality of this generation. The 90s appear to be a time when people cared about other things than themselves and actually embraced the world around them without the destructive forces of social media and actually had fun for once! Your right if I could go back I would and wouldn't think about it twice!!!

Beginning is just like me when I was 16 and bugging mom with the video camera. You can see her strained patience! For real, though, I love finding stuff like this on CZcams. As much as I love the sort of manufactured nostalgia of vaporwave and cheesy, fake VHS Premiere effects nothing actually can beat a real camera recording unscripted, unproduced home videos like this. I guess my teenage home videos could be an interesting window into the mid-2000's.
Well, you come to the right place!!!! Tons of these "actual " home videos here!!!
If I was my age now in 1991, I'd get SOOOOOO much reading done!
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? Because I was born 12 yrs. after this footage and cant libe without tech so I wouldn't survive a day in the early 90s.

Amazing video man classic memories indeed of the 90s
I wish I had old video like this of my family
Awe man, you filmed that NES footage for memories. I don't know anyone today that would do such a simple, yet sentimental thing. You guys were strong and had such love in your household. Born 92, do remember a bit of the decade. Miss those simple days. I wish technology didn't explode so much, so quickly. I think a decade or 2 more would've been nice lol
That was the Atari 2600, not NES.
@@LITTLE1994 I’m not even sure why I said NES lol I knew full well it was an Atari.
March 31, 1991 was and is a very special day to a unbelievably great decade. On that Easter Sunday my wife hinted to me she wanted me to take her to her prom. I did and we began dating on that day. Her prom would be May 17 of that year. In March of 91 Temple of the Dog debuted which I listened to thousands of time in the last 32 years. Nirvana’s Nevermind would debut in the late fall and Grunge took the world by storm. College, flannel shirts, T2. The year was the bomb.
I was born on that exact date Easter Sunday in the morning before noon lol the 90s and early 2000s as a whole just looked and felt different! Even the sky and sun felt different back than.. times suck now but we try to make the best of it lol
I was 11 that year oh the memories ..
I grew up in the 90s and life was way simpler. I didn’t have a camcorder until I was 12 and when I picked it up, I knew Video would be my passion. I wish I can turn back time to live the 90s forever.
Man I remember 91, I was 7 yrs old, arrived to London from Iraq a year earlier, didn’t speak a lick of English but I loved loved loved the 90’s the hottest summers and the coldest grey winters , but people were happy and chilled
You had such a peaceful upbringing. A far cry from my own. Glad you’re okay (scooter accident) 🙏

Omg the clicking sound of the person holding the video camera. I remember these days. My sister and I were raised in the 90’s and we videoed everything with our video camera. So much nostalgia
How could someone have known all of us from that era would need this as a coping mechanism??? I was born in the late 80’s so I got to experience the 90’s and it’s so strange how different life is now compared to then. Like I love all my modern conveniences and what not but sometimes I wish I could go back and just taste all the foods I used to love, grab a drink that’s no longer made anymore, watch actual TV that was actually enjoyable, hell even the commercials were better. I don’t know I just want to enjoy the simplistic nature of that time before we got to...here.

Hi Jonathan!
@30:18 I don’t understand what she’s saying, but it reminds me of my Mom talking to her friend on the phone in the kitchen. I miss this. I need to start talking on the phone more.
Mix it with some other footage, you can make a retrowave music video. Beautiful. I miss so much the 80s and beginning of 90s. That's one of the reasons for my depressive mental state.
primarily I remember that we as a society were more engaged with each other . we really cared about each other . we walked around with mainly cash money in our pockets , we had landline house phones . I remember in the '90s Friday night would be late TGIF or Blockbuster video rentals and a pizza . I miss that era .
Welcome to my time capsule!
Dude. This. The world seemed bigger and smaller at the same time. But in the right balance. Now, the world seemingly seems large and at our fingertips. But ultimately, we as a people are becoming more and more devoid of meaningful human connections. That even Includes a connection with one's self.
this feels like home. the 90s were good.
The thought that the cat is dead now is really depressing
But at least it seems like it had a good life you guys seemed very loving :)
Nevermind I just saw the part where you step on her tail wtf xD
We had one of those Goose ceramics in our kitchen!
86 for me, and i miss the 90's :(
Wow i can't believe how old the cars look ... wow
Honestly, I don't think I would survive a day in the 90s especially the early 90s.
I miss 1991... I was 7 years old and my father had a 88 or 89 Toyota Celica. Truly a simpler time.
Coco Taveras lol you wouldn’t just survive, you would thrive! You would have actual in-person close REAL friends and relationships, be more appreciative, active and do things outdoors, and become more personal AND independent... instead of like now everything is in your pocket given easy, no sense of wonder, imagination, or real discovery learning on your own with experiences-pocket internet tells you what to do or group think, and people or “friends” today are really just acquaintances you’ve met and only to become digital contacts... what’s weird is how stagnant everything has become, nothing has really changed much in the past 10-15yrs, look at videos from like 2007 or so you can’t really tell a difference from today, it’s like we’ve been in a time slump( look how fast how much things would change in 10-15years back then, like from 1970-85 or 1990-05 EVERYTHING totally different)
Now gen guys you should too make these types of vedio's too coz in 2040 (if we then exsisted) we will suffer same nostalgia too
I’ll be 50 by then
Awesome!
And just think.... a lot of people make lots of money doing what you did over 20 years ago
you got change for a 45

Back in the day when people weren't sitting around staring at their phones all day. I miss those days.
Was 16 in 1991. Worked a job all year long in Hs at the grocery store bagging groceries. My parents gave me a piece of crap car. I could not wait to taste freedom. Most of us had Baby boomer parents who did not understand us. We were told to get a job in HS if we wanted extra money. Our parents only cared about was work. I had 4 good friends I would hang out with all of the time. I miss going out at 1am on a school night and destroying things outside. Their were No cameras or smartphones. No crefew. Cops did not care if you were on the streets at 1am. High school was open campus. It was amazing. Grunge just exploded and every car in the school parking lot was playing nirvana or AIC super loud. Your life sucked if you did not have a car. We would throw sodas at kids who walked to lunch. Kids these days don’t want cars or a license. I had 2 neighbors force their kids to get their license after college. I don’t know what kids do for fun anymore. Kids the last 15 years don’t have to work a job at all. They get nice cars and are told to go to college and focus on school only. These early 20s still live at home and work part time jobs.
Damn stranded in West Covina and you live in Fontana? You had to bust a mission to get home lol. I live in SoCal, born and raised Orange County.
