- The Waldorf Blofeld synthesizer is an extremely powerful and versatile digital synth. Don't be fooled by its humble size, the Blofeld can handle up to 16 different parts at once!
It's a 25 voice synth with over 20 different modulation options, 3 oscillators and a noise generator, 2 filters, 4 envelopes and 3 LFOs. In this video, we'll focus on the oscillator section.

Fantastic timing and fantastic video - just picked up Blofeld yesterday :)
** TIP for everyone ** it's easier to the noise, ring, glide and poly menus by clicking Filter first and then scrolling backwards with the main encoder than going from Oscillator 3.
Great starter video right there for those new to it. Always good to see more videos, as can learn more even though I've had my first one in 2008.

nice overview of blofeld oscillators. I love mine, but it has been having some issues with noise lately :/ i think it overheats or something like that after a while
Oh, that's a shame. Is it on all the outputs, the headphones output too? Maybe a loose connection to the jacks? Or dust can be a pain too, try cleaning it to see if that helps.

How is the latency with usb usage?
Thx! I don't notice any difference compared to the MIDI inputs, so no noticeable latency
Also replaced buttons. The main board is one layer (old type) and it was easy to do.
Yeah I remember the pots were a bit tough to reach at some points so I just cut them off 😅
@@optoproductions My encoders were good, so after one success I decided to replace the Juno-G buttons and succeded also. Long time preparation and war, that pushes to the limit my capabilities.
