They won't be edgy when they're twisting their ankle ahahah. I understand you, Dr Martens were definitely known for being quite goth, or alternative, and nowadays their market has expanded. I love the look of these, the platform is amazing and I love the yellow detailing.

omg I just got my platform docs not too long ago and I live in them!! Super easy to break in and no other shoe compares. Really one of the most comfortable shoes I own!

Nice boots! I like Martens too, but mainly seeing them on other people as they destroy my heels making them all bloody in first 10 minutes (even with thick socks). I guess there's just a different shoe/boot type that works best for everyone! :D

No you’re totally right ! It destroys most everyone feet at first haha but after a while it gets better 🖤
As someone who suffers from the same I will give you the best tips to alleviate it: make sure when you are breaking them in you wear 2-3 socks, and that the laces opposite the back of your heel are pretty loose. Step 2, go to amazon or walmart or your local pharmacy and buy moleskine, this can be used to line the heel part of the boot to help pad it and as a bonus it's like a thick semi-permanent bandaid that doesn't move that you can put on the back of your heels to protect them when breaking the shoes in. Works wonders! Also the wonder balsam that they sell does help a little in softening the leather. And if you're in a rush to speed up the breaking in process using a hair dryer on high while stretching and flexing the boots will help them soften up faster.

very very cool, i love the high platform!!! i've never owned dr martens, I've heard they are very hard to 'break into' at first. My best friend loves them though and wears them, I love it when they are paired with a dress since it's sort of a juxtoposition?

I have those. The thick soles make them sooo comfy and last forever!
I had these and they ripped my feet up ! I just felt like they were breaking in and a hole appeared in the toe . Sent back and got a refund quite quick . Now im deciding if I should buy replacement ( they in the sale now ) or the velvet Jadon Max
Ohh too bad they actually don’t hurt quite often our customers !
The velvet are softer but it cannot be “break in” as it usually do.

I agree with you when it comes to the overexposure of the docs now. It gets annoying that everyone wants them and it leads to mixed reviews and feelings and a lot of insincerity..which is silly because this concerns simple shoes but as your brought out it was apart of a niche culture!...a lot of people just want to be trendy or unique and I wish that was not the case.
My mom used to always dress me up in combat boots since i was a kid and thats what I always wear :) my first were redwings, now ive transitioned owning the Jadon hi boots and I wanted the max jadons for black friday, but sadly, Dr.Martens didnt do a satisfying sale, but i hope to purchase the oxblood atlas around February possibly.
It took me 4 weeks to break in the jadon hi boots. The pain was not bad, it almost felt good haha I love the smooth leather, it has a gorgeous appearance

@@Thelornasharp haha! Its the truth though and you stated it well! After a while, there will be another shoe obsession and loads of people will be selling their shoes because they hardly wear them...ive seen people buy docs, claim their uncomfortable and sell them over. Its common practice
@@Thelornasharp the discomfort was primarily in the back heel area. My feet didnt bleed just got bruised up, but it felt good knowing i was breaking them in myself and that their mine :)

I love the Jadon Max’s, but I can only find them in an 11, and I wear an 11.5 - 12US:(. I wish I had smaller feet.
You should size down anyway. I'm a 8.5 US size and Jadon Maxes 8 US fit me perfectly.
I have Molly's and other platform and regular DM boots and all fit me in size 8. 9 was huge.
DM sandals are gigantic. Had to size down a size and a half and go with a 7.
