This song means so much to me as a Gay Man. I loved Bob Dylan in Highschool. I was in a relationship with a woman back then, before I came out. We had a great relationship as friends. I loved her that way. She loved me differently. I felt guilty that I had feelings for men. This song always touched me so much as it perfectly described our relationship. I used to play it, and she would get angry. I did come out to her after a year, I was 17, I’m glad I did, as we’re both happier now.
What a beautiful story. I can only imagine how much peace it brought the both of you to have that kind of closure. Peace and love to you on your journey through the tides of life ❤

+Jonathan L. Nielsen ok so, dr Luke her old producer or something had been raping her and sexually abusing her for years and told her that if she keeps quiet he'll give her fame (which is what happened for a while). she couldn't actually sing, before this performance. Sorry I watched a live performance of hers where with one of her older songs, her voice was not good. Sorry, but the truth is it was pitchy, and I don't mean that in a good way. But good for her training very hard to get here with her voice. And this was really good singing too.
no, she start with country, she could sing, i remember watching the video where she sang beautifully. But her voice degrade over the past year singing trashy electro/pop music. She could, but she can't.
Her voice, the piano, the violin all conspired to bring such a beautiful performance. I'll be honest, I actually teared up on some parts. When you're so into the performance and it brings you another place - emotions get the better of you. Here is a woman stripped of down and just bares her beautiful creative aura.
WOW! With this performance included, I have only ever heard 3 people pull that song off. Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and now Kesha! This was a solid and beautiful rendition!!!

Even years after she dropped the $ and began showing her true colors, Kesha still has yet to be critically appraised as one of this generation's most authentic, unique, and proficient voices. She may have used autotune on her first album, even on her second, but Kesha doesn't need it; but she also doesn't care that you think she does. Kesha's charm doesn't end with her raw vocals. She's a fucking amazing human being. I don't think I would be who I am today if it weren't for her and her generational impact. As a fan of #Kesha, who wasn't always a fan, I must honestly agree with some of the other commenters - Kesha's first few albums were amped and loaded with auto-tune and half-rapped, half-sung party song lyrics - I didn't take her seriously, at first. I falsely assumed that she couldn't sing because of the overproduction and the constant rebellious, party-goer music themes and quirky music videos. I didn't become a fan until some time immediately before her "Warrior" album was released. One of my best friends was playing music from his phone, while i was driving, as he was trying to recommend different artists to me, from time to time. I resisted, as he begins telling me what song he just started playing, (while I realize he's telling me it's by "Ke$ha") but shortly into it, I silently caught myself thinking, "Oh! OH??! This is GOOD. There is something unique about Kesha. I'll definitely look up some other songs, when my friend isn't around (of course, I can't have him believing I loved his recommendation and yes, Kesha is talented!) Shortly thereafter, I was discovering her full discography and found myself pre-ordering the deluxe "Warrior" album, on iTunes. I'm that kind of Kesha fan, today. She's easily one of my current top 3 favorite female musicians, yet I've still never been to a concert. I like how this new era Kesha, since "Rainbow," has really seen her spreading her wings, belting the vocals, tackling her demons and speaking her truth, all while still never giving a fu*k about what anyone else's opinions are and consistently owning up to and giggling about putting the word "fu*k" in anything from a hip-hop song to an emotional ballad. Damn, this version gets me every time. I really feel her here. Hope she makes a full album like this: piano, strings, some horns and that voice. So moving.
This is stunning. I originally love Johnny Cash and having Kesha do her take over his meaningful lyrics is very gorgeous to me. Also what she wearing? I want that little black sash thing

Her vocals are outstanding, she gave me the will power to come out as bi 6 months ago and I can't wait for her songs to come because her experiences don't define her.
After all she's an animal, and she'll fight back like 1 ❤❤
She trully deserves more than freedom!
She deserves all the happiness in this world. I'll be forever praying for her freedom.
This is one of my all time favorite videos. It’s so emotionally raw it’s powerful
I get chills watching and hearing this. I've watched it thousands of times. She's been the most strongest person to ever walk on earth. I've been with her since day one in 2009. I'm still with her today. #FreeKesha

I have been saying Kesha has a nice voice forever! This was beautiful.
I’ve always been a fan, and still was BLOWN AWAY by this performance. All my love and admiration to Kesha for her courage and generous artistry.
Can't go on w/ life w/out watching this every year and replaying it 50 times or more. Love this cover!
A singer who understands the Dylan lyric. Wonderful.
damb I got chills about 30 seconds in just seeing her free
Free meaning what?
Who’s still here 2020 🥺
I love when artists take risks. That's what makes them great.
I'm glad that she is doing more meaningful music now besides the other dirty songs :)
She is free from the digusting industry of pop music!!
LOVE YOU KESHA!!!
BEAUTIFUL VERSION OF THIS CLASSIC!!!
💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜
I start every day watching this performance, I can feel every Kesha word in my soul. She filled me with so much joy. And the last breath and chorus. GOD I got goosebumps every time I heard that. I couldn't myself and when the crowd give her a stand ovation I start crying. I LOVE YOU K! You will made it through #FreeKesha

I just slipped and fell in love with Kesha! That was a pretty breathtaking rendition..
This performance surprised me in the best possible way. From the singles she's released that became hits, I never expected to hear such a beautiful, passionate performance, but I'm so glad I did.
hello.
before the broadcast.i had only heard about her legal trouble with her manager I believe.Never ever heard the child sing.never.until the awards broadcast.I am a 55 old as dirt die hard rocker my favs being AIC tool etc.but that little girl stoped me in my tracks. What a total personal reformation of a Dylan classic.she was superb
Whenever I have to find my peace in music this is where I gets it ❤️
If this cannot give you peace than nothing Can ever heals you .....Kesha is always be great ......❤️❤️❤️
This proves she can really SING
She was hiding a lot of talent behind a pop shell. I hope to see more of this Kesha. Beautiful performance.
i knew kesha could sing but I DIDNT KNOW SHE COULD DO THIS!!!!
I'm crying. Now she can sing without this fucking autotune. I will always love her. True Kesha!
She has such emotion in her voice. It is so beautiful!!!!
AMAZING JOB!!! WOW! That standing ovation brought a tear to me eye...she's finally getting recognition for her amazing (UNALTERED) voice. Phenomenal performance.
OK..you know what? I don't think I've ever heard a song by her...I know she's a top 40 singer and all, but I think she really did this song justice.. and I'm really critical of people doing covers!! Good job on the Bob Dylan cover!!!
She does a really good job on this song…good voice…escaped from a devil..now singing like an angel
Man it's nice to hear her real voice!
I am so proud for my queen
Damn, this version gets me every time. I really feel her here. Hope she makes a full album like this: piano, strings, some horns and that voice. So moving.
this is the true Kesha she can sing what ever she want to
If her new music sounded like this, I would get on board. Amazing!
Yes its chill like this a lot cash dolly influence
Her tone is so beautiful!
This is stunning. I originally love Johnny Cash and having Kesha do her take over his meaningful lyrics is very gorgeous to me. Also what she wearing? I want that little black sash thing
Becky it's a nudie suit. They are popular western hand made suits.
She showed the world 🌎 that truly is one of the most talented and fabulous woman to ever walk -!!
Honestly a turning point in her career. I'm glad kesha can be who she truly is now... ❤
Chills. Kesha is a talent who's finally being just who she is and who feels free to be who she's meant to be. I could listen to her all day and never tire of her phenomenal voice and talent.
A person thats dealt with a lot of shit is may much more stronger than what she is now! We love you Kesha Rose!! Don't stop doing what you love because in music you'll always find comfort and peace. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
if I could get an album of kesha singing such songs. she has a great talent, I love it. I hope she's working on her album that will manifest her actual emotions. fingers crossed.
I am fan since 2009 and this performance made me cry so much.
