I have made a lot of recepies from you so far and my family just loves them. Especially the cookies and the brownies. You explain everything so clearly and it makes things so much easier. Thank you for all the efford you put into each of your videos. Have a great weekend 😊
You r one of the most genuine Food blogger/ u tuber.. just so genuine .. little things like scrapping off the last batter from mixer, tiding up utensils , mentioning if cookie went wrong while camera was off. these things today's bloggers don't post at all.. Other food chefs just so engrossed in recording perfectly that they miss the genuine food cooking connect with audience. And u connect so effortlessly. Am definitely going to try ur recipes.. Loads of love
I have just made it and it turns out amazing =)) My whole family loves it so much. I made it with just oatmeal and reduced the sugar amount by half (since I'm on diet now). Your recipes are always my go-to when baking =))) Lots of love from Vietnam
Hi Stephanie! Thanks for the recipe. I made this yesterday and it's perfect. Just substituted peanuts and raisins instead of expensive nuts that we don't have here in Vietnam and topped with roasted sesame seeds. Those nuts are being imported from the US, Australia etc. Again thank you. Keep on baking and sharing your talent. I'm a fan of yours.
This the first Oatmeal Cookie recipe I've ever tried and I honestly don't think I'm going to try another. They were simply perfect. The perfect crunch, chewiness and sweetness. I divided my dough before adding the raisins to half and chocolate chunks to the other half. Added walnuts to both halves. All turned out superb! They did take a little longer in my oven but I suppose that's oven specific. This is a must try recipe for anyone who likes oatmeal cookies. Thank you Ms. Jaworski. 🙏
Stephanie, I watched your croissant video a few times and you gave me the confidence to give it a go. They turned out fantastic! Thank you so much for always being inspiring, relatable, informative and wonderful!
I've never had a recipe go wrong with Joyofbaking. I love your personality Steph. You're accurate by telling us the exact weights but also you aren't rigid like some other videos are. I love how you're like I love cinnamon you might not like cinnamon play with it have fun with it ❤️🤗❤️
I can’t wait to bake these cookies today! I so enjoy watching your videos and making your recipes and my family enjoys eating the resulting delicious baking! Thank you so much for sharing your love of baking and for producing such thoroughly enjoyable videos.
Decided to bake these cookies using exact measurements in grams, right down to the weight of each cookie. I used golden raisins, walnuts, and chocolate chips. I also used a whiskey barrel aged maple syrup instead of honey. Amazing recipe! My new go to for oatmeal cookies
I have never tried cocaine, crystal meth. or heroin but I have "used" oatmeal cookies for as long as I can remember. A tall glass of cold whole milk and a .....some warm oatmeal cookies and I'm as content as can be. 'Will def. give this recipe a whirl. Ever had oatmeal cookies with drained and patted dry pineapple tidbits added to the batter? The cinnamon, pineapple and oatmeal make an excellent combination. Thank You for another well done video.
I am back for a post-baking report! These cookies turned out so well! My husband said that they are exactly what you hope for in an oatmeal cookie! I used Callebaut milk chocolate chips and they added a lot of deliciousness! Since I can’t have gluten, I used a good quality gluten free flour and they STILL turned out to be the most amazing oatmeal cookie I have ever made. Thanks so much Stephanie for sharing your recipes! I am a huge fan!
I made these cookies 4/2021. They were really good!! Everyone loved them!! I used dark brown sugar instead if light, raisins. I added in a mix of almonds and pecans and a mix of white and semi sweet chocolate. Very tasty!! Edit: I didn't have rolled oats so I used the instant.
Your recipes are amazing thank you so much. Every recipe I tried it's to perfection 👍. I have been enjoying baking your recipes over 5 years. Thanks again.
I made these cookies yesterday. Also made some pecans and jam ones. Out of all three my grand daughter loves these oatmeal ones. So, yeah they are that good. Thanks for another great recipe.
I’ve followed many of your recipes but never left a mssg yet. Your recipes are delicious and videos are on point. Just wanted to leave a thank you note.
Whoa! This is the best oatmeal recipe I tried few years back. It's only now that I saw your youtube channel! Will definitely be back to baking! Thank you so much and God bless!
Hi Stephanie, Oatmeal Cookies are a favorite of mine. I will be trying this recipe today! Also, I am so glad that you converted me to weighing my ingredients. My results are much improved. Thank you.
Hello from Northern Ontario! It's -15 outside...perfect day for a warm oatmeal cookies. I have kids, so I used the small ice cream scoop, and it yield 24, and we even had some to freeze. Thanks Stephanie and Ricky
Ok, how does she do it? My long adult life I’ve worked to give the oatmeal canister recipe the finish they just lacked. Was it the honey? I don’t know, but these cookies are what I dreamed of for so long. I did adjust the add-ins by I’m just flat out grateful once again. I give the joy of baking channel credit but I’m getting a reputation that she has earned for me.
Thank you for such an excellent recipe. I made them yesterday my first time baking something. Followed the precise measurements, came out mouth watering delicious. Thanks again.
You are fantastic. Ive been watching you for years now and you have inspired a lot of amazing baking. Thank you Stephenie. Lots of love from Pakistan ❤️
OMG these cookies are amazing! This recipe is officially my go-to oatmeal cookie recipe. I've never made oatmeal cookies using the larger oats before, but I'm so glad I had some leftover from your granola recipes. I substituted all raisins in mine, but now I want to try them with the chocolate and nuts as well! Thank you for another delicious recipe!
Excellent instructions which I really need, especially in how the cookie should look when they are done! This is my favorite cookie. Thank you so much for this excellent video! Can’t wait to make them.😊
Thank you . I followed your recipe. My husband is diabetic and I was looking for a healthy diet recipe. Well, I used stevia instead of sugar and just oatmeal flour and oatmeal. It didn’t expand but turned ok.
I made these with Quaker quick minute oats and all I can say is woooow! I don’t think I’ll ever buy oatmeal cookies again..my boyfriend can’t stop eating them lol..they’re perfect! And I didn’t even add in raisins or nuts, just oatmeal..thank you for the awesome recipe!
Yayy!! The cookies are soooo yummy! I reduced sugar to 180g and it was still sweet to me. Will try to use lesser sugar next time. I also ran out of butter and only had 150g. The result was still good. Thank you Stephanie!!
I have tried this cookies. It was so soooooo good. You are so sincere in sharing recipes. Appreciate your hardwork and your details in the video. Thanks & Love u 💚💚💚💚💚
Gorgeous colour! I bet those cookies smelled wonderful as they baked up. I can bring them to work, pack them in lunchboxes for the kids, and even offer them as a low-fat (not advised) / low sugar (not advised) / allergen-free snack after a couple of (unadvised) tweaks! I love how golden-brown these baked oats can get. It's that warming colour and the taste of toasty oats on top that lifts my mood. :-)
Try using chopped dates and definitely use maple syrup, my mother-in-law made them like that, thought you may like the idea as mother-in-law was an awesome cook!!
These cookies are just delicious I tried them and they came out great, only thing I barely got enough for myself they went so fast thank you for sharing Joy.
Oh my goodness, baked these today! They came out soooo yummy! Just a tweek: Next time I'll just have to reduce the sugar to (150g) as the raisens n choco chips added their own sweetness! Excellent recipe! Wow. Thank you Joy!

this are my dad favourite, stored box, we know which brand it is..but i much rather make this ones for him :) thanks for sharing, love all your recipes, absolutely amazing, my fav are devil food cake and fudgy brownies
Hi, Stephanie. I believe we have some “affinities” between us. This is at least the second time I did the receipe before you put yours on the net! Let's continue to share this unexplained co-incidence in future for the 'joy of baking'!
I hope you will red this comment. I made this recipe today, following it exactly. I baked the cookies right after mixing the dough, as you say in the video, that is what you did. Well, they spread out flat ! After the first batch baked I put the formed cookies in the fridge, hoping to keep them from spreading, but it made no change. They do taste good, but have no body/shape.
Did you use a cookie scoop to form the cookies? I find that compacts the batter and helps to prevent spreading. Oven temperature is important. Too low and the batter will spread too much before it sets. You could buy a free standing oven thermometer to double check your oven’s calibration.
@@joyofbaking Thank you. I did use an ice cream scoop and weight the balls at 36gms, then press4d down on them a bit.. It's quite possible my oven temperature is off, however. I will buy a thermometer.
I have made a lot of recepies from you so far and my family just loves them. Especially the cookies and the brownies. You explain everything so clearly and it makes things so much easier. Thank you for all the efford you put into each of your videos. Have a great weekend 😊

Oatmeal- high in vitamin B and protein, walnuts- high in anti-ageing nutrition, raisins- high in iron, chocolate chips- high in yummy.
