WOW Mix! You've done it again! This is just beautiful! You make it look so easy. I've been thinking about doing a triptych but just haven't gotten up the never to do it yet. I sure wish you would sell DVDs of your wonderful work.
Can't wait for the DVD. I love your style, plus you use the same products I use. W&N are very good with their color saturation and uniformity and are great products for the price for oil paints. For acrylics I prefer Liquitex as well.
I use Windsor& Newton and Liquitex on the most part, but Im always trying new stuff!

Love, love, love your work. I may need to invest in that DVD you mentioned. I’ll go look for it. I do have to watch with the sound off though, as the deep base background music gives me a headache and causes me enormous stress. 😅

You don't have to because the acrylic polymer will outlive the canvas but I like to put a final coat on just to give an even finish.

I am probably your biggest fan. Love your composition. Do you dilute your acrylics with medium to give that creamy transparency? I love the way your colours come through the layers. I tried to use your technique, but the paint dries too soon and the upper layers covers the bottom ones completely....
Hi Tammy, Glad you like! Yes, I mix the paints with medium. It makes for a beautiful wash! You can continue to add medium to keep it workable longer.Start by just adding a little paint to the medium.The medium dries clear so don't be bashful with it. You may want to think about my "Painting Techniques" DVD which shows this process of creating and using washes and how I apply them.Enjoy!

Esther Axenty Hi Esther, Did my first oil painting at age 11. It was a still life and I still have it! That was in 1965. I remember it as if it was last week.
I use to paint posters for Children in local Hospitals, then my art teacher placed a bid for myself and 2 others to Make a very large Fruit display using variations of Paint and crushed glass. for Los Angeles Department of Water & Power it took nearly 6 weeks to finish. I always painted pictures mainly landscapes and lots of animal scenes, my favorite was Horses, a kid who sat next to me in 3rd grade taught me to draw them ..After watching your video I am inspired to return to my art work as it was always nice to escape to ...So thank you ...Your paintings are fantastic and more.
