I love how cats need to have attention on their own terms. They avoid you like the plague when *you* want to pet them but *_they will NOT be ignored!!_* lol, the catitude is real.
Lol facts though , both my cats do that and it's so annoying sometimes especially when I'm sleeping 🙆♂️ they jump onto the bed and wake me up just to play with them 💀
The first thing you have to learn is that you are living in THEIR house now. If they want to sleep in the chair you're sitting in, you will be moved. If they want to sleep on your bed, your toes will be gnawed on. I, for one, welcome our new Cat overlords.
@@steveleadbeater8662 The hell you do. I have trained all my cats to understand that I am the big dog in the house. They don't scratch or mess in my house. They ask permission for the things they want. They climb on ONLY the things I designate they can climb on. And they DO NOT leave my yard for any reason. They have their front claws and would not dare scratch me unless we are playing and even then will turn gentle instantly when they realize their claws came out.
And I have never once had to hit or yell at them for anything. Tone and presence work wonders.

In my family we call this particular age of a kitten "a carrot-tail age", when they're confused but fearless, still have that goofy newborn face and explore everywhere with the tail being an ultimate antenna
glad you explain ... I have one too and I am enchanted and captivated by her courage, fearlessness and loving yet demanding nature. She already knows how to ask for and get what she wants at my house. When she showed up in my yard pitifully crying, I forgot I had no intention to add a 4th kitty to my life. Oh well, Life won and we all won! My kitty already has an official name: Lovelight Streaming! but I call her lots of pudding-ish names as well like Peaches, Pumpkin Pie, Lollipop and Itty Bitskins!!! So funnee what they bring out in us, I love my cats and new kitty!
