The woman who says “I love you but I’m going to kill you!” Is very relatable. When I started to work from home my cat (Wyatt) wanted to be in front of my monitors all the time. Barely does it anymore after 3 years.
She could've put Finney into another room until she was done with her books.
Your kitty just wanted some attention, pet them while you work or look at them and talk t o them in a high pitched tone to make them feel appreciated and acknowledged! works almost every time

There was a classroom rule for one of our kids that "if a pet walks into view of the video, we will stop everything, acknowledge them for a few seconds, and then get back to topic"
and it really cheered me up
Makes a lot of sense, if you refuse to acknowledge it, it will leave room to kids getting distracted without your input or ability to control it, and it eases the lack of impulse control from too much screen time and what’s naturally present in kids.
Being able to cuddle my cats while listening and taking notes on my lectures actually helped me retain them better.
We did this in my college classes. Everyone loved my orange cat's antics in my camera.
Happened in all my classes during covid and it was the best thing ever 😂

On danish news, on DR, after the main events has been discussed and it's time for the weather forecast, they like to poke a little fun with puns and all, like about eachothers names and the current weather from time to time. So that really lightens up the mood and humanizes everyone involved

40 years of internet?! Wtf?! I am 44, and the first time I even HEARD of the internet was the early 90s. Most people didn’t even have internet until the mid 2000s. I did not have a PC until 2006, and prior to that, I only had access to the internet at the library or a friend’s home computer with dial up. The internet has not been around for over 40 years. Half of my life was spent without it.

The person who made this comment probably just googled when the internet was invented (which was, in fact, 40 years ago) but didn't know that it didn't become available to the public until ten years later. And even then, I don't think that cat videos were much of a thing until CZcams was invented over _another_ decade later.

As a professor, as bad as covid was, getting to meet students' pets and for them getting to meet mine, meet zoom classes easier to do and more enjoyable.
My roommate did ballet classes, and the cat tried to join in. He needs to work on pointing his toes.
Our yoga instructor also has enjoyed the warmth of getting to see all the felines (and occasionally doggos) helping their hyoomuns with yoga. :3

I was on a Zoom call with my Boss, a couple other partners and an extremely important client. Five minutes into the call? My tortie Molly decided to hijack the entire call. The client loved her. If anything, Molly helped to make the meeting a rousing success. 😺

Cats are on their own schedule the fact that someone is doing an interview or talking about the weather doesn't bother them at all. I hope there's a video featuring dogs as well.

Honestly the work environment would be 100 times better with some fluffy companions around to ensure stress levels and seriousness is kept at a stable level or low. This video is just proof of that. Everyone started off usually serious (as it is the news. serious topics) but was quickly lightened up thanks to the appearance of our fluffy friends here and even made most of us viewers watching this smile no doubt. Gotta love our animal friends!

I remember a nephew of mine brought a cat over to my parents' house and she grew very attached to my Dad. Dad had emphysema at the time and was sitting a lot in the living room chair breathing oxygen. He was in his last days and his health was very poor. The cat would always climb onto Dad's lap and curl up and he would always pet her while they'd watch TV together. She was the perfect companion for him. Dad passed away a few months later.
So sorry for your loss! My condolences 🌹!

I’m a music teacher teaching online. At first, I was really careful to keep my cat outside the office so she wouldn’t distract the kids. Then, I had a couple of students that had anxiety. I forgot to close the door one day and she hopped up. She helped my anxious students more than I ever could. They love her. She joins me now, whenever I need her. When the kids relax, she’ll hope down and go about her day.
