    Just picked up the FS 70r two days ago. Grabbed the 1 gallon Moro mix As well. Pretty excited to use it as I had a electric weed eater for 10 years (Came with the 1st house I brought, so wasn’t going to get a gas powered till it took a shit). Anyways, I love Stihl as I use their stihl 440’s for cutting cords of wood. Researched the Stihl weed eaters and opted for this one since it had great reviews. I’ll do a follow up comment after the summer...

    Glad you came by my channel. We Lawn Care Pros should stick together. How long have you had your FS70 now? Mine fired right up for another season of hard work. If I still did lawn care full time, I would get another one of these.

      I got it the end of last June and I love it the only thing I dislike is that you cant grease the gearbox. Id definitely buy another one. But if I get a new trimmer this year for bigger stuff I'm looking at the fs 91 or something Redmax or Echo we'll just have to wait and see

    Great video man i have the stihl fs56rc i got a question how long does the gas last u on this model cause my 56 in 4 yards or 3 it runs out of gas it sucks gas like crazy i know the 70 and the 56 have the same gas tank.

      @isaiahslawncare8600  Před 6 lety +1

      I used to have the 56 the 70 last about the same time but it has a little bit more power so you might get a little bit more out of a tank of gas

      The fs70 I just wouldn't quite call it professional like stihl does. Hope it's working good for you. Those echos are a beast! Goodluck

    Does the muffler get so hot that it will burn your arm if you put hold the trimmer sideways?

      @snoopfurlow1275 Před 4 lety +1

      No.but I realized uses more gas than the 4 mixes,dont wanna start once it get too hot,I upgraded to the fs 91r,didn't look back,better quality

      @isaiahslawncare8600  Před 4 lety

      I haven't had trouble with hot starts until here lately. But for some reason it is doing way better on gas than it has in the past I am looking into the the 91r myself or maybe another ECHO

    I can’t figure out how to lube my FS 70. Have you figured it out ?

      If you are talking about the gearbox. There is no way to do it because its sealed bearings. But don't worry my Fs 70 is on its 3rd year and still running strong with no added grease

    After spending over $300 for the FS-70, tax, string and oil i would expect this German firm would provide a way to grease the head.
    My dealer told me Stihl calls this a consumer product not commercial and that is the reason why there is no way to grease the head. The cost to provide a removable plug probably 35 cents. Its only a bolt hole and threaded bolt. What is the cost losing a customer.
    The replacement cost of the head is over $100. Stihl is a very greedy firm that should not be rewarded with another order.

      I have put mine through 3 years of abuse and it has had helped fine currently running better than ever without having a grease hole. Each to your own but it's a great product. However I am looking at the 91r
