I feel for all those who have prayed diligently for their children and have NOT YET seen any results. I say to you, do not give up, prayer does make a big difference but the answer is not always instant. I prayed the marriage prayer for my younger son for 12 years and held onto the knowledge that God hears all our prayers and all things are possible with Him. Watch your words because however much you pray, you get what you speak out... and everything is in God's timing and God's way, it is not up to us. We are to pray and believe God is in control and answers our prayers. Well after 12 years he met the "one" he'd been looking for all these years. God is not early or late... "But these things I plan (revelations I promised) won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day." Habakkuk 2:3. Run the race, He is faithful!

I prayed for my son and my daughter as soon as I knew I was pregnant.
(Wow, Stormie looks great!) Nothing could be more important and timely than to cover your kids in prayer. Kids today are being subjected to so many evils.
I read your book and prayed my Son through so many things. Now I am continuing to pray for my Precious Daughter, who loved the LORD her whole life, now says she is Pansexual.
I bought your book " The Power of Praying for your Adult Children" over a year ago. I have 6 adult children all whom walked away from God, but slowly I have seen them return.
My youngest is Gabriel he was the one I would have long conversations with about God and His word, at age 13 he was so dedicated and learning about God, had the desire to serve him, but when he was asked at a youth service to preach he was well prepared but completely froze up and that brought him to think that he was not meant to serve God.
There is so much more to my son's story, to long to share. He has joined the army and during basic training I wrote a prayer journal every day and I mailed him out the letters. He doesn't talk much about God anymore and he doesn't like it when I do.
I pray for all my children, and I believe that they all have a purpose in this life. I remarried and added 2 more adult children whom I also pray for, and I pray for my daughter's husbands and for my grandkids too.
My biggest worry is them not knowing the Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, to return to Him.
I want to thank you first for your wonderful books and secondly for this video, it encourages me not only to continue praying and not give up but to wait patiently, believing in my heart that God will reach them.

What about those of us who have prayed for years and whose adult children don’t walk with the Lord? This makes me feel like I did it wrong. I didn’t pray often enough or long enough.. it is absolutely heartbreaking to see both of your children turn away from everything they were ever taught about the Lord. Did (do) they not see Him in me? I need to let of this regret and trust He is still working and calling them back. I know this in my head, but getting it to my heart is another thing.
Lisa Taylor, oh my word, I could have written this entire thing. Literally, word for word, this is me with my son & daughter. And exactly how I feel about myself. It’s all so heartbreaking. What went wrong? I ask myself this over & over. So many people don’t understand what this is like. Let’s pray for each other and our adult children, ok? 🙏🏼

Blessings to you. My daughter almost died twice of Autoimmune Lupus with Kidney disease and Lupus of the Brain. I pray she finds a Christian husband. Only Jesus will cure her Lupus someday. May she be blessed with a Christian husband. May all 3 of my children be born again.

This comment may come from left field, but the next time you're sifting through your older CDs and cassette tapes in your contemporary Christian selection, check for the producer of the album. Not many people know this, but Michael Omartian, Stormie's husband was, and still is a musician producer who's name is credited to, for about every two to three albums you come across. If you can find them on Amazon or eBay, I highly reccomend getting his music. Some of the albums, they team up with together. One of my favorites that I have is their Mainstream album from 1982.
As a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & mother of 3 adult children, I labor daily interceding in prayer for my adult children. Praying for them my 2 daughter's and 1 son (youngest) to marry Godly spouses. Almighty God forbid any of us to be unequally yoke with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18! Yeshua, praying O God to remain in Your perfect will of God and living in revival!
Continue praying interceding for all of our younger generation, to remember things of God they have been taught, even in their younger adulthood! In Jesus' Holy, Majestic, Sovereign Name!

I've prayed for so many people through out my life but never really realized till now something very importantly. Praying for those around us is also so important. As a customer Service i deal with many faces a day. And I never understood why people wake up so angry so early. It's because they need a prayer from all of us. I know God has heard my prayers. I have to many testomony but not all have been answer. All I could say I beileve in Jesus Christ . When i was about 7-8 yrs old I had a dream of God seeing... him coming to earth and fighting with Evil. I was only a child and I always wonder why would I have a dream so deep and felt so real. Now I am in my late 30's and I know he has a purpose. I also always wonder why was i the chosen one. As I was a twin and I survived. I never really prayed for my 3 girls one went off to college who has chosen a different direction in the kind of partner she just told be she is in a relationship with another woman she just turn 20 yrs old she's stayed in dorm since day one. I know she needs a prayers she's always been a great innocent young girl. She knows I believe otherwise and although my biggest mistake was not showing her more about You Jesus Christ. I have faith and will pray for her to meet a guy with faith and will love her protect her and show her God forgives her. Its never to late to change to ask God for guidance. My second daugther is in her last year of high school and she's doing so far good. I have been praying allot more for my girls. My youngest gift from God continue to blessed with my baby girl who just turn 3yrs I started praying for her now. Star praying for your children's now. Who they are the gutter of this world. In the name Of Jesus Christ I pray for each one of my brothers and sisters my neighbors my co workers for every person I come across today and everyday to guide them closer to you and only You. Amen Beautiful Story I started to cry with only 30 sec of watching it. I felt like it was meant for me to watch it. It was the first video I came across. I will serve you my God...you been calling me for to long. And I have waisted time.

please pray for my daughter Nicole that I have been wrongfully alienated from for the past 6 years, she is lost and alone in the world and has been used abused and lied to by her father and his family, leading her to belive she must live in hiding the rest of her life. I can not even have an address and I have no way of knowing if she is ok or not. They tell me nothing and use her against me and lead her to believe I am abusive even thought I have custody of my two other kids or are healthy, happy and two two of the most well adjusted kids you would ever meet. Please help me please pray for her safe return and for God to life the vail and to remove the fear that has been instilled in her heart.

Wow I'm late hearing this an a bit overwhelmed I hadn't many years with my children when I first got saved they were all already teenagers, and I took quite a fall, now they are all grown and I've grandchildren, and I weep constantly before God for them and quote a Word, that God will contend with those who contend with me, and my children He will save, there are others to as we search the Word, He shows us His promises, and once we've done all we can then STAND Amen on His Word, it won't come back to Him void, but Will accomplish all He sent it forth to do' Thanks for sharing this very encouraging message it did lift my heart.

I read that and it helped me a great deal with my children, when they were younger. I need this new book about adulthood. I have a 23 year old Son and a 21 year old daughter. I need this prayer. Please prayer for my two children. They both know the Lord but they need more protection from munipulative mates. The wrong people are coming to them that aren't good for them. It's a long story. May they hear God's voice and make the right decisions and choose the right mates.

Please pray for my son that he finds Jesus Christ and confidence as a young man in spite of not having his father alive since he was a year old. My daughter also because she desperately wanted to know her dad and he died before she was born, leaving her with a huge hole and feelings of rejection and insecurity because of the nature of his death. Please God help them to find you, to lean on you and know they are really loved and to help them find their identities as strong Christians in spite of all they've been through in their young lives. I am so sorry that we were led astray into the wrong faith before they were born which may have given them a bad message about you. I pray for their relationships that they are based on love, not insecurity, that they learn to curb their tendency to drink too much, and certainly for my son's lovely girlfriend that she will continue to be such a good influence and to fill each one with the strength of your Holy Spirit.

i wish i had done that when my children were growing up. I have a daughter and three granddaughters who need prayer to know how to trust God and rely on him.there is so much that has happened in their life I have known God is real but realize I never knew He will help and answer our prayers , where do I begin at this stage in there life and my husbands life. Please tell her about domestic violence shelters and counseling. She needs to get out, tell her it's best for her kids to get out. If she doesn't, it's child abuse, seeing her get hurt and they might be getting hurt too. Maybe you can let her and her kids live in your home for a year or two, until she can get the training she might need to get a good paying job. I'm praying for her.

My children were raised in the church but my oldest three were older when we got into church. When my youngest daughter was fourteen she went to live with her dad's family. Where she was abused and not allowed to have any contact with myself or her siblings. When she was seventeen God granted my prayers and brought her back to us. It's been prophetcied she will bring the youth to revial. She is not in church anymore and grown with two beautiful little girls. She is in a abusive relationship and not married. I am just now learning about praying for your children. Please everyone keep her in your prayers.

This is such a beautiful story of faithful prayer and joyful outcomes because the Lord was invited into all aspects of Stormie & her husband's children's lives!!! I just ask what do you do if you weren't a parent who prayed these prayers. You didn't know God at this level and didn't realize the importance of praying for your children, but you loved your children and only wanted God's best for them, even if you didn't know what that was or what that looked like or that you needed to pray about that in order for a good outcome. I love our grown children and their spouses and nothing would bring more joy to my life then each of them having a love walk with the Lord and a great relationship with each other because the Lord is central to their lives. I pray that this will one day be the truth about their lives and that the enemy will no longer be able to keep them in darkness and steal from them the best that God truly has for each person once they come into the Kingdom of light. I am not proud of my shortcomings and the fact that I was not there where Stormie was as her children grew up. I only pray that despite that God can still move powerfully into my grown children's lives and my grand-children's lives and bring about His hearts desire for them to know Him and to walk with Him and to have strong personal relationships that have Him as the center of it all. I pray this with a fervency and faith in the One Who Loved us all when we were all afar off and still paid the ultimate price because His Love saw great joy through the sacrifice of His very own life.
This too is my prayer. I did not lead my children in the manner of God's will. They have gone astray but I pray with the power and authority that we have through Christ Jesus that my children will be save and under God's grace. God will renew the minds of our Children in Jesus name.

I need this NOW!!!!
So how do you deal with this. I also prayed for my children from before their births. I also prayed for the marriage partners. My prayers were heartfelt and I truely believed they would end up marrying the right Christian partners. My oldest son and daughter made wrong choices. They have had several partners of whom they never married. My son eventually married an atheist who walked out on him. One big problem for her was our faith. My son tried hard to be an atheist but couldn't pull it off.
Now he has found a wonderful women. They have both recently commited their lives to the Lord. They live together but want to marry. My son does not have the finances to go abroad and sort out the divorce so they continue to live together.
My daughter also has had various partners. She has a beautiful 5 year old daughter from a previous one night stand. Their is a big story in her life about all of this that I won't go into. She has been living with a man whom we have all fallen in love with and has been a wonderful father to her daughter.
Today she told me she has broken up with him for various reasons. The biggest being that he doesn't share her faith! I pray continually for my children...through the heartaches and all.
I have a daughter who is happily married to a wonderful man who shares her faith. I also have a wonderful son who would make a great husband a father. He doesn't want to get married. I continue to pray for him to marry the right woman who would share in his deep faith. I know marriage will be extremely fulfilling to him.
My life time prayers for my older children didn't get answered ans this has left me with a broken heart. Despite this I continue to pray for them.
