Ryan if you’re reading this, my grandfather went to Arizona in like 2007 and brought me back a deck from a place called Freedom Board shop, I knew nothing about it but I found them on MySpace and I’m pretty sure you were featured on there as a team rider. I’ve been following you ever since and it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come.

Damn Ryan does up to 35 miles a day and uses an inhaler, this man is a beast.
Ryan was at KTR in Arizona helpin out for the week, had the privilege meeting him before Welcome. Genuine good person me and my dad gave him a gift card to some restaurant in the area and you could see the authenticity in his smile and thanks never forget seein that as a kid I’m now 21. Big ups Ryan never forget ya!
I met him at Slow Impact and he signed my board. Very cool guy overall.
Ryan’s skating is so structured and he has the best bag of tricks. I’ve been following him on IG for maybe 3 or 4 years but had no idea that he was in his mid 30s or had this long of a history in the industry

This is a huge video for the AZ skate community super stoked to see all the dudes in the interviews and Ryan getting the recognition he deserves. Super cool to learn hes into trail running and through hiking.

@@Chris-uh5vv absolutely agree. I remember some road trip video from Welcome and Nora appearing to me as such an obnoxious big mouth. Those call outs from GH seem to really hit their marks where they should also with Burnett not being able to avoid a gruff comment.

I love Patrick O’Dells transformation from young energetic guy in the early vids to now “I’m interested in hiking…”, his voice now sounding noticeably older.
Dude is doing stuff I can barely pull off in Skate 3...Never heard of Ryan Lay before watching but wow what a great episode. He's a good example of a free bird or a lone wolf. Never happy with just staying put and always looking around the bend for that new and exciting journey.
