So diabetes medications are AIMED to help you lose weight because fat increases insulin resistance so by losing weight you can help utilize insulin stores within the body (if he was a type 2 diabetic, in particular). 60 lbs within 2 months is certainly a drastic change from baseline but was he having any other symptoms then? Was he also depressed or have any other concomitant health issues? Was he also exercising and changing his diet? Those are also important questions to ask. Sure, marijuana can help stimulate appetite but it moderate amounts. There's still a lot we do not know about marijuana (including the bad). A healthy lifestyle is the best way to go about with things, everything in moderation.

Another asked about pain killers her dad gets from the doctor. Those were ok, too, because they came from a doctor. The Dare thing scared the hell out of me so I never did any drugs til a couple of years ago (I was 46 when I smoked weed for the first time), but I drank heavily from when I was 13 til about 40 when my body just couldn't handle getting drunk anymore. If Dare had said alcohol was as bad as drugs, I would never had touched it, or at least gotten so heavily involved with it.

A bong in and of itself is not drug paraphernalia any more than a spoon or aluminum foil is; it can be used for hookah or tobacco which are legal. This means they found evidence that she was using something other than marijuana. She’s not being completely transparent and pled no contest to the charge.

I’m the same. I steer clear of “flower” because of the smell, & have used high concentrations of oils and distillates in small batteries, or “pens”. There’s no smell. I have a small safe & a locked box, if needed, my son is 12, my niece is 9. She is not aware of it, my son is. He knows it’s moms medicine… my husband is an alcoholic & I’m “not allowed” to have a drink, nor do I want to, as my son has voiced his feelings on the matter of alcoholism. He says there’s no difference in my behavior with my medication, vs my husband being a sloppy (but happy) drunk. I do smoke my vape pen in the late night, I don’t hide it- I don’t think sneaking it is a good idea, with a 12 year old. He has no desire to try it right now, and when he is of age I have no issues with him using it, if needed.❤️‍🩹🫶🏼

Ended up upgrading from weed to pills, now almost a decade later, 2 prison sentences, and my kids barely knowing who i am. I'm a full blown fentanyl addict, and all because I just wanted to smoke pot and raise my kids. I know i went on a downward spiral, and i accept im at fault. My mom sees weed as an evil drug and even a gateway drug, but it’s far from that… I mainly only use it when I’m in pain or nauseous, I prefer edibles. She will get unreasonably mad. She literally thinks it makes you a lazy human, but it’s far from that, since I was 11, I went thru trauma and resulted in my motivation and even creativity to be crushed, once I started using edibles, I felt both my motivation and creativity immediately return, I had no idea what relaxing felt like either. It’s helped w/ anxiety and with my autism too. Like I said, I only do it every once in a while, but it’s only

Nah, it definitely contributes to laziness. Talking from personal experience. I'm all for legalising it but it's not the miracle plant that everyone claims it to be. It IS addictive and physically so which is also coming from personal experience it just simply has a low toxicity compared to other substances. I haven't touched the stuff in just under a month and I'm functional again, able to routinely do housework and commit to my social life more. I'm on a waiting list to get diagnosed with autism, too. Not to mention that there are very few studies regarding long-term effects of cannabis use, only short-term studies on its benefits and if you want to learn more about that look up Dr. Anna Lembke who is a researcher that has published books on the subject.

If it weren’t for that plant I would not have made it through high school and probably would have offed myself to escape my own anxiety and depression.

Also, sugar and caffeine are VERY addictive so you're essentially admitting that weed is also by stating it's "not addictive any more" than them. The obesity increases in the US and Europe are due to sugar being put into everything and making people addicted.
I know someone who has smoked for more than a decade and even has it on prescription now yet his anxiety isn't improving. Why? Because instead of facing the anxiety and building some character he runs away and smokes. You don't smoke because you're anxious you're anxious because you smoke. Also I had crippling anxiety and depression. I tried counseling, therapy, self help apps you name it. This plant that you think is so evil helped with CBD alone. Yes it does not cure anxiety or depression but guess what NOTHING WILL. It’s something you will battle for the rest of your life but there are things you can do to help. For me that was the use of this plant. Now I don’t need to be medicated at all times to keep me from offing myself. I’m pregnant now and I don’t smoke at all and guess what, still functioning. When I was medicated I was a zombie with it and couldn’t function without it.
You can’t generalize the plant itself based on the shortcomings of those around you. Those people had personal things they needed to work on.
Lastly I brought up caffeine and sugar not to say they are healthy or non addictive at all but to bring up the point that if you become addicted that’s because you have a dependency issue. Not because of the plant. It was also to bring up the fact that the war against this plant is not because it causes harm. It’s because the American government can’t figure out how to get enough of the profits to be satisfied nor is it able to completely control its creation and distribution.

She absconded with them and when she turned herself in, the state put them in foster care instead of giving them back to me. Their mother committed multiple felonies and the state just took her word for it. I was put through what’s called a child in need of care case and it was very very difficult to get my kids back. I had to take mental health assessments, drug and alcohol assessments, go to therapy, follow all of these rules and do all of these programs. I had to move out of my own house so my parents could move in to my house traveling all the way from Minnesota so my kids could come home and get out of foster care. I was not allowed contact with my kids for months. All over an allegation. An allegation that my local police department had already investigated. I’ve had many protection from abuse orders filed on me and all have been unsubstantiated by dcf, and yet, they still took my kids away and I still get dcf showing up at my house on the regular for false accusations made against me. Go KANSAS!

His lie detector test was inclusive & my mother sent me to Charter mental hospital for 2 months & then drove me to every therapy appointment once I was out with a glass of vodka in one hand. She would regularly back me into a corner of the house literally begging me to hit her so she could call the cops and have me taken away. She bruised like a peach & if I bruised her while breaking out of that corner she called them. She reported me a runaway half the times I took our dog for a walk. I went to jdc for tipping over a little end table & breaking nothing cuz she reported that I threw the table at her & she was afraid for her life. From jdc I spent another few months in the psych ward at smmc. My mom had everyone convinced I only made up that my dad molested me in order to ruin her life. I left the minute I turned 18. Oh yeah Kansas is great at protecting children. Joco is the worst at being ridiculously punishing no matter what. More court for us means more money for them.

They didn’t show any effects or signs from it you would never be able to guess they smoke they are good at hiding it. The most frequent shoppers at dispensary are parents and older people.

Also live in Kansas & that it true. This is likely politically motivated. The dcf is being told where to go and what to do And what not to do. They need to increase statistics that show pot in a bad light. In my area of ks every other does meth, so it makes sense to act like someone using one illegal drug even tho they risk losing their kid by doing so, well use meth also. A seriously disturbing amount of people are addicted to meth.

@somewhereupthere785 I grew up with hardcore addicts in my family also. I come to realize and I'm not young woman. The substance isn't the addict the person is. Many people in this world can use recreational drugs with control. I would take a pot smoker over an Alcoholic anyday. I would trust my children with somebody who has smoked a joint over somebody who has sat down and drank beer spirits or wine. I understand where fear comes from in that situation. I think it is very important to teach your children control, Because at the end of the day, no matter where you go, there you are. I've also realized that trying to control the people around you drives them away from you.
