George Mikel I'm not seeing the comment I replied to, but he claimed Lampard won it and I told him Terry did. Whether I was mistaken in the year Terry won it, it doesn't really matter, because the point was Lampard had never won it.
What's even worse about Aguero not being POTY is that he has never even be in the TOTY. Even in 2014/15 when he was top scorer. Robbery.
It's just because he played for man city! If he played for lets say a united or liverpool he would have gotten in without a shout!

Leroy Amon Suarez scored 31 and was one of the top assist makers, can't argue with him winning it although I get yaya was from midfield.

David Beckham was also robbed of European and World Player of the Year Glory in 1999. Manchester United won the lot in 1999, and David Beckham was the best player and involved in all the big moments.

So you've said that both Torres and Vidic should have won it in 2008/09 when in reality it should have been Gerrard by a country mile.
So we meet again. I personally think it should have been Vidic. It was our defence that carried us that season. Either way, how giggs won it baffles me? These votes should have been genuine, and it is the player who vote it, right? Cannot believe most of them voted out of emotions.
Torres didnt deserve it in 08-09, he missed alot of games through injuries and had some games where he wouldnt score and we drew lots of those games, Gerrard maybe deserved it, Giggs got it because they thought it would be his final season.

Aguero has never even got in PFA Team of Year, even years when he's been top goalscorer! In the year, City won the league and he scored 23 goals, he didn't even win Young Player of the Year, it went to Walker!

Roy Keane should've got it in1999 but it went to ginola. Apparently the votes were stretched across the United treble winning team that year, hence ginola winning it. Keane was the most immense player Europe at the time, was a proper travesty.

How can you miss out on David Silva
There so many people who could have been POTY. It all down to season performance and players who stand out on whatever season it is. The only 2 players I felt that should have won on was Torres 09 and Aguero 2013 or 2012 I think. Others were unlucky because someone else had a better season. People like Scholes, Schmeichel, Lampard and others since awards started are just unlucky. I'm not a fan of Team of the Year itself but Player of the Year definitely. At least Schmeichel, Lampard and Scholes are Hall of Famers or Future Hall of Famers.
