Well ...... maybe a bit more polishing. Sounds very much like a "just so" story. I wonder if some of these authors had ever watched any of the classic war movies.
Sam Peckinpau's 1977 flick "Cross of Iron" has a far better story line, even with the flaws in some of the character's dialogue.

Another garbage story....... Took out a death weapon then took out a base and all the time beating 6 on 1 ship fight.... with all that they made it back..... PLEASE.....!!!!!
