- The British wanted to maintain the "balance of powers" to avoid France emerging as a continental power and this explains the british policy of appeasement in the 30s which allows Hitler to reach power and to make Germany a new military threat. Anyway this is our point of view in France and I understand you have yours.
Okay, I officially drop "Helicopters don't fly, they're so ugly the earth repels them." This is some beautiful beating the air into submission, great video!
Impressionnant.
Blackhatter Guess what, France never capitulated once, and you'll say, what about WWII, I'll awnser you that France government was in London at that time, it's the French State which is a dictatorship that surrendered, so yeah there was 2 France, except that French State is today not recognised as official so technically France fought to the end of WWII. You didn't knew that huh
Blackhatter These are battle capitulation not the whole country surrendering you dumbass, everyone got battle capitulation even if France win/defeat ratio is one of the greater and continue to be even more greater with the fights against Isis where our troops are deployed in Africa on a territory twice or even three time larger than France. Plus Maginot line was effective because the Nazi had to go by Belgium to flank it, you can say that we shall have prolonged it to the Atlantic ocean and your right except we didn't had the money and putting a big fortress wall just at the foots of two allied country could make a diplomatic crisis
Excellent !! i love that video and the first one too !! French pilots are famous (WWI, WWII (join the RAF) and nowadays. There are pretty crazy and we never hear about a accident or shit like that ... like americans ... French Pilots Rock !! looking forward for the third video !! 2:51 !!! CRAZY !!
Finally, a video that lives up to it's title!!! And the first thing I was thinking when I saw the french helicopter own the power lines and split those trees was the US Army's apache pilots that tried negotiating the two trees and lost... and then they showed the vid at the end! Priceless! In their defense though, it was at night and you lose major depth and sight perception with NVG's. Still hillarious none the less!
Impressionnant!!
***** If you fly straight towards a powerline, of course it's suicidal, LOL. If you do a tourist-tour and fly towards a giant skyscraper, it's suicidal aswell.. Y U NO common sense?
Alo De Lore the French air force and ALAT are known worldwide for their tactical flights . There is simply no other army who train to fly low like that. The BBC did a interesting report on the subject.
Awesome! Finally I have some evidence to show people complaining about "movies that is too unrealistic, because it's impossible to fly near ground", thanks
great vid dude thanks for the little joke at the end, both pilots are ok by the way that's why it's funny.and to answer my friend alex up there. may be thoses pilot's parents were flying choppers in vietnam too. you know since the french were there before.
In France in WWII, the French were nice and welcoming and you had to fight the Germans to get onto the beach. In 2013, the French hate your guts and you still have to fight the Germans to get onto the beach. I kid, I kid, but I always loved that one :P
Wow now this is absoultely AMAZING pilot skill on display here. Who cares what nation they come from. This is man & machine as one. And what makes it even more amazing is that these are helicopters being flung around like they were F-16s. You have to remember that helicopters can be very unforgiving if you dont know what you are doing but what you see here is just that: supreme pilot skill. Wicked video!
Cool video! I saw the original footage of the end. And yeah...it's embarrassing. Like all pilots though...it's a matter of time before extreme flying catches up to you.
The french pilots aren't crazy, they're just the best
Yes the skill of the French pilot was crucial to France beating Germany in WW2... oh... wait... nevermind.
YetiOnCocaine Yes it is true ... but France did not become the aircraft carrier of the USA like England...oh...wait...nevermind.
-
Actually Serbian pilots did loop with Gazela ! Aerospatiale said its impossible.
French pilots are trained to avoid radar detection so it's PART OF THEIR TRAINING.
That is a lot of skill and big time balls. I salute those French pilots.
Thanks for your service mate French Forces , from Australia
Love you Australian brothers ;)
You, Australian, make very fine wool. Us, frenchies, can sold you a lot of smart planes :-D Even for entertainment !

Most Anglo-saxons don't like us, but we don't mind, we quiet like them, especially their sisters and daughters!
Is'nt'it ?

+Captain JC Kidder ATP
Gazelle is one of my favorit chopper ever. I dunno why, but I just fucking love it.

That´s playing with contributive money with class!!
In aviation, the only difference between stupidity and bravery is the skills to back it up. These guys have got the skills!

Looks like the frenchs know how to have fun ^^
Génial la bande-son!^^
Awesome pilot skills, but also very risky. No prompting, please! A person who does this is guilty of an offence. Proper respect to the skills.

That helicopter kinda looked like Blue Thunder, great flying and vid
Flying a helictoper low has nothing to do with crazy or suicidal..
It's a basic thing.
Every pilot can do stuff like that.
***** If you fly straight towards a powerline, of course it's suicidal, LOL.
If you do a tourist-tour and fly towards a giant skyscraper, it's suicidal aswell.. Y U NO common sense?
Yes all the pilots can do this... except the Americans.
***** ? What is this supposed to say?
Alo De Lore the French air force and ALAT are known worldwide for their tactical flights . There is simply no other army who train to fly low like that. The BBC did a interesting report on the subject.
si les impots passent la dedans ,ok
Vol "tactique" !
Awesome! Finally I have some evidence to show people complaining about "movies that is too unrealistic, because it's impossible to fly near ground", thanks

BOOM! Cow strike! Cool video.
I don't know if I'd want to be in the cockpit of that thing, staring right at the ground like that.
i love the stab at the americans at the end.
Cool video! I saw the original footage of the end. And yeah...it's embarrassing. Like all pilots though...it's a matter of time before extreme flying catches up to you.
