For a wind flag i use yellow caution tape tied to a old used cb antennae duct taped to a 4' 2x4 board stuck in a used target base
for my air guns and powder burners, -kind of half-azz but it works well. Very nice channel/content 👍
Those AEA 30 caliber 44 grain pellets group great in my rifle as well. I've only shot them out to 50 yards but they do quite nicely. Great shooting Noor and Happy Easter!😊🎉
You, too, sir!!
These are all I’ve been using lately too. I use the .357s too.
I live somewhere very sandy so i generally use that as my reference lol don't worry too much about the flags. However i have seen competitive shooters visually examine and weigh their projectiles before deeming them competition worthy. If love to see a video of you testing that on that level too!
I found with my 30 sl tethering caused a regulator problem. Had more consistence just filling the tank without tethering.
Wow!!
Wish I had that rifle.
Nice video, I would be tempted to buy one of these, if they put a nice wood or laminate stock, that drab green doesn’t work for me . Thanks
64 grain Griffin slugs.... use high power.... 115 fpe.... much better accuracy, no fliers. Griffin are the slugs for G2 30 get the cup base 64 grain if you want to shoot groups.
For lower power JSB/FX/AEA or any 44.8 grain will do. Don't bother shooting light slugs at lower power, you will get fliers (as you are seeing in your video).
You also need an aftermarket barrel band on Guantlet 2 if you want it to be consistent at all
If a barrel band is so good I wish they would just incorporate it on the SL in the factory. I am contemplating getting the band on my V1 G30.
Well done buddy , great vid and I have learnt lots! Can you do this whole thing again with a top end gun now so we can see the difference? 😮😀
I do need to practice with my Dynamic, but I don’t currently have a high end gun set up for Benchrest 😅.
@@TheDollarSportsman say what?
What's the dia.of the pellets. The gun might like a thousandths of an inch bigger then the bore
Can you tell me more about bench rest target in the competition match like do you get one shot for the one target and move on to the next and add up your score or how does it go
Yes that’s exactly right. Each target gets one shot, and you add your score from each (4-10 rings) for a potential of 250 total points (25 targets). You can send as many as you want at the sighting targets :).
100 yard's .50 yard's maybe i mised it .when is see this it must be very over a 100.if it aint ?🤣
About how many actual dollars does the whole rig come to.. $Sportsman? I mean I get it, you're reaching for a budget competition airgun. And I see the value of putting a budget shooter on the cheekpiece of that rig. But I just want to ask if you can maybe include a cost breakdown in the descriptions on these more elaborate setups. It'd save a lot of splainin' to some of my overzealous beginner friends. Good vid though.
Gauntlet: 500
Hawke Sidewinder: 600
DonnyFL: 200ish
Scope rings: 60?
Total: 1360 :). It adds up for sure (though about 1/4 of the cost of competitor setups).
