If you block both VGR valve holes, going from the exhaust to the intake and then not connecting the wires up to anything, will it still give you a check engine light or burn your catalytic converter up?
I’ve been told you can but I’ve never done it myself. I would imagine, at worst, you may have to undo the mounts and tilt the motor to get to the starter bolts.
Theirs a resistor you put in the EGR plug that turns it off. ASSUMING you actually get a CEL. My 94 never got a CEL after deleting it so I never had to use a resistor
@@minhnguyen96 it does not make the engine run hotter. It literally says on the kit makes intake manifold slightly cooler because it doesn’t have hot exhaust gases being put back into the manifold. And that’s just something most 1UZ enthusiasts know already and anyone else that’s deleted their EGR on other cars. You should see how dirty a 1UZ manifold gets with and without. huge difference
This is great I been wanting to delete my EGR in my LS400 thanks for sharing

Check engine lite. Shouldn't hurt the cats.
I need to delete the egr exausht aswell, any tips
will I be able to do the egr delete and starter replacement with Jack stands?

holy shit that theme song has The Lick
Hello
What happens if you only disconnect electricity from egr without closing the pipes?
I'm actually not sure...
Nothing happens. I Unplugged mine until I deleted it. Mines a 94
So next thing is how to remove the cel after the delete?

@@spartanreaper911 Then you have other problems with your ECU. A missing EGR will throw a Code 71 every time.
@@lovebaja I may just be lucky then lol, because I recently had my ECU rebuilt before doing the delete, it runs like a champ
What benefits do you get from deleting the egr setup?
For me, it’s just a way to simplify the system.
@@permanentprojects Preciate the response I got a code for mine n wondering what’s my next step
Cleaner Intake air. Need a resistor, I'm working on it myself.
Hey, why not just get the kit from Lextreme? Best money I ever spent! Anyway, thanks for the video - it helped a LOT, bro! Much thanks.
Honestly, I had the metal lying around and had the time. I’m glad it helped!
He just saved 99

@@lovebaja um yes it is guy? 😂😂 dude it just blocks exhaust gases.
@@pushhrodd01 you have no idea what you're talking about
Why would you remove the egr... does it make the engine performance better?
The reason I did it was to clean up unnecessary things. It makes it easier to get around and looks cleaner.
It does make it run a lot better
@@THEONLYWAY117 but hotter and fast wear on engine
