  • Like in years past, the 2023 #CSUWaterInTheWest was a conversation about purpose and policy for a secure water future, and how to empower the next generation of leaders in that space.
What gives you optimism about the future of water in the American West and around the globe? During last weeks event we snagged four students from the Colorado Water Center's Water Fellows Program to ask them just that.
The Colorado Water Center (CoWC) Water Fellows Program aims to elevate and serve undergraduate and graduate students from historically excluded/ marginalized communities or identities in the water sector. Each cohort of CoWC Student Fellows partners with CSU faculty, staff, and community members to explore topics in water sustainability and environmental justice and equity. The Fellows work with community members to support projects that benefit the environment and improve livelihoods.
The CoWC Water Fellows Program provides a platform for previously excluded voices in conversations and decision-making around water. We draw on the strengths and perspectives of students from underrepresented groups and students with community engagement skills.
