    Thanks for the tip using the backwoods mobile gear straps have been using them to strap down four gen 3 tethrd one sticks to my LWCG .5 and that set up is the ticket really fast super light so far so good with these sticks got a bunch of hunts in with them and super solid no standoff wobble at all I think they might have finally got them right awesome content Subbed

    Excellent video. I felt like I was sitting across the table from you. I especially like the no BS, and telling like it is. I run the 1.0 with LWCG doubles. I am going to try attaching sticks to seat like you did. I currently use J hooks to attach two sticks to each side but that makes my pack too wide and the top corners of sticks catch a lot of brush.

    You should make a video of you climb a tree with that gear. It would be a good follow up. Awesome set up though. You’ve really got me thinking. I’ve seen guys use 550 paracord to make their seats into a shelf like you have on the 1.0.
    I don’t know how tall you are but I’m 6’4” and go 260-270 in my birthday suit. The beast stand is only rated for 275. I know they debated back-and-forth with calling 300 good but decided to scale it back to 275. Also it’s about 3 1/2 inches narrower and I am a little bit concerned about the boot room next to those cables if I’m gonna always have my legs up against cables but the platform is a couple inches longer which would be nice and it weighs a pound or two less. The weight difference isn’t that big of a deal to me however the roominess of the platform is my greatest concern.

    Is that the large size Haul All? I like the looks of it. I have one of those small MOLLE pouches under my XOP seat but it doesn't hold quite enough. I'd just like to eliminate a pack altogether and keep essentials in there. Also I agree with your reasoning for going back to a hang on. I'd rather spend less time tinkering with my setup and spending more time finding deer and getting access to properties. It's easy to get caught up in the gear side of the hunting industry.

    • @arrowsanonymous7394

    Great content ands so I subscribed! Felt like you're speaking directly to me as our thought process regarding stand weight, ease of use, simple creative ways of making something better and packing out are much aligned. To that end my question is, once you have your deer quartered up, how do you plan on packing it out utilizing just the seat as a shelf? Backpack, just bags or something else?

  • @dustinhoffman9843
    @dustinhoffman9843 Před 2 lety +1

    Freakin awesome breakdown video right there brotha. I've tweaked a couple things lately but run almost the same system you have. I've got the lwcg doubles and use the versa hanger on my harness. Mike and Austin both make awesome stuff and imma check out that Haul All pack you got under the seat and the strap system Mike made you. Also I bought a Kifaru Sherman pack that has compression straps that works freakin awesome for load slinging meat between the pack and your stand if you're going way back. Thanks for the video and tips man, and good luck this season

    So that bow holder is something that Lonewolf custom gear makes? Does it fit other stands like a beast stand? Speaking of that did you look into the beast stand when you were deciding what to get? Was the shelf the determining factor in going with Lonewolf custom gear 1.0?

    • @arrowsanonymous7394
      @arrowsanonymous7394  Před 2 lety +1

      It is! It’s called the sidekick it’s on their sight. And yes the shelf deffinately gave the 1.0 the edge over the beast stand

    Some guys put foam inside the tubes on those one sticks too quiet them down more if you do clank them together at all. It’s kind of like a tuning fork until you fill it with foam from what I understand. Have you done that to your sticks?

    • @arrowsanonymous7394
      @arrowsanonymous7394  Před 2 lety +1

      No I didn’t have any sound issues unstacking. That canned foam actually erodes metals over time. I do pipe fitting and I’ve seen it it cause leaks around the year mark. But these sticks are actually headed back. Every stick has broken the chemical bond and it’s moving some, the roll pins holding them but for longevity I don’t want to risk my 500 dollars being tied up in something I can’t use
