Bartok's Dance in Bulgarian Rhythm no 6

The final piece in the final book of Bartok's Mikrokosmos, written 1936-39. It has driving Bulgarian rhythms and uses 'bimodalism', being in two keys at once. The asymmetrical time signature (3/8+3/8+2/8) with its accents sounds jazzy, and Nancy Litten wonders whether Bartok was influenced by Gershwin's 'I got rhythm', written a few years earlier.
