    58 year old woman did this with no issues whatsoever. Thank you for the step by step. Hardest part was finding the extension arm for the 7 mm screw that was way far in my husband’s messy garage. Feeling pretty accomplished.

    Was quoted $450 to get this fixed by a mechanic. Did it for myself on my 2013 Ford Explorer for $25. This helped immensely! Thank you!

      love to hear stories like this! nothing wrong with mechanics but love when people tackle repairs by themselves too!

    Appreciate the video. My wiper was acting up and I saw your video yesterday. Ordered the part and it came today and easily was able to replace it and it works like it's supposed to. Thanks for making the video and even bigger thanks for making it straight to the point and not dragging on for not important things!

      sorry I don’t…I’m a small operation 😂 only showing real repairs I do on my own house & cars!

    Thank you! I myself can replace this now. I wonder if your wife is having an issue with her passenger seat not moving when the button is pushed... thats my next repair.

    • @daddoesitALL
      @daddoesitALL  Před 7 měsíci +1

      amazing! we have the exact same issue on my wife’s passenger seat. I’ve done some research and the issue is basically with the button not fully pressing the control. I have not tackled this one yet as at first glance you have to take apart a good portion of the chair to pull off the button. I’ll definitely make a video if I do the repair!

      @@daddoesitALL Yes!! I can't stand it. My husband can't even sit in the passenger seat. He always has to drive.

    I have a 2014 Edge, how can I check if mine has the rain sensor or does not have the rain sensor? Because that changes which part I buy right?

    • @daddoesitALL
      @daddoesitALL  Před 4 měsíci +1

      if you have a rain sensor you can see it from outside of your car looking at your windshield glass. Typically it’s towards the top and in the middle and looks like a small black dot. Use google for a little more detail on what it looks like and what to look for!

    When you had this issue, did the wipers turn off when you took the key out of the ignition or did they continue to run for a few minutes?

    • @daddoesitALL
      @daddoesitALL  Před 2 měsíci

      if I remember correctly they would turn off if I took key out.

    My baby momma has a 16 explorer doing this same thing. Just replaced the entire switch just like you did and they still won’t turn off

    • @daddoesitALL
      @daddoesitALL  Před 4 měsíci

      everything else works after you replaced it? unfortunately sounds like there was some other issue with this one

    • @justa3v619
      @justa3v619 Před 4 měsíci

      @@daddoesitALL yea pretty sure it’s the wiper motor itself. After looking into it more the motor has a park switch in it. Which tells the wipers where to park/stop and that has went out

    Online is a crap shoot. The wiper relay is actually number 1 suspect, the wiring over the steering column is number 2, and last is this switch. Been doing this a long time. Glad it worked for you but u can't or shouldn't say on video that 99% of the time, this is the prob bc its simply not true, especially on the exploders 😅, on those the number 1 suspect is actually the wiring that goes over the column as it moves with steering, tilting and even the turn signal wires rub it on rare occasions

    • @daddoesitALL
      @daddoesitALL  Před 2 měsíci

      the video has 97% likes vs 3% dislikes so I’ll change it to 97% of the time 😂. Either way it’s worth a try for a $35 part to see if it fixes someone’s issue.
      Plus if I can’t trust online, how do I know to trust you? 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Well shit this didn't help at all. Lol
    NOT BECAUSE OF THE VIDEO BTW.
    It's happening on a rental.
    Guess they'll have to get me another.
    I may sound crazy but, seems like they should maybe check this garbage before renting these vehicles to folks.😂
