I tried the internet's hardest fitness challenge. 75 Hard has recently blown up in popularity from its insane body transformations as well as developing mental discipline, determination and grittiness. 75 Hard is more than just a fitness challenge, and has impacted my life far beyond just the 75 days that I was in the challenge. Hope you guys like it!
Have a great week guys! Cheers. - Zábava
Great video! It's interesting how little is mentioned about hormones, especially testosterone, which is crucial for building muscles. For natural exercisers, the book 'You Are Stronger Than You Think' by Borlest has some useful insights on testosterone that could be helpful.
I'll have to check out that book!
I completed 75 Hard March 17, 2023. I was fired on January 18, 2023. I still completed the challenge because it was the only thing I could control during that time.
How is it looking for you now? Are things getting better?
"The old me would have quit by now"
What a powerful sentence, real life poetry.
Are you a child?
Nah it’s super cringe
It's also rubbish. As someone subbed and who's been watching these guys for over a year, they're so disingenuous. They've apparently been training to like the level of elite athletes since the channels inception. Every video is a transformation from 35%bf slob to 20% bf motivated and changed man. The videos are good for an overview of a program, but the channel as a whole is just bs to push affiliate links and get views.
It's a powerful sentence yes... to an 8-year-old.
for those wondering:
2.51 ng/ml = 250 ng/dl
7.69 ng/ml = 769.5 ng/dl
HUGE
Well done. I'll bet it was cool seeing your own work in the book you were reading. I love the "old me would have quit" line, then continuing. Well done.
Thank you so much!! Super cool to read that for sure!
I don't know if you'll belive me....
I'm on my 7th day of 75 hard.. I just thought to myself - I wonder if that jump rope skipping dude tried this program (sorry for not knowing your name).... went on my youtube and there it was ... freshly uploded video .. 38 minutes ago ...
I paused to write this comment, so happy to watch this video now.. hope it went well...
edit: Congratulations !! So happy for you !! Really hope it sticks !
Wondering if you're considering doing the whole year of Live Hard program ?
Good luck with your challenge!
@@FlorinPop Thank you very much !
Goodluck!
Wohhh!!! Good luck!! Haven’t considered the live hard, but have been continuing with strength training and cardio training since the challenge ended!
Congrats Cam! Well done overcoming this challenge!
I love that each of your videos has at least one moment that makes me LOL .... this time it was the music going with the junk food temptation on the TV 😂
We loved this challenge! So glad Reveri was able to help along the way!
I just finished 75 hard yesterday, dropped from 250 to 220 and lost about 10% body fat which was nice but I gained an insane amount of discipline and self control.
Dang!!! Congrats!
Congratulations! What an accomplishment and such astounding results. Also, what a great reading list!!
I love when we get to see how the challenges and books, really all the creators out there improving the world and playing off of each other, grats on being in the book!
Dude this is so sick! I've been watching y'all forever, and it is super motivating to see what you have accomplished. Congrats again man!
Thank you!!
Truly inspirational. Kudos to you!
Awesome! Also, love that you’re repping Vancouver! 💪
Congrats !!! You are amazing
Miss your content so much!!!
At first I thought, oh no he's been slacking off and now he's going all out again. But nice to see you found a better balance with the harder stuff. Still I hope you find a form of exercise you truly enjoy in the long run and won't have these constant ups and downs.
It highlights the real trick to achieving almost anything ...consistency. You don't need a fad diet, or anything extreme, you just need to keep showing up.
Now what happens after these 75 days are finished? It wasn't sustainable forever, so on to find the next thing.
I'm not sure it does- this is itself a fad, and another thing people stick to for a bit then drop. The top of this comment has a better view- it's finding something you enjoy. I've not met anyone in life who stays fit and active and healthy just by forcing it- they find something they enjoy, and the rest kind of falls into place as it becomes important to you.
Unfortunately based on this video it doesn't seem like the lesson has been learned. Don't get me wrong, he's done an amazing job and I certaintly wouldn't be able to stick to 75 hard. But that's kinda the point. The idea that you have to 'push' through something you find terrible and that it's somehow a success is misguided imo. Finding sustainable habits and gradually changing your lifestyle over time is what makes the biggest difference in the long run.
Man, congratulations!!! Congrats my friend!! That’s one of the hardest things one can do, and that quote.. “my old self” man that hitted hard..
Again well done my friend, well done
Thank you!!!
Congrats! I finished 75 Hard on April 27, 2024! It remains the best thing I've done for myself in a long time.
Good shit! What’s the next part?!
“Feelings good” about working out in crappy weather is what we in my line of work call “Type 2 Fun”.
Even on your worst day show up.
I loved this video!
Congratulations Cam!
Well done mate. Looking good. Keep it up. Training is like getting a sun tan. Little and often. Don’t go too hard or you’ll get burnt.
Congratulations! This video was perfectly timed. I'm currently on Day 6 of my second round of 75 Hard, I needed this motivation, Thank You!
Ayyy! You’ve got this!!!
I love your videos dude.
Props to you man!
Super proud of you
The narrative structure of these videos is so effective! Great story telling as always! I’d be interested to see this style adapted to a live presentation
Awesome job!!!😊
Great video. Thought the cinematography was a real step up from previous videos.
Thanks!!
New Goal Guys!!!!!
Fyi, to break through the "wall" that you came across toward the end of the challenge what you have to do is take an entire week off, where you just do very light stuff. This is normal and it's why mesocycles exist. It's because over time too much cumulative fatigue builds up and then you have to "reset" it and thats called a deload week. Dr. Mike Isratel has some amazing content on YT about all of that stuff.
Nice! And that must have been quite the surprise to realize he was talking about you in that book ;)
Oh I freaked out lol
12 days in over here. Congrats on getting through!!
Ayyy, good luck with it!!
My girlfriend broke up with me last week i’m glad you came when I needed you guys the most!!
"my" gf ? wtf. then, blah blah blah. another weak and too needy male. be happy for your ex. smart girl.
It's really nice to see somebody finish🎉
Hell yea
Amazing work
Good for you man! 👨🏻 💪
Amazing video!
Great motivation 😃❤️
The story, editing, tempo, payoff. This video was perfect.
Thanks mate!
"I'm in this book" holy moly that must've been motivating!!
Such an insane experience lol
Thats so cool. Congratz!!
Thank you!
Wow. Was great to see shoutout to our Dr Greg Doucette
Bro this video is so well made and creatively edited, the story is amazing and the way he weaves it in is amazing
Thank you so much mate!
0615 alarm? Must be nice to have a lie-in! 😉
just one remark 75hard is composed of 4(actually 5 phases). prephase is the one you are doing in the video which is prerequsite to start phase one. after phase 1 you have than phase 2,3 and 4 and the whole challange takes 1 year :)
this man is given as an example in books, he must be on a good trajectory, keep going random dude :)
Coach Greg featuring harder than last time!! Lol
"The old me would have quit by now" damn :)
Damn. I couldn’t finish on like the first few days because the water requirement was way too much lol.
I started this challenge and failed it on day 7. Fell asleep with one workout to go. Crushed
Well done!!!🎉
Thank you!!
Uncut 💫
man i thought you and your bro were gonna train for an ironman and got so hyped--please do one! show us how its done!
Maybe one day!! That would be amazing
Awesome video
I love your videos.
metric vs old school 😅 3:04
I have completed 75 Hard twice, plus Phase 1 and 2. If you read the book, Andy Frisella will tell you this isn't a fitness challenge, it's a self discipline challenge. Good on you for doing it, I enjoy it when I do it. It just makes my whole lifestyle better.
Dang, good on ya mate! 75 Hard is no small feat!
Holy Crap. I ALSO got my DEXA scan done at the same place. I was amazed to find out I was 24% despite being “skinny”. I’m currently on a bulking diet ATM. 24 was after my cut
I got my first Dexa scan back when I was running long distance. Weighed like 135 pounds, skinniest I’ve ever been, and the dexa said I was 24% bodyfat lol. So even though I was skinny and visibly very lean, I had a low amount of muscle. Super interesting stuff though! Good luck with the bulking!
I completed 75 Hard early last year, and I loved the level of discipline I had to persevere even when life got busy, or I was tired.
At one point I had a foot infection so had to get creative with my workouts.
I also loved collecting nutrition data and being able to actively tweak what I was eating for different times and different training for different times of my cycle.
It sounds like such a cliche, and I lost heaps of weight, but the mental benefits were the real winner for me. I'll definitely do it again.
Also I LOVED that you were in the book! Such a great discovery!
The mental benefits are pretty wild!!
Congratulations on your results!
It's really great to have self discipline but forcing yourself to do 2 trainings a day on several nights of only 4-6 hours sleep might be contraproductive and even unhealthy. I know the program doesn't let you quit or skip a day but it's important to listen to your body as well. If you're miserable and your trainings get worse, it's time for a rest day or two. The sleeping problems could also be because of the intensity of your training, lack of rest and high cortisol. (And getting back into a routine after taking a break really tests your discipline)
12:53 downloading just to listen to this 😂
Seeing a lot of negativity in this comment section. Just want to say absolute incredible video, got me motivate to give it a go and what an incredible result! Massive difference between the two pics and hopeyou continue the trend 💪
Even more amazing is it shows building muscle and losing fat at the same time is possible. The bodybuilding community says you can’t do both. This video is the first time we actually get to see a concrete example of this
Thanks so much!!
The camera roll part is entirely too accurate, felt the exact same lol
😂
Legend
Let's gooooo! 🤟😆😆😆
11:21 - Need more carbs. Carbs generate serotonin, a precursor to melatonin. This is why carnivore and keto is foolish. Less carbs = poor sleep = poor recovery and reliant on stimulants
this is an interesting challenge.
Omg Jeremy!!
Holy shit, I was expecting your T to plummet from the intensity. Amazing results.
He got on TRT. I wish he would just say that.
Thank you!!
hey man! i know this is a weird thought but did u shave your chest hair when you took the first photo? Because if u didn't u can visually see the increase in testosterone as shown by the growth of body/chest hair.
I'm 22 and my father never had hair on his body, i rarely have any hair grow on my face and armpits too... But i'm pretty strong and driven for my age, i've been working out consistently for 2 years straught and i've been working as a food delivery guy (i deliver orders with a normal bycicle)... Doing around 100-150km of biking almost every day that i work (sometimes i go full week, other times just 4-5 days, depending how work goes)...
So i'm inclined to say body hair is a stupid way to judge testosterone, but that's my take on it... Maybe it's just the genetics i got from my dad that makes me a hairless man (my hair is pretty rich and healthy though, i'm a dark-blonde guy)...
Is there any clear study that proves body hair is directly linked to testosterone levels? Ty
I'd fail before even starting lmao
Did you cook that chicken with warm regards?
Good Job sir *applause*
As a father of 3 Kids I had to smile at the 4-6 Hour sleep thing 😅
lol!
How about if you do the challenge but prioritize your health over everything else. You did well in the beginning when you took Greg's advice to lower intensity to avoid burnout. You should have done it again when you weren't sleeping towards the end.
"A Bad workout is better than no workout."
faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaax machines.
The testosterone thing was likely more due to a shift in hormone spike timing due to behavioral changes pushing adaptation.
Day 26 of 75 Hard, just finished my outdoor workout opened YT for motivational stuff and found this 😅
Yo!!! That’s awesome!
@@GoalGuys Thanks for the video I will complete 75 days and update here
Fantastic results, im in! What part of this made your testosterone triple?
Damn Macdonalds
Feels like the only social pressure + commitments would make this hard
Yeah, which is also called normal life for most.
I’m doing this now. But 75 medium which is one 45min workout, not two. Everything else is the same
Good luck with it!
90 minutes everyday feels like way too much per day and for 75 days with no breaks?
better than nothing.
sure better than quitting/taking a break every chance you get to.
what I think we can agree to is the idea of making it work
The intensity is what determines "too much", For example you could do 45 min of lifting and then 30 min jog + 15 min of mobility and calisthenics outside everyday and be fine.
Yep
The 3 variables of volume, intensity and frequency have to be in balance. If volume and frequency is high, intensity needs to go down.
Try being a triathlete... 2 workouts a day but 365
Cam your beautiful hair! Now you look more like your brother. How old are you guys?
I’m 31! Gonna grow my hair back out though lol
"3 pull ups to 4, that might not seem like much but thats progress"
ummmm bro thats a 30% increased in strength, aka a crap ton of increase
You look great
Thank you!
Cam's 5'10"?
Yep!
9 months ago you did a testosterone vid. Guess those results didn’t stick? Or was that the same beginning bloodwork?
I had tested again after the testosterone video in august of 2023 and had dropped back down to near where I started which was discouraging. It also might be worth noting that I changed methods of testing going from a finger prick mail in blood test at the start of the challenge to actual getting blood drawn by a medical professional at the end. I’m wondering whether that was part of the difference at all, but if anything the second method is likely the more accurate one, so I’m stoked lol.
@@GoalGuys interesting! Great job!
Guys, research Mike Mentzer! And train like him! Perform slow eccentric and only perform 1 working set per exercise! Only work out 3 times a week. This has made a huge improvement to my physic.
That type of training has been debunked.
@@Ryan1985vsup no it has not
Does he have a partner, I feel like that adds another layer to care for another person too
I love you
❤️
75 hard just wasn't for me. I already do most of it, but the extra arbitrary stuff like daily progress pics and posting on social to promote the program is just ... weird. Author admits there's little science behind it. Maybe it's good for couch potatoes, and if it helps you, great.
I do put my friends on 30 day hide on facebook when they start a new round tho.
Stay Hard!
lol you look great bro: your voice even changed since the first testosterone video.
13:20 This is completely inaccurate if you want to improve. If you don't let your body first revocer and then compensate from the previous workout then you are wasting your time. You are over training when it comes to weight training.
You’re right! You definitely don’t want to overtrain. I do think there is value in showing up when you don’t feel like it, but obviously you’ve gotta find the right balance!
