I had an '83 with a 351 Windsor under the hood. Had it all done up with a stove and LP fridge, compost toilet, the whole nine yards. Some guy hit a patch of black ice one cold Ohio winter night and slammed into the side of it and bent it like a horseshoe. It still makes me wretch thinking about it.
It's nice you had one like that. Great model camper vans. I hear you. I wasn't there, but it would hurt my feelings and upset the same time, too. These are nostalgic. Hope you find another one down the road. I have to replace the rubbers (dried up) my exhaust broke behind the muffler, rusted out and many spots of rust so I'm planning to let a professional fix the rust and a new paint job and keep it as much original as it can be. Inside, I have to get ideas to build. See if in Alberta or British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 Van builders. I know in BC, through Vancity Van life. He has his own channel.
