UPDATE TO THE MORTAL KOMBAT REMAKE CONVERSATION IN THE INTRO: The movie remake is coming out April 16. An MMA fighter named Cole joins the usual cast of Kombatants in a secret tournament to the death where many of the Kompetitors have mystical superpowers. It's apparently gonna be gory to the standards of current Mortal Kombat games like 11 and it does the X-ray thing like what they started doing in Mortal Kombat 9.

I haven't seen the last Resident Evil movie either, and haven't been in a hurry to see it. But it's refreshing to hear DC say that they clean up a lot of the story line. I really look forward to seeing it now.
I hated not being able to see anything. There is a cut about every second of the movie and shaky cam. My eyes hurt after leaving the cinema lol

Ok Hollywood. You made a great R Rated Deadpool movie, a great R Rated Wolverine movie, let's try Mortal Kombat again.
The MK movie featured the most human running sentient machine ever in Cyrax.And just went did Sonya get a hair cut before Khan shows up at the end of the first movie??She just had a new hair style right the 2nd movie started,weird,huh??
To think, if Paul W.S. Anderson had continued directing the Mortal Kombat movies there might have been five or more sequels of that and maybe only one or two Resident Evil movies directed by someone else. He mentioned in an interview that one of the main reasons he continued to direct all the sequels to Resident Evil was because he really regretted choosing not to do the sequel to Mortal Kombat.

nop the movie was fantastic and i even watched it in theaters a second time also. and u guys keep saying it sucked but never saying how. imo but was awesome the story flowed perfectly just like in the games and the focused more on present day than in the past with the spanish cause thats where most of the ac story actually takes place. the games only spend so much time in the past because of gameplay reasons but the story has always been in the present and i can understand if the story might get confusing to a fan that does not know the ac story well but for me it hit every mark and is basically the best video game movie.
GamerTagShadow- Yeah no, the story was a disjointed mess that tried too hard to bring the game's story into the movie without knowing how to transform a game story from a player controlled experience to an auto playing 2 hour long movie it was fun during the action but they cut out of it too much to show us Michael Fassbender on the fucking stupid animus robo thing jumping around like a spaz not even the game pulled shit like this out because it was too stupid and would break the immersion of the player/viewer.I love the games but the movie was grossly underwhelming i was a expecting at least an easy to understand premise instead we got a out of control convoluted mess of a story that you need to watch more than once to understand if you don't have huge amounts of knowledge from the games and i really don't feel that movies should be that way, movies are supposed to be stand alone stories that can be watched and understood at least on the basic premise with only one viewing and without needing prior knowledge of the material.In all honesty this movie doesn't deserve any praise and should be shunned for the mess that it is.
+Brian Rodriguez assassins creed only became a player controlled exprience at 4, from assassins creed 1 to 3 it was focused on the story of desmond and guess what he was lying down in an animus and allot of it was even shown and besides that is on of the main things abt the AC story which the bleeding effect which works through muscle memory which is why the animus used in the movie moves around it is meant to force the bleeding effect onto a subject and teh one in the movie is an upgraded version of the first animus abstergo created. now assassins creed has never been an easy to understand story so it would make sense to not try and force it and make it easy in the move. also movies are supposed to be standalone but video game movies are not since they are targeted at the players of the games not non players for eg look at warcraft it tried to be standalone and target to non players but just became highly confusing. i applaud teh AC movie for aiming at its players who understand the story rather than try and create a standalone story since there are like 9 AC games someone wants to know story go and play one.

I don't know why but when I watched this movie growing up I always wanted the Asian guy who played Lou kane (Im sure I spelled that wrong) to play goku for a live action movie. Mostly because he had a lot of hair and that was required for goku going super sayian.

The first MK movie was awesome and kept as much of the games story as they could without totally fucking it up. And somehow having a bigger budget made for a shitty sequel. :-/
