@@MoonwalkerMilo2009 it wasn’t the last time. They rehearsed this song again where MJ had the white shirt and there was a backdrop in the screen behind. But no footage has been released from that.

That’s Judith hill. She has sung with prince and many others after singing with mj. She was also a contestant on the voice. And yes mj says many times in the this is it documentary that he is conserving his voice for opening night.
