Bracy has got to be one of the most underrated under appreciated sprinters of all time
Although Bromell's season didn't result in an Olympic medal I am still in awe of his performance this year. No competition for close to 5 years and career-ending injuries. Nothing to be shamed of at all.
Yea, I think Bromell's recovery was amazing and then he peaked too quickly because he didn't have the lead up like normal. I hope he's in top form next Olympics (good thing they're short turn around) and get's a medal I think he deserves.

I was just about to say the same thing. Trayvon needs more 200s he also needs to change his start. He tends to drag his feet, he also wastes time by taking way too big of a stride the first 10 steps of his race. I bet that’s to compensate for his height but that seems to make power he should have at his starts look restricted.

I have a suspicion that Bromell has a tendency to peak too early. The same usually happened when he competed as a junior - it's a shame, because he's clearly fast enough to be a top contender.

Trayvon took 7 steps to get to that first white line, Bracy took 8. Ive been feeling this way about Trayvon’s start… it’s way too stretched out off of the blocks. I think he is putting too much energy in the beginning to cover distance (maybe to compensate for his height/stride) that his transition out of the blocks looks like his feet is getting caught up. He needs to get more contact on the ground in the beginning. I also think he needs more 200m work. He burns out. He doesn’t have that 4th gear. I’m rooting for him. I’m happy he is staying injury free and that’s a blessing!!!

A good 10m is around 7.5-8 steps... Dunno about expending too much energy at the start. He hasn't been in a good form lately and don't think it's because of that first 10.
im not a pro or a coach but i dont think his energetic start is whats putting him at a disadvantage, it should probably be the point where he gains the most ground and he does actually. he maintains his speed quite well for having such a start and quick turnover. im pretty sure his training and meets have just not been working in harmony for him recently

I suspect his finish is his trouble, not his start. I think he definitely needs to hold on to his top end speed longer. Working on a longer sprint could help.

Adegoke should switch to Rugby or American football. He seems too big to be consistently faster than low 10 second range. Maybe he could be the next Christian Okoye.
He ain't big enough to play football and football speed is a whole different thing. You have to be able to change directions at full speed, stop and start and reach full speed in a minimum of steps. Totally different thing and if he's doing this on a track I wouldn't be optimistic about his football speed. He'd be better off trying gymnastics.

Agree! Set position wasn't long enough. Also the way he shouted "Set!!" was too alarming...they don't usually holler like that. Usually it's said very quietly out of respect for the runners need for concentration. Super unprofessional imo.

The problem I have with Bromell is how different he looks running at his best in comparison to what he is showcasing now. He is literally running like someone who endured a injury recently and is making a comeback. I watched Bromell run a few races before the Olympic trials and he was absolutely on fire. How do you peak only to fall so hard? I don't think I have ever seen another sprinter besides Sha'carri RIchardson just fall off so bad. They must be drinking from the same water fountain.

@@mol-charles3616 I really can't tell. Sprinting is sometimes a bewildering endeavour. It is at one at the same time the easiest of things and the most complex and difficult of things. Maybe Trayvon just lost an ounce of the simplicity I have in mind. But he is the only one who can find back to that feeling where everything just works as a clock. It is as I see it an "inner thing". Very hard to explain. But you just know when you're THERE.
