Do you make notes while reading a book?
Can you please make a counciling video for start reading books
What do you think about an app like StoryShots? www.getstoryshots.com?
Summary:
1. Donât over achieve. Start low: 1 page/day minimum.
2. Read before internet dopamine fix.
3. Habit bunching, read with your morning coffee.
4. Try audiobooks. (Even while working out... habit bunching).
5. Change your attitude, self identify as a reader.

As a daily reader, I approve of this video. I started out small, and now read around 100 pages a day. In the past, reading was boring to me, now I canât wait until itâs that time of the day to read!
try to read when you have 20 times more testosterone than the average guy. girls can sit easily... cause no hormones ask them to go hunt for a female. tell me how much you read on your ovulation day, boys don't have that.. they have it every day. it's in our DNA

"It's Like Binge Eating Skittles Before Drinking A Fine Wine" = Dynamite Line!
Tom Bell The Mad Scientist Marketer thanks Tom Bell The Mad Scientist Marketer!
@AncientAstronautTheorist I'm six months late but I'll answer anyway. After eating skittles, you'll hate the taste of wine, thus preventing you from drinking it and getting drunk.

Thank you very much! a little and useful summary for anyone
1.Don't overachieve -> one page a day and then another one, and another one.....
2. Read before going to the internet
3. Bunch your habits -> think strategically how you can add books to your daily activity
4. Try audiobooks
5. Change your attitude
Hi mom!
tip number 6: stay away from summaries and people who actually try to give them. Each person should experience themselves by spending their own time in order to achieve something for their lives.

Does anyone know the song that starts somewhere in 13 seconds of the vid, it sounds beautiful and I canât find it?
I used to hate reading but I found that if you start with smaller books (100 page ish books) and slowly work bigger it kinda gets easier. Also, if you are like me and can't sit still for 2 minutes to read a page or accidentally fall asleep when reading anything, that's okay. Just keep trying again and again and again and again. You'll slowly build your focus and even if you don't at least you'll get the much needed sleep you need :)
In college I'd read while walking on the treadmill slowly (getting PE credit lol), or on the stationary bike :) somehow it helped me feel I was multitasking and focusing all the while
Don't just read the books, write down 4 things: 1. Characters names as they are mentioned with their roles. 2. Unknown words to you and search the meanning. 3. Any interesting or revolutionary idea to you personally. 4. A small resume of each page mentioning the most basic things that happened on that page or chapter. Reading just by reading is not learning, we need to self educate ourselves when reading a book because 10 years from now you will forget almost everything of that book, but if you write these 4 points you can read in a few minutes the main things of the book and remember most of it... yea now just reading sounds easier.
czcams.com/video/AmMiYAZ9WLU/video.html
But I won't know where did I wrote it?
so helpful
i agree but i already have school as a cs major so iâd rather just indulge in my books without thinking of reading with this approach
Yeah as he said, start small, a page a day. If you donât like reading doing this everyone will make you never read again. This is mostly advice for people who read regularly
I had a book for three weeks tried to read every day
I got to page 2
@ă·ăXSMXă page 6.5
lmao same, that's why reading 1page a day is a great and effective idea. It seems like uneffictive, but it keeps you going, builds your new habit and once you have the momentum you will want to read more anyway
I would read if I was home alone like i would read an actual book that I've only been able to get to page 15 bc I have to take care of my siblings and I don't like people looking at me while reading ;-;
So I just read a on this app called webtoon an this other one called wattpad
Lol
Thatâs just me with Manga books, I can get through some pages but then after that I just start zoning out lol
Nice tips đ I specially like the idea of habit bunching and dedicating myself to reading one page a day!

One thing that helped(s) me with wanting to read, a tip from a non-reader I know đ, is to read books that movies were based off of. I had watched The Hitchhiker Guide To the Galaxy, with Martin Freeman in it, and, sometime around I decided to listen to an audiobook of it from a great youtube channel called Now Read This. His voice definitely fits the writing style perfectly and the characters come to life from his narration. I really enjoyed that book!
When I read my brain just suddenly decides to remember that thing that happened in the past that I don't wanna remember
czcams.com/video/TCSUKIhjevo/video.html
Lmao
That's true
Extremely helpful video! Thank you! I donât hate reading but what I hate is all of my failed attempts at holding my attention long enough to read and stay there reading. I love the small goal and bunching, I believe this will help me to get back into the swing of reading. Thanks again!
You are a great presenter, casual with no overcompensation, yet still charismatic. Very easy to watch, well done.
Holy shit that intro is so me. I find all these books that I want to read, but when I come to sit down- I can barely keep focus and follow through. It's taken me around 2 weeks to read 100 pages due to the lack of consistency. Then i end up feeling bad thinking that I'm just not cut out. I see people that can get lost in books and read lots and I'm just so envious of that, I really want to get to that stage.
It's not all sunshine. Most people who read a lot get glasses rather sooner than later. Those who don't, have better eyesight for a longer time. Eyes are not made for reading lots of information. Also, most people who "read a lot" read low level literature, keep that in mind.
lmao ur name is so annoying
czcams.com/video/TCSUKIhjevo/video.html
Love tip number 3, actually I also discuss it in my latest video. Also, I actually stopped reading and only listen to audio books. It's great way to compensate for a busy traveler's schedule and I can do it "on the go" even while driving. Thanks for the tips and keep up the good quality!

Thank you for posting this! My issue is not that I don't like reading but rather that I can't concentrate and retain the information. This makes me overwhelmed before I even start reading. I start reading and all of a sudden, I'm thinking about the clothes I left in the dryer. This even happens with audiobooks.
So accurate, thank you for sharing. The reading in the morning really helps me a lot.
I like reading but struggle to stay motivated to finish a book so ill read like twenty pages then give up and start a new book.
Saaammmeee I have like four manga books I havenât finished and I just got a new book that I started to try to read the other day hahaha
get one book at a time
I finally see it. I see why people love reading. More you read more you get into that zone. When you're into that zone it's like the current world doesn't exist and you're in a setting of that book. That's the stage daily book readers reach.
LOVE this video!!! Finally I feel I belong in the world of reading. Huge thanks!
thank you. awesome tips. they're deeper than they seem. lots of relevance between dopamine and goal achieving mechanism, linking neurons, building stronger habits, eliminating procrastination etc. keep up the good work. subbed!.
As a person who struggles with focus even with books with subjects im into, heres a tip: Reread. When I have trouble comprehending a long drawn out sentence or paragraph, I read it multiple times and ways. Sometimes with and then without parathesis. Reread till you perceive.
Thank you for this video! You just described my reluctance towards reading. I'll try these tips from now on.
Glad you enjoyed!
I think these tips will actually help me get into more of a groove to develop a reading habit. Thank you for the advice.
I'm doing a communication course at University and I find it hard to pick up a book and enjoy. So, tonight I was looking for some motivation and I discovered this. You're the best, thank you.
Useful video.Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
i made it a habit more than 4 years ago of at least reading a couple of pages each in English, French , German , Maltese and the bible. it is really enjoyable if you do it in a relaxed way as a workout without stress, without haste, without over emphasizing on vocabulary searching . it helps me calm down. last year i finished reading 3 novels in French, 1 in Italian, 1 in German and a couple of books in english and maltese , just by being consistent in reading a few pages from each language a day. do not waste too much time on vocabulary searching , you will meet words you do not understand the more you read.
This is one of the best and most realistic videos Iâve seen on improving my reading skills. Thank you. â€
Thanks for this important discussion of how to include reading in your life in a realistic way
I found that reading a very simple, easy to read book helps because you don't need to focus that hard. It helps you learn to enjoy reading because you find it easier to follow and pay attention. Then move on to more complex books.
Thank you u helped me so much
Glad I could help!

I read like a maniac for more than a dozen years than I stopped.
Now I canât put my mind into reading a whole page.
These tips look interesting and easily applicable. Thank you.
Why did you stop ?
Something else to include:
The most important tip I ever got to becoming a better reader.... was literally to just sit down and FORCE yourself to read. And to do this for HOURS upon DAYS. To do this without speeding through it and just trying your best to comprehend it, even if you're SUPER SUPER SUPER ADHD and cannot concentrate or focus at all. Eventually you will get to this weird point, in my experience, where you understand it, and then suddenly you enjoy reading? It's strange.
Liked this vid a lot! I'm not a huge fan of reading, but I've been kind of forcing myself into it for a while now and despite this my liking for books haven't changed as much as I would like. So these tips might help me!

I would honestly like to know more about you, faith. Your story sounds interesting.
I had some learning problems too in high-school People had to repeat themselves cause I couldn't understand what they were saying. But hey its never too late to learn anything. It's hard but you have to push yourself. I thought I would never finish high-school and even many thought as well but I pushed through it, analysed every single word even searched the meaning up in the Internet. By the end of 2019 I graduated and passed all my subjects with b's and A's. Don't worry kiddo you'll get there, just take ur time reading. Even have people next to you to help its no biggie and it's worth it. don't worry about what the other kids ethier say cause there not gonna help. I use to got teased alot for having a assistant teacher around with me even when I was in the final year of school, but I still kept my head down and worked hard. I even made friends with those teachers that helped and gave me alot life tips and advises. Now I'm reading my 30th book julius ceasers commentary on the gallic wars. Pretty wierd how I got here but I'm proud of what I did to reach this. Its all about ur mindset, just got to be positive all the time, if you doubt alot don't because doubt kills.
