  • Steven Peterman is the director and co-founder of Art House Co-op, an independent Brooklyn-based company that organizes global, collaborative art projects for a worldwide collective of 60,000 people. Their flagship program, The Sketchbook Project, encourages creative people from all walks of life to fill a sketchbook and return it to Art House, where it joins a traveling art-library exhibit featuring more than 18,000 books submitted from 130 countries.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
