So do you play Forza? Come friend TheSquidd, DubWrench, and IdealCars130! 💥
I remember as a 15 year old when i got my first sim it was a G920 and my shoe size was 12 so i had problem doing heel and toe and most shoes where to wide.
Are you going to have a gaming channel
Flex??for Sf1000 Ferrari add on??
gotta mention that you said sceptre as "skeptray" when its prounouced as "septar'
Says it's $299 on Amazon
I actually own this exact setup and it’s amazing
Lets goOo!
I literally am looking for a sim setup right now. Then this video pops up. I'm definitely interested.
@@ZachKearns66 can you send me the link and will it fit this sim bracket seat thing?
What game do you use it for? I will be using it for iracing
Same i love it
The pedals are actually not pressure sensitive, they are potentiometers (precision angle position sensors). The only upgrade you need to this set up is a V3 brake load cell from Ricmotech. Which will if fact make the brake pedal actually pressure sensitive. It'll give you way more consistency around any track.
The chair rig prbly cant handle load cell brake.
I mean… a potentiometer paired with a spring is literally all you need for pressure sensitivity, it just might not feel real.
Take out the black piece inside the spring and it will make it a lot softer.
@@johnl2613 it 100% can handle a load cell and much more
IT IS A RIPOFF!!! FAILS AFTER WARRANTY!!!!
Heads up for the cockpit, It does have a weight limit of around 290 lbs or roughly 130kg, so if you're on the bigger end, you may want to look for something more heavy duty, or cut down on the weight if you can.
There goes 80% of the American market.
@@skr4207 Lol😂😂😂
Driver mod needed
I know a lot of people will laugh but it’s a good PSA
Guess it wasn't made for the American market
The big strap goes along the bottom to add some stability and limit flex while driving.
People with fanatec setups laughing when hi set high quality pedals
10:00 I can tell he hasn’t used it yet because it’s upside down at this point. Revers is actually the other way. It mounts from the bottom with clamps facing away from you like clamping the edge of a table you are sitting at.
Haha ya, and it didn’t take 5 seconds to setup. When the video first started, it was daytime, then when it was setup, it was evening/night.
Thats the joke
In Logitech g hub you could just rebind the gears to be flipped around your reverse would just be kinda weird in 1st
Just a heads up, a load cell pedal set might be overkill for this and cause the rig to rise due to the resistance. Also, I had to drill an extra hole to mount my fanatec wheel base closer. It's easy to do but is still worth noting.
Overall, I really like the seat. It's a bit uncomfortable, but it's miles better than my last wheel stand. I can also mount an e brake and shifter on the shifter mount, so it's perfect for my setup.
You mounted a fanatec to a gt-lite? i snapped by kitchen worktop desk with my dd so i really wouldn't recommend using it on there
man that fanatec is too much rig for that frame, you gotta upgrade your frame at some point but I get you, you want to race while you wait for a better frame.
@@gypsyslayer4224 what, reasonably cheap(?), cockpit would u recommend for a CSL DD?
I just ordered one and i'm planning to mount on my desk, which is an office desk so it's pretty sturdy but i'd still like to try a cockpit at some point in the future.
@@falcaoEUW Honestly I'm not sure. I haven't been looking at any for a while as I'm nowhere near being able to afford one atm
@@samuellp1146 a csl elite isn't too much for that rig, I had one on it, with loadcell pedals (t-lcm) and both of those were fine, it's the shifter mount that was the problem for me, I had to modify it heavily to both be in the right position, and to stop it flexing.... (This is all in GT position) this rig is good for what it is, but if you use manual (and especially handbrake) it's not that great
You get a steering wheel and racing seat to simulate a driving cockpit, then you put the camera into 3rd person mode? NOT COCKPIT MODE?!
Are you actually a fan of driving games?
He can do whatever he wants
Gotta agree there kinda a pet peev for me
Agree. Thought this the moment he had the game on. Hoped at first it was just to show us the cars but nope, he stuck with that. Big sigh 😓
I wanted a circuit race. Homie hit us with a 1/4 mile, maybe
I just got this rig, it’s great. But I have a Thrustmaster TMX, which required zip ties to keep it in place, as you can’t hard mount it. The desk clamp wasn’t strong enough so zip ties were the answer.
Definitely worth experimenting with the adjustable front leg and the wheel reach/angle.
Also, I rotated my Thrustmaster shifter a few degrees, so the gate is parallel to my forearm. Now I don’t miss a shift.
@6:56 this is why I love your content 🤣 educational, fun, interesting, greatly put together video. I have a similar set up and man that steering wheel is good. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone looking for a “REAL” feeling experience of racing.
Feels like a paid promotion
I was looking to buy a racing sim for myself and this really helped me
Your shifter was upsite down cuz the Revers is on the 6 gear by presing down the shifter not on the first gear
I have a boring stressful job sometimes. So after work I love playing games especially simulators. Im gonna get this and play American Truck Sim with this. I know that's a weird game to play but it's so relaxing to after work to just drive and deliver stuff. I look forward to it sometimes at work 😂 This setup is gonna have me IMMERSED.
How did it go? I just got ATS and ETS2 and have been playing with a desktop setup.
Hell yeah brother, I’m waiting for that prostitution update to truck simulator I want to simulate being a serial killer
Bro just get a CDL and be happy with your job
I found that using the spare strap to strap the right hand side of the wheel deck frame to the bottom of the front "legs" makes it a hell of a lot stiffer. Also, I never bothered bolting the pedal deck, just sat the rig and pedal deck in one half of the plastic fitting, the weight kept it in (I was using loadcell pedals) which made it a bit more moveable as a whole, because lets face it, it doesn't fold that well in practice (I'd pull it out of the way and leave the pedals in place) it's the shifter mount that lets this rig down imo, it took heavy modification to both get the shifter in the right position and not move about (although I did have the fanatec shifter and handbrake bolted to the side, however the handbrake ended up sitting on part of the frame which actually stopped flex in one direction) edit- I did also remove the end upright section of the pedal deck so the plastics fittings where on the ground, as I preferred the position, so that might have had an effect on the pedal deck not needing to be bolted
Thanks for doing me a solid, bro. Without you I'd have nobody to sell my old g920 to since the direct drive wheels have gotten so much cheaper. Your 600 dollar budget would have absorbed the fanatec csl dd 5nm for 350 and some csl loadcell pedals for 200. A far more worthwhile enjoyable setup you wont have to upgrade from 1 year later. You made people want to buy the worse stuff so I appreciate you. Maybe now the csl dd will stop being unobtainium.
but then you would have to buy a wheel to attach to the fanatec csl dd 5nm and also a shifter and also the rig so I don't think it would be in the 600$ range
I'm new to sim racing, i have heard that sturdier rigs are better cuz nothing moves around from the force feedback, but isnt it more realistic and immersive to feel the vibrations and movement of the wheel through the seat? Sorry if the question is dumb xd
the most immersive and realistic part about this is the whole thing falling apart when you hit a wall!
Sim racer Crash physics simulator.
Experience realistic injuries and realistic near-death experiences.
Will hit you in the same places you would be hit if you were actually in the car crash.
The guy that made this video might be new to sim too.. 14:16.
Its actually pretty sturdy as long as you dont steer like a caveman.
Do you drive a bunch pvc pipes? What car feels wobbly??
Thank you for sharing this all with us... much appreciated .. although I am a flight sim guy....lol I have an old original Microsoft wheel and pedals metal ones still holds it's own force feedback... but don't use it that much now days... thanks again for taking the time to do all this...

Thanks for this video. This will be my Christmas gift to myself. I've very excited.
Feel like I’m watching a kids program
I bought the Logitech with a wheel stand pro to play Rally sims on the console. Come to find out you cannot connect a handbrake on console, only on PC via USB. Costly lesson learned so anyone who is into Rally racing keep that in mind
Thank you so much, definitely getting this set up
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
heres a little tip brad
i bought this exact same rig a week ago and i've noticed that placing the pedals horizontally flat on the ground is way better than having them on the other side
I mean i'm 5'9
what about you?

how do you think this would work for someone that’s 6 foot 😭😭 wondering cuz i don’t want to spend $600 and then have to return the thing
@@toolie3671 it's adjustable so you can put the pedals further back
I have basically this exact setup but the playstation version; minus the h pattern shifter. I would probably recommend going with the Thrustmaster T248 over the G29, mainly for the brake pedal, but they are both decent. Hoping to upgrade to a direct drive setup in the near future!
direct drive?
What gaming set up are you using ? xBOx or PC? I’ll be buying a new console so looking for recommendation. Forsa horizon is not on PS5 :(
I had the G29 and recently upgraded to a MOZA racing R9 and I would greatly reccomend saving up the money for the new R5 bundle that MOZA just dropped on their website. It is an amazing deal to get you double the NM (nuten meters) of torque and a great way to get your foot in the door on the direct drive systems :)
Bro should I get g29 for 200$ or t248 for 279$. First timer and not sure if I will like it
2:11 yes brad, that is a very nice box!
Great vid man! I need one of these. Also love the turbo mosaic picture on your wall👍
I went on Facebook marketplace and found a Logitech g29 wheel, pedal and shifter setup for 250$ with an aftermarket wheel. Bought a gt omega racing stand for 125$ on Amazon and I just use my gaming chair. Much comfier than this lawn chair looking thing. Oh I also got an Amazon handbrake for like 80$ been great on asseto corsa and Forza 5
Dude your gaming chair isn’t like a car. The whole point of this is to be a racing rig. You didn’t buy a racing rig, you just bought peripherals
Absolutely fantastic review! I got all the info I could hope for and laughed my ass off in the process, thank you! Yep, I subscribed! 😁
This is pretty cool. I might have to look at getting something like this at some point. Thanks for an awesome vid Ideal Cars!!!
Heck ya! Get one and we can play!
@@IdealMediaChannel I might be able to make that happen. No guarantees, though. I'd have to get my little brother in. He likes to game more than I do but I could use some practice so no harm in trying. What really sells me on the product is how discreet it is when folded. Thanks again for an awesome video!!!
I totally use one. My brother and I love this game and are both very passionate about cars. Id love to have one to get an edge over haha to bad it's hard to get sponsored
I have the same rig but I run a thrustmaster t300rs with the th8a 6 speed shifter it definitely is well money spent but after a few good hours of sim racing I find a cushion or memory foam pad to help the cushion otherwise love it
We have identical set ups. It's my first and I love it. Especially for the cost!
@@kennythemechanic9475 definitely is a great bang for your buck my 1st sim rig was a chair from the 70s two pieces of 2x4 and board across the top to mount the wheel to worked for 5 years but then I came across the one I got and never looked back
Now just that wheel is 300’
I'm just seeing this . . .I definitely just ordered the hole kit !!!! Can't wait to see yall !!!! And this vid was amazing !!!!
Entertaining. quality editing, fantastic knowledge! Excellent Brother!!!
If you don't mind having a non foldable set up you can build a better set up for the same price if not cheaper if you do some research... Love this set up the seats is just really uncomfortable to sit in
Yep. I had the same chair but with a Fanatec CSL and if I turned the FFB way up, the chair would shake. They have some steel frame setups that are super cheap. Now I have a tube frame and I found a free seat out of a Mazdaspeed 3 that I bolted up. Perfection for endurance races lol
@@keepsgoing4evr1 same I have a steel cage setup my whole setup looks almost professional and it only cost me $515 bucks
@@outdoorsoregonian9464 yep with a little patience getting a really solid nice rig is abso doable. Also I'm in Oregon as well haha.
If anyone is looking for a cheap setup for Racing on PC, get this exact same setup but use the G29 wheel instead. They’re very similar wheels but the g29 has RPM indicator lights & more features.
And it's cheaper than the Xbox version
That's a good priced bit of kit 👌
I bought a t300rs with t3pa pro pedals, th8a shifter, hydraulic handbrake and a next level racing gt ultimate for 600€ a couple of days ago! Just the cockpit costs 800€ new!
Theres actually a lite version of this for even cheaper basically the same set up but you're elevated and not sitting ground level i chose the light version because it sits eye level with my tv. So much fun though it did take like 2+ hours to set up. Getting my wheel and pedals positioned perfectly is what took the majority of time.
He has the lite version
@Dutch_Goat the thumbnail isnt the light version but the one in the video is
@@PLPlolol1 the one in the thumbnail is the f-gt lite. The one he has is the gt lite.
15:46 Apparently, he bought a shifter, but uses automatic. Nice
Dudes a dork ngl this vid was painful
Love his turbo paintning
Thanks! Great review. I’ve been shopping around.
bro tf is this clickbate.... it said 299$ not 600$$ on the video cover💀💀💀
You pay that much for a decent wheel, pedals and a shifter
Bro wtf is this viewbait comment it said $229 and it was pointing at the cockpit clearly
it pointed at the setup... any normal person would think its pointing at the setup and not JUST the chair... if you have a 500k car and you have a red arow pointing at it saying "only 50k!!!" like the first reflex isnt to think "oooooh its pointing at the door" like bruh if you want to make it obvious then just show the chair and not the rest of the setup with it@@k0ofy-K.O.
@@k0ofy-K.O.braindead
How to say, you’re flat broke without saying it 👆🤣
I highly doubt the shifter feels anything near the s2000... I´ve heared many bad reviews (good ones only beeing good for it´s price)... Is it just getting worse after a very little use or have you been a bit to enthusiastic about it? I would love to get a responce because it kinda makes me question how good the other products that you were testing are! Nevertheless I enjoyed watching! Much love from Germany
I have it and he's way over selling it its a good shifter for the money that's it
I've owned a rig a bit better than this with the same shifter, and it feels like garbage. It feels like you're rowing a boat
I can contest I have been playing on this exact same cockpit and steering setup on my Xbox for the last year-and-a-half it actually works really well I swapped my knob out with a heavy aluminum shift knob and put two rubber bands in an x around two of my screws and the shifters great and like you mentioned for its price point you really can't do much better I played on many higher-end Rigs and the g920 just as good my biggest problem with Logitech is they don't provide an e-brake and getting one that works with the g920 and an Xbox is very hard and costly and as more of a Gamble than anything
It feels like a toy
@@Dildos4Africa so does my fanatec
This exact setup looks nice and good priced
so you like to play with sticks? lol. Great video. I am sure some of my friends wished they got a more portable racing setup like this than the ones that take up about a couch of space and can't easily be broken down.
I feel like they tried to over sell it well at least they did for the shifter
Yeah. I have the same shift....it's ass. Too light and cheap feeling. Nothing like the metal ones if you spend over a £100 or bucks.
Expensive to cheap
1. Simucube
2. Fanatec
3. Thrustmaster
4. Logitech
My recommendation for a "normal+" budget:
Fanatec CSL DD
being the cheapest so called "direct drive" wheel. Look it up :)
A slightly cheaper tip: Thrustmaster T300RS
Bro that's almost a 300 buck difference. I can get a new g29 for 200$
@@nonyabizz3533 buy nice or buy twice
I know the target audience… (I KNOW I KNOW) however the sim racing community almost broke their screens watching this including myself😂 There’s 2 main problems with this..
1: The hardware is good and works, my old rig had all the same parts but try not to hype them up to a point where people think they’re going to feel the same in a real car. The parts are cheap, they wear and start to feel janky quick. They’re underpowered and that’s fine for the budget driver just be careful not to give people high expectations.
2: You bought a sim rig and played Forza! Forza is an arcade game maybe 1/2 a step up from need for speed. You’re essentially wasting the money and potential of the rig by not playing a racing sim that uses realistic physics.
I recommend checking out these titles:
Gran Turismo 7, Assetto Corsa/Competizione, iRacing
No hate at all just honest feedback!❤ great video nonetheless
I am saving up to buy the same set up! Great video!😊
F/GT lite is better because you can adjust the seating positions more. From F1 to GT style and everything in-between
It’s also a lot more expensive
@@ovall4052 wow. Your comment is very insightful. It is more expensive, because you can do more with it. You know that old saying "you get what you pay for" kind of works in this situation
@@Sinisterkid31 yeah, I didn’t mean to sound like a smarty and I agree that the F/GT style is much much better. I am an F1 super fan so I love the Formula position and all the different settings in between. I think it is definitely worth more money
@@ovall4052 right if you just want one seating position (GT) then save even more money and just get the Playseat. The versatility with the F/GT is worth the extra money. The F1 position is awesome. I normally set mine up somewhere in between the the F/1 and a GT position due to the height of my TV
@@Sinisterkid31 and there are better cockpits than the F/GT Lite for more, what's ur point? Price does make a difference mate
I have the playstation variant of the same wheel and my friend has this xbox version. The paddle shifters and the steeringwheel itself feels flimsy and cheap compared to my BMW M-sport wheel in my car. I think sizing up the steeringwheel would make a huge difference.
I would honestly hope this wheel doesn’t feel like a beamers 😂 that would be saying something about bmw lol
@@majormctater232 It can go both ways. Like, this could be as good as a BMW steering wheel or the BMW steering wheel is as bad as a sim wheel. Lol. Depends on how you phrase it.
this has to be an ad 💀
Personally, I would recommend a Thrustmaster Wheel(T150 or T300)
You could have tried stepping the wheel and pedal setup to a Thrustmaster T248, better software and force feedback system
i think you missed the part where they said budget
t248 sucks need a TS-XW
The g920 is the perfect wheel/pedal combo for price. I have the G923, but really, don't be me. I paid 399 for something barely any better. Definitely getting the folding rig though. How's it holding up?
@@zin9121 Where. It's 450 to 500 everywhere I look.

“And not double clutching like you should”🤣🤣love your videos
that rig just moves around way to much when you steer
DD unit will pull that deckchair apart, but for budget fun, seems like a pretty neat solution.
Hi I know this is a old video. I think I’m gonna get this. Cockpit do you recommend me getting the g20 racing wheel or g23 it’s gonna be for the Xbox X if I hear from you
how and where do you connect all those cables? does consoles recognize those setups plug and play? im just confused about it
Controllers are the cheapest and best competitive advantage for the game displayed at the beginning (Forza Horzion 4) The same applies for 5

Seeing you play this makes me so very happy and so very excited to get one. I am very new into the gaming scene just bought me a Samsung G9 ultra wide with a nice pre-built gaming rig. I'm a little nervous because I'm wondering is it very stable I worry about $225 lb and an athlete so I am a very built.
was thinking of getting that cockpit. have to buy a new wheel also, my old thrustmaster T150 goes limp if my tires slip.
Two months ago I receive a g29 as a gift from my credit card and last week I bought a similar cochpit, but my version is just GT cars, the one your can be mounted as a formular car too. and I bought too the same H shifter, I'm so excited to use them a lot.

I bought the exact same rig and tbh, I really like it. It does what I wanted it to and its handy as I have a lack of space for a permanent rig.
The build was easy, the bolts did line up, I didn't have any issues following instructions. Don't be put off by comments like that. The people who couldn't follow these instructions without a video or struggled to build it in less than 10 minutes clearly struggle with day to day tasks

Its good that you chose this wheel for this rig because rig doesent look sturdy enough for anything with stronger wheel engine.

But what about the e brake i need A sequential shifter and an E brake does that have a compatible set?
