    Bought this Shark 1/21/22…. Bought a Rumba first. That robot wouldn’t connect to my WiFi.(2.4mhtz) or whatever 😜… anyway I brought it back and picked up the Shark. The Shark connected to the Wi-Fi instantly and the app worked easily. All my floors are new laminate with a very small area rug in living room. All I was looking for was something to get a handle on the dog hair and sand from the beach. I wasn’t expecting an operating room job. Regular broom and vacuums are never 100% anyway. So I’m actually very satisfied with this. Paid $248 at Walmart. The full bin is enough evidence that this Shark is doing a fine job.

    I own this robot, I use it for the downstairs because it never gets cleaned. Luckly most of it is carpet so I can use it. It's at its 6th training run ( as of now ) and the app says it should share it with you at about ten. The shark ez is very quiet, even on normal. High is technically the same but a bit louder. But still quiet. On the first 3 runs, I was IMPRESSED on how it sucked the debris in. It was almost already full! One of my favorite is it our first ever robot we owned that has a camera! This robot fits really well with our 200ft basement. Looking for an irobot one for upstairs! :D

    I bought 2 IHome Nova' s one for me and one for my mother. While the cleaning might not be as good as others on heavy debris like sand, the navigation is remarkable. One run for both houses and the mapping was perfect and efficient.

    I actually like the looks, the light tan gives it an almost retro feel imo, although I believe most people would agree with you (white being better). Not really a fan of Shark robots myself, they just make cheaper copies of other robots & do nothing to innovate in the space. Appreciate the honest reviews, keep up the great work!

    I have the original IQ with empty bin and it actually works really great, it gets over the 5/8" threshold to get into my bathroom and my map is very accurate. I think I'm going to grab this EZ for my mom for Christmas, since she won't use any of the app functions and she prefers white. thanks for the video, I didn't even know they had this model until you posted it.

      I picked this up as my first robot about a week and a half ago. My biggest complaint about it is when it goes over little lips of carpet or transitions from carpet to a hard surface it leaves a ton of garbage that it drags underneath it. Now onto the shark app..that is just a mess for me and I don't like it.

    Is there any type of mapping with this unit? I have around a 1000' main floor and want to separate areas for cleaning. Separate high traffic daily and lightly used rooms weekly. Is that possible?

  • @Crazypostman
    @Crazypostman Před 2 lety +6

    I've been testing the shark AI and the iHome Nova for a couple weeks now. The shark AI is great in my opinion except in the app department. All the other lidar robots have live maps, If you know what I mean this one just has a static map. You can tell it where to go but you can't see where it's at or what it's doing on the map. That seems to be the only negative with the shark AI I've found so far. It will avoid big obstacles, but it's obstacle. Avoidance is nowhere near what the J7 is. Now with the iHome Nova it does good too for the price especially, except I've already had to untangle hair from the brush so that may be a long-term issue. I'm going to prefer The shark AI I can tell because I like the bagless design. Since I have pets it would cost me a fortune to stay in bags lol.

      How well do the nogo zones work on the Shark AI.The only thing I don't like about lidar robots is that will not clean under beds or furniture with aprons.

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman Před 2 lety

      @@danimal107 The no-go zones are very accurate, just like other lidar bots. One weird thing about the no-go areas. You can only make a square so you can't just make a line or anything else so that's kind of weird. But squares okay since it's very accurate

    I just bought my sharp EZ self empty robot vac the day after Christmas. My question is how long does the charge last after it’s fully charged it doesn’t mention it in the booklet and why does the room have to be well lit? will the vac not work if the room is dark I don’t understand. It doesn’t explain this.

    • @activeplaying7978
      @activeplaying7978 Před 2 měsíci +1

      It takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge, and it uses the camera to navigate. If it's dark, it does clean, but it might leave some areas without cleaning because it can't see we're it cleaned or might not clean in line.

    It looks like he forgot to put on the side brushes I almost overlooked them in the box. They are packaged in a red plastic baggie that is separate look for them. They stick out about an inch or so past the robot I kept looking for them in the video and didn’t see them, could make all the difference on the corners and base boards.

    I agree that the color sucks. However, your review of the baseboard cleanup is outright wrong. You interrupted the full cleaning cycle. Shark has their vaccums clean all main areas until determined to be done, that is followed by a full PERIMETER ONLY run before returning to base.
