Thank you! ☺️
Where did you get your planty earrings?! 😱😍
@@zoedeparscau5732 she said it in the video (ending part)
Yes to propagation video
🍉☺️
Came here to say this too!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkk
I had a peperomia frost leaf that I propagated, and when I was done with the adult leaf, I passed it on to a friend of mine who was also able to propagate from the same leaf. Peperomias are pretty rad that way.
Oh wow!! Okay I'm definitely going to do that now :)
Your tip about bending the leaves to determine if it's thirsty has helped me so much with my watermelon peperomia! You mentioned it in another video and I immediately started trying it and I feel so much more confident about it's care now.
Yayy!! that's really good news
This video was To Die For !!!!! Thank You !
Some peperiomia's are living their best life in my house and some just die with in a few weeks 😂
😂😂
Same
12:19 if you have a leaf that the petiole rots off, you can cut the leaf in half and place it upright in some damp soil cut-side down, and you'll get babies along the cut edge.
That's the method I've tried in the past and didn't have success :( sad!! I'd be willing to try again someday haha but the water works for me pretty well most of the time
I am interested in a video about propagating peperomia please.
Chrystal Sabin me too 🌸
☺️🍉
Finally, someone talking in depth about watermelon peperomia! A lot of the tutorials I've read about, have not offered the depth of information of what to look for. It's just the generic, don't over water them, and splotchy leaves are bad. Where's the information which puts it all together? So very much appreciated this video. As I've not succeeded with any peperomia propagation, in soil, I'd appreciate you sharing your how-to's. Especially with watermelon peperomia. It my absolute favourite peperomia also!
Beautiful plants💕 my sister gifted me one yesterday I'm in love haha thank you for sharing your advice and collection, I too usually feel getting to know them is the best way it's a nice friendship I find it very peaceful tending to them, I love succulents too 💚
i am propagating a pep leaf in soil, about half buried-it’s forming roos along the veins. excited to see how it turns out! also, i have double propagated begonia leaves in soil and i bet peps would too!
YOUR SO PRETTY!! I also LOVE your vids and earrings! :))
Great vid. I take a leaf and cut it in half and place it in soil and put it in a sandwich bag. The humidity stays up and little plantlets form quickly. 🌿🌸🌵
That is how I got my itty bitty prostata cuttings and some hoya bella cuttings to root and start growing. Best little greenhouse ever.
farmerswifesince95 so cheap and so easy. I also use it for many cuttings.
I so wish that method worked for me!!!!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants that method has never worked for me either, they just go mushy and gross :(
Loved the video!
I propergated three leaves on one stem from my grandma's dying peperomia plant. Since they are discolored I cut them off my now 3 or 4 year old plant and cut them into seperate cuttings. 3 months later and the baby's look great. I will be curious to see if they can take being cut again. Awesome how one dinky yellowed stalk can turn into my now 4 pots of thriving plants.
Hi,watermelon peperomia is my favorite peperomia.I'm still on a hunt for the variegated one.I propagated my old leaves and now they're giving me babies. Thanks for sharing.I enjoyed this video...
Love the earrings. Love watermelon pepperomia's. Great video
Id love to see the propagation video. And those earrings are so cute!! I'd love to get some.
I love peperomias! I’d love to add the watermelon peperomia to my collection. Thank you so much for this video. It’s very informative.🤗🌹❤️
Your videos are always so relaxing and calming and you always feel so positive and good vibes ugh ur channel is amazing
Aww!!! Thank you so much, that's really kind of you❤️
Becca De La Plants omg I watch your channel everyday I’m so happy you actually saw this and replied back to me !! You made me day 😭✨💛
You’ve convinced me - I need a watermelon peperomia 😀
Cute earrings 💚❤️
I literally just got a watermelon pepperomia today!! How perfect!
Wow, very helpful! Thanks a bunch!
Peperomias are hit and miss for me. They seem prone to rotting even if I let them dry out. However, I love the variety and the petite size. Hits: All caperatas (inc frost/moonlight) Graveolins/polybotrya/parallel. Misses: Piccolo Banda (if I get another, will put it in a terrarium), Eden Rosso, Jellie. Reasonable: String of turtles, metallica, scandens. Have never had a watermelon. My Rosso props all rotted, so haven't tried again. Thanks once again for showing us your plants.
Omg my ear piercings closed up a long time ago but your watermelon peperomia earrings just made me wanna pierce my ears again 😭😂
They're so freaking cute!!
And YES to a propagation video, please! I just got a watermelon peperomia a couple weeks ago and it has been on my wishlist for soo long and I am in loooove with it 😍😍😍😍 I've been meaning to try to propagate it - so perfect timing!!
Peperomia frost was my first plant! I love love love it and find it so beautiful!
My absolute favorite plants! 🥰 🥰 starting my day right
I started propagating damaged leaves and the first two are getting roots!! I'm so excited, they usually just rot hahaha
I'm still looking for a Peperomia Prostata...yours is so cute! I'm gonna catch them all! lol
Haha yess peperomia are all very cute!! ☺️
Very cute earrings. I'd love a propagation video. Many of my first plants were peperomias because they are not toxic to cats. My favorites are watermelon pep, peperomia quadrangularis, pep fuzzy mystery, pep elongata, and emerald ripple.
Wow great job on managing the watermelon peperomias and love the earrings! Ya do a video on them propergatin your way👍💚
🍉☺️ thank you!
Thank for sharing. I love the way they look. Just like 🍉 WATERMELONS 😍
That baby watermelon 😍😍😍
☺️🍉
Your earrings are so cute!
Yes to the propagation video 💚🙃
Oh thanks for eggshells tip! I’ve been searching for a remedy for the curled new leaves growing on my pepperonis hope
awww love this video. HI LEO! I actually gave my peperomia frost away to a friend for her housewarming present, but not before water propagating like 6 leaves and putting them in soil. Just the other day I noticed that a baby leaf has shot up out of the soil!
Great video and especially how you use the peperomia leaves to determine if your plants need watering. With your watermelon propogation, how long does it take from starting the process to having new leaves appearing? Perhaps you could go through your process one day in a video? (I should say I asked the Q half-way through your video and then you answered some of these questions! And yes! Please make a video on propagation!).
Yes… pls do a propagation video! Love your peperomia collection! 🌱🪴
Nice collection just subscribed 👍
I would love to see a full watermelon prop video!!
🍉☺️
Yasss please please please do the watermelon peperomia propagation video!!!
Yes to the video!
Love your earrings!
Your earrings! 😍😍
I love 🥰 most peperomia and I recently finally got watermelons which I have heard are difficult 😅. I would love to see a peperomia propagation video. I have seen other videos involving heat matts which I have no space for.
I’d be interesting in Pep. propagation. Also I love your earrings, couldn’t stop looking at them ❤️.
Thank you!! :))
I have two of these watermelon peperomia, and a caperata, I loved your earrings.
Thanks!!
Hi, Becca. Thanks for shairing tips and nice earring btw!
I have a question: how can I make the leaves shiny and clean (just like yours) if my watermelon peperomia leaves are dusty and has lots of watermarks?
New sub here! Thank you for sharing, I just bought a Peperomia argyreia hopefully it won't die on me 😅 I can't wait for mine to become bigger as yours mine is a baby. Love the video, not only your plants are gorgeous so are you! 🌷
❤️❤️ thank you so much!!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants You're very much welcome 💕💕💕
Omg I would totally love a propagation video! I’ve been back and forth with buying a cutting on Facebook purge because I can’t find this plant anywhere near me!
Definitely do it!’
I would like to see how you propogate these , thanks for sharing. They are slowly growing on me especially the watermelon pep
Awesome! I’ll start planning :)
Love the watermelon one but can’t find one, doesn’t make sense it seems they are easy too propagate. Yours is beautiful an great idea with egg shells. Love the ear rings. 😀
Thank you!!
I have a peoeromia emerald green (I think that's the name) but the label says moonlight. Let me tell you, they are very annoying and sensitive so I gave up on them. Put them outside in the balcony with a roof so no direct sun, and let them be. I water them when completely dry. Summer came here in Melbourne and the days can be very bi-polar. One day we can be 18 and gusty with cold fronts from Antarctica in the summer and the next we can get northernly winds that can spike temperature sup to 45 deg celcius (113 F). I was surprised that it survived days of those. It thrived and the leaves grew large and the stems grew, too!
Oh my gosh!! It survived the patio! 😂 must be stronger than we think lol
Please do a watermelon peperomia propagation video! I have tried multiple ways of propagating them and I’ve had no luck. Well I have two leaves chilling in water without stems right now and so far they haven’t died and I might be seeing some roots but I’m not convinced!
Love some peperomia. I find some hit or miss though. Right now I have about 6 and they are doing well🤞
Love your collection🙌
Definitely hit or miss!! Agreed
Would love to see you propagate. Love the ear rings 😍
Thank you! :)
Do all your pots have holes in the bottom? I’m a new plant mom and wanted to know if that was necessary :)
To cute the first. Can you do you're top 10 favorite?
Great idea!
I gave away all of pepperomias to my daughter bc I just lost all interest. But - if I came across a watermelon one I might try again. Let me know if u see them in town 😉. Yes to a watermelon pepper prop vid!!!
Haha I'd be happy to share a propagation with you!!
I tried to propagate a few of my pepperomia caperata leaves and mine did the same weird curly stem thing and died. May be we need to take big, mature and oldest leaves to succeed 🤔
But I am trying the cutting the leaf in half method currently...
By the way Becca, I wanted to tell you that I found out something. You showed us your pink syngonium which was curly and wonky. Shortly after that, mine put out a funky curly pink leaf. I figured it out that we should never let a syngonium dry out when it is putting out a new leaf. If you do it then the leaf becomes curly and wonky 😉
Idk why they do that!! But the leaf in half method did NOT work for me 😅 I wish it did!! That’s a great tip, thank you so much!! I recently found out that plant had spider mites 😭
Yes please do a video!
I have 1 peperomia . I really like it. I would watch a video on propagation. I have heard the don't like being transplanted. I am scared to put it in a terracotta pot. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Glad to share!
My frost peperomia is SO dramatic, if I miss one day of watering she is dropping to the floor like there’s no tomorrow lmao
I am looking for a watermelon pepperomia...I heard they are difficult but I want to try. You make it look easy and 👍 for the prop vid your babies are so cute. I recently purchased string of turtles it’s so darn cute (and small) I’m hoping for the best. Keep us posted on yours and if you propagate it I’d be interested in your results thanks
I'm propagating peperomia frost right now in water and they seem to have taken! The frost plant I got grows like a weed, have you experienced that? Mine is going absolutely crazy growing, it's fun and gives me lots of chances to try different methods of propagation.
That's awesome!! I need to try propagating my frost :)
I love my watermelon peperomias! Everyone I knowis about to get one too cause i've propagated it so much this winter!🤣🤷♀️ they are so easy to propagate!
😀 they are super easy to prop!!
How long does it show roots? Did you propagate in soil or water?
Yes!!
No more peperomias for me for a while. My red caperata died a slow death for the last 6 months of me having it until I finally threw it out. I had bought a gorgeous hanging variety that looked great for a few months and then as winter came, it completely died back. I gifted one to my mother in law which she promptly killed. I still have 5 varieties but I just try to pretend they don't exist because I feel like if I give them more than a shot glass of water they die. And people say ferns are hard...
I just jumped on the Hoya train since my crimson queen has been looking nice since early fall. I hope to have better luck than with peperomias!
Hi Becca, loving your youtube content, I just got a watermelon peperomia and doing my research I found out this plant was said to have a quite short lifetime which is really worrying me. I tried to find the approximative lifetime period of the plant but couldn't find a precise one, do you have any idea of how long it is? I love my watermelon peperomia, not ready to see him die :(
Oh man I didn’t know that!!
Please make the video of the peperomia propagation. I’ve tried with 5 leaves and they all became rotten. Where do you put them during propagation? 😩😭
Yes to propagation please! It's so cool to see how you can propagate peperomias by leaves, stems, & division. Also, I'd love to hear about what plants don't tell you when they're thirsty & just try to die on you haha.
Yes interested about propagating watermelon peperomia.
🍉☺️
I love the compact peperomia, I have orba pixie, rosso,Napoli night & I think I have hope but they are tiny and I hope they are going to trail??
They could!!!
did you ever do the video of propagation?
I love peperomias actually and I've seem them being sold here but they're really expensive and always have damaged leaves! Hopefully I'll find one that«s either more affordable or looking better soon!
🤞🏼🤞🏼☺️
My peperomia clusiifolia is blooming right now too, it reminds me of an anthurium flower without the spathe. Rat-tail is apt.
Yes!!
Have tried water and soil propagation on my Peperomia without success , both with stem and leaf cuttings. They tend to rot.
All about a propagation video! I love my watermelon pep, but there are some super ugly but healthy leaves I'd like to prop.
They don't totally appeal to me either, they always seem so tender and delicate. I do have a few, but I have also lost a few. Feels like I'm always holding my breath with them!!!
Same!! They’re very delicate!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants one that I DO have and have been enjoying very much, even though it seems like it should be fussy, is the Pepperspot. Pretty much like the ruby cascade, but a green version with no red leaf undersides. I have it on top of my kitchen cabinet, trailing down. It's out of reach, without using a chair, which really helps me to just ignore it and let it do its thing!!!
you’re so cute ☺️
How to watering pepperomia obtusifolia?😢
Yes! Propagation video please
Why doesn’t all the stems stand upright? Is it lack of light or water? And how to make the leaves shiny?
Hmmm depends. Soil wet and plant still droopy after some time = root rot, likely. Soil dry and plant droopy = thirsty. They might also keep leaves lower because they receive too much light. Peperomia don’t need a ton of light, and especially don’t like any direct light.
Becca De La Plants Thank you for your reply. Will keep a closer eye on the watering and the light exposure.
would love to see a propagation video
My friend refers to the blooms as "party streamers". I think it's appropriate. I love peperomias!
Your peperomia earrings!!
Love your earrings.
Thank you!
Yes please do a propagation video.
Hi Becca, how did you create your little plant wishlist icon on your instagram? I totally agree with what you said in one of your videos, to put it out into the universe! ☺️🤔amen sister! “one mans trash is another mans propagation.”
When you add a photo to your stories, after it’s posted there is an icon that is a circle with a heart in it. Click on that and you can create a highlight :)
Becca De La Plants Again, thank you! You have been so helpful!!💕I need to create a new Instagram profile for my pant channel.
I would love to watch a video on Peperomia propagation
🍉☺️
Propagate that frost and share! I just bought one!
Please do the propagation video
My peperomia watermelon is dying :( help me! I water bottom it, it is in a terracota pot. The soil mix is perlite, coco coir and potting mix
Sounds like you’re doing everything right!? Check for a pest and make sure it’s getting the correct light. Also try watering only when it’s getting soft. That seems to help a lot of people
It would be great for a propigation video! I know how to propigate but I don't know when is the appropriate time to pot up my propigation so they've all died.
Woohoo! I'll start planning :)
Yes propagation video
🍉☺️
I love peperomia I have mine in terra-cotta & they sit in a kitty litter tray 😂 from the 99 cent store 💚🌿
Aww that's so funny! Love it :)
You could be a model. You’re gorgeous.
I'm the same with with peperomias! I don't get the hype...
My peperomia leaves are so small. 😢.......edit. -Just realized mine says ‘mini peperomia’ 😜 I was really concerned for a min lol
Hahahah ❤️😂
@8:26 Leo is your pupperomia!
hahaha!! so funny
The top is lovely but it hurts my eyes 😂😂😂😭😭😭 it flickers on tv screen.
Aghhh I know I’m sorry :( I realized it afterwards and I didn’t have time to refilm!
Becca De La Plants I wouldn’t want you to refilm because of a top 😂😂!
cool you’re cute ☺️
