On seeing Werribee racecourse station abandoned, reminded me of Geelong Race Course station, also abandoned. Little left but remnants of the platform mound.🇦🇺
Is this only Part 1? I can think of many more. Langwarrin (Stony Point Line), Narambi (Mornington Line), Lyndhurst (Cranbourne Line), White City (St. Albans/Sunbury Line), Williamstown Pier (formerly the Williamstown Line's terminus), Coldstream (Healesville Line), and Mobiltown (Altona Loop Line) are a few others. There were also many stations on the closed Port Melbourne and St. Kilda Lines that were converted to tram stops when the lines were converted to light rail. And the Rupertswood platform just beyond Sunbury Station is another abandoned and disused railway platform in metropolitan Melbourne. There is even an abandoned Sydenham V/Line platform just past Watergardens Station on the Sunbury Line too.
Do you know where this sydenham Vline platform is? I've been searching on google maps for it. I believe it is the one near the overpass of the Melton highway. It is called on Google maps 'old sydenham railway station'. Also do you know if rupertswood is demolished? I searched for it on google maps but i couldn't find it.
South morang (recently demolished) mernda (demolished and rebuilt) Yan yean platform is still there sitting in a paddock on the corner of old plenty road and Arthurs creek road)
I think they will rebuild General Motors one day because there is actually a lot of buildings around that area that could use a station They might rename it though
I know most of these closed stations except for Werribee Racecourse and Galvin Correction: Princes Bridge was closed in 1998 because of the Princes Gate towers were closed and to make way for federation square
It was Princes Bridge Platform 14 not Flinders Street. I occasionally caught trains to Hurstbridge and there was always 3 platforms at Princes Bridge...........12,13 & 14. It was a concrete jungle but it worked well.
@@HazptMedia Yeah. I Know. It's Probably Better to Have It Just Go Through to One Central Hub at Flinders Street. One Thing They Could do is Re-Open Platform 14 at Flinders St. to City Circle Trains. Because of the City Circle Portal at Flinders St: railgallery.wongm.com/city-loop/F130_6054.jpg.html. But that's EXACTLY What the City Circle Tram Does.
City Gunzals: Public Transport Vlogs in Victoria last year there were city circle trains for people to get to flinders Street Station that r stuck in the loop without trains
Poor description by Hazpt Media. General Motors was General Motors Holden (GMH) and its factory was located east of Dandenong. So a train station was built for its workers and named it General Motors.
@@transportfanaussie What do you mean Campbellfield isn't a closed station? Well its long gone I know but it once existed opposite where Kmart is now. It was part of the Whittlesea line when motorrail units ran from Fawkner. Between Gowrie and Upfield. Mobiltown closed in the early 1980s, it was on the Altona line. Lyndhurst was on the South Gippsland line close to where the truck collided with the Cranbourne train years ago.

I believe p14 of Flinders Street was originally a platform of princes bridge
Yes, Platforms 14, 15 & 16 were Princes Bridge however the great mystery is where were Platforms 12 & 13?

@@jacintaedwards1123 I meant modern day p14 at flinders street. Thanks for the extra info tho
@@vincentweatherly9991 Platform 14? There is no 14. I thought there were only 11 platforms?
Great Video! I Want Paisley and Galvin to Re-Open and I also Want Princes Bridge to be Open but what would be the use of That?
Princes Bridge will never reopen as the line was extended under Swanston St to Flinders St Station
