Agreed! Its very different in person. Plus they also have some aftermarket GT style options that I think are even better now on top of that!
Great review! Totally understand the opinion! I too wasn’t a fan of the front grille at first, but it grew on me. I own a 21 frozen dark grey, red interior with a manual, which I don’t know that you get the manual over there as opposed to the states.. but the manual is a lot of fun.
A used one here goes for 75-85k. I think if it cost 160k in the states you could for sure go up in a higher end sports car (Porsche, used R8, McLaren 570s , however, if you are a M3 guy, I think the things you listed make total sense as to why you don’t like it. I think they tried to have a fine line of keeping it a true M3 which I believe they did, but also giving it what this current industry “standards” of everything being “up to date”. The steering is a bit meh, and the manual is slightly gummy feeling (not the best shifts) but yeah, I love mine and I feel I get to enjoy the era that the M is in currently and respect it overall.

Vorsteiner grille def improves the looks imo and I think it would look great in this white

Dahler exhaust flap controllers…. They give you the ability to fully open the valves on any exhaust you purchase including stock.
Yes, I think valved exhausts are essential! Depending how everything goes, I hope to have one for my 135i - I’d probably get at least a catback/axel back system rather than just the controller
@@ElliottBrooks I initially thought the same. But with the midpipe, secondary cat & resonator delete, I’m happy with the sound from my factory box. Plus when the system is closed, it as quiet as stock. I went a step further and turned off active sound. So I literally can have my valves wide open, in efficiency, with ASC turned off and no speaker sound.
@@brandonchism6960 yeah nice. So you have a G80 M3 by your display pic? The stock exhaust system seems pretty good. Would probably need to go full titanium to improve upon it. My 135i stock exhaust system has a lot of room for improvements
@@ElliottBrooks that’s correct. I’m happy with it, especially with the amount of time I spend on the highway. I could see going for a louder, less restrictive option if I drove it less, but that’s not the case for me. As for your 135, Im not as familiar. But from the ones I’ve heard here, they sound glorious when modified.

Not sure - I only had this car for a weekend unfortunately so didn’t know every detail - but it does look like it has shadow line trim

No this one wasn’t x drive. I would get x drive if I had the chance. I do miss the grip of my old AWD cars. Agree that the rear is nicer than the front, but it’s certainly grown on me from the original online images I saw
When are you going to put out another 135i vid?
Hopefully soon bro! I’ve just moved house which has made things tough. Now they’re renovating the communal garage space - so it’s a bit tricky! Stay tuned though

Yeah they’re cool cars. Which year model are you looking at? I am a BMW fan boy - so would probably stay with BMW over Audi but they are good cars
@@ElliottBrooks 2024! Competition this year is cheaper. I am never gonna track the car. But just because the G80s are so perfect. Its just so confusing for me. I am still leaning towards the RS5 Comp tho
@@ayushbarot yeah I think the M3 is probably the better performing car of the two. But it just comes down to preference. I would probably want to go for a Porsche once I started getting up in that price tag, but they are probably even more expensive
it's not that the grille has grown on you... it's that it actually looks decent on an M3/M4. Base 3/4-series still looks like 💩😂

@ElliottBrooks same, but they didn't show M4 until a while after 😆 I think at that point everyone was biased against it from the initial reveal

Apparantly the steering wheel is heavy like the older f90 M5..lifeless and boring. If so.. oh dear..but this is the new standard now. Will stick with my f82. The price is no joke..in South Aceica..thry are also very expensive..don t think ts worth it..car prices are out of control.

8:00 Why are you comparing an M3 to the Tesla? It’s an “Ultimate Driving Machine” for a reason. If you want you car to drive for you, buy a Tesla. Otherwise buy this and turn all those things off. My G80 M3 is the best car I’ve EVER driven! Better than Mercedes, Lexus, and Audi. Nothing compares.

Yeah I think that’s fair feedback. I personally much prefer the F80 M3 or maybe the F87 M2.
