What causes shear pins to break after 3 feet of bale of hay

Several things can cause pins to shear. If you’re only making a 3 ft bale before they let go, you have issues somewhere on the baler. Probably a bearing out or something rubbing somewhere.
I have been having issues popping pins after I get to about a 5.5 ft bale. My problems are coming from the pickup though. One side on the pickup wore through the support arm and is causing the floor chains to hit.
You’ll have to give your baler a good go through to find any problems.

How is it threaded? How many grease points?

Twine box is on right hand side of baler, as sitting in seat of tractor. Twine goes through spools to the front, then through needle/arm.
Total grease points are just shy of 30.
