NOTE: One thing I wanted to add but forgot was a shout out to Dontas. She only played 7 minutes but was 3 for 3 including a huge three-pointer. The Fever doesn't win without her contribution.

It really helped having Hull in the game. Played good defense and was clutch in the paint with 2 big buckets. That should have happened in the previous games.

We need her to aggressively look for and create her shots every game. The assists and rebounds will be there no matter what.
Agreed. I loved how she dribbled for her own shots twice in the paint.The confidence in the mid is coming around.
Instead of getting trapped on the wing, she needs to take over end of quarter and game and if she has the ball under 8 on the shot clock. Get her own shot or breakdown the d and generally get fouled more like Stewie. If they're going to dog her 3/4 court she needs to get that player in foul trouble immediately. That said, I now put her #2 for MVP behind aja. If she can do those things she will be the MVP and GOAT.
@@7671889 In the 4th, CC put her defender in jail and went to the rack to bank one in......that shot was huge in this game. I can't help thinking that she has something figured out coz she was really struggling to get anything at all at the rack in the first half of the season. Maybe she's faster, I dunno, but that shot she made it seem like she could do that whenever they need it. She was confident.

Yeah and if she keeps putting in the work she will only get better. There are other girls in the league that have become good as well like Kelsey plum has become phenomenal but none of them fill a stat sheet like Luka doncic. I saw a clip the other day Clyde Drexler averaged 7 points a game as a rookie.

What a whiff by sides in the post game. When asked to make a case for CC as ROTY, she could only say that CC is very competitive. It seemed like the journalist knew sides does not believe in CC and wanted to show the fans.

I think CC has leg fatigue. Her 3s are hitting the front of the rim, weakness in the legs. She's been playing for pretty much a solid year with no rest.
Absolutely, she was 3-4 on 3's in the first quarter, then faded. After the Olympic break and a couple weeks rest I think she's going to light it up.
Agreed. She hasn't shot the three well the past three games. In the previous four games she shot 50%, making 12 of 24.
Gotta give props to Smith her energy and tough rebounding in the 4th energized the Fever. Smith has been a disappointment the last few games bad defense, bad shot selection, missed free throws just bad play but that spurt really helped. CC is remarkable.

Toward the end of the first half with a nice lead they brought in Wallace and Wheeler taking out Clark and Boston. Result was lost the momentum and lead. Screaming at the TV. Luckily, I don't think they ever got of the bench again.....at least I didn't notice.
Yes, crazy how fast things went south. To be fair, CC was running hard & probably needed to rest for those 90 seconds & during the end-of-quarter break. Why not put Lexi in... plus anyone else other than Wheeler?
When they run n gun from the start it does tire out the defense n gives them a chance for a good 4th

Someone suggested that the Fever should run the old Loyola Marymount offense from the Bo Kimball days. As you said, why stop running...ever? That's how they beat Phoenix. They took them up tempo and the Mercury couldn't keep up. Great win!! Great milestone for the KID!!
Yes! To go back even further my dad used to talk about an Arkansas team where the coach's philosophy was to give the other team '40 minutes of hell.' Full court press, running offense all game long.

I actually think the line up rotations were on point today, it looked good and wasn’t too frustrating. Outside of stopping Clark’s momentum early on (but I missed that early on).
Sides has been blessed with an oppurtunity to coach a transcendent player. A once in a lifetime player. Instead of embracing that she rather sabotage the oppurtunity. Its infuriating and heart breaking at the same time. This is what they mean when they say get out of your own way.
This should've been her SECOND triple double. Her coach kept her from getting a triple double last Sunday against the Mercury.
This team, every game, win or lose, are clearly getting better. GO FEVER!!!

@@RalphKetchum Every game when CC starts off hot, Mitchell seems to try to catch up and goes crazy throwing up shots and dribbling in circles. That's why she got benched against Phoenix. She was horrible for a while there, turning it over and bricking shots every time down the court it seemed like. Luckily, she came through at the end.

Can players wear protection? Clark's knees took a beating against Vegas. Knocked flat on her back 3x's in the 1st few game minutes @Vegas. No one seems to notice. CC usually gets a "physicality" message. Need protection just like other sports. Definitely better REFS! Liberty, a classy team played a clean game. Thank you Liberty.!!!

in addition to becoming the first rookie ever to post a triple-double, caitlin clark racked up her fourth points/assists double-double in the last five games, breaking sue bird’s rookie record of 3 set in 2002. furthermore, she registered her 10th 15/5/5 game of the season, more than all other rookies combined since 2020 (7). caitlin clark is putting together an historical rookie season.

They won besides Sides benching Clark when she's red hot in the first quarter...So she can play her favorites Wallace and Wheeler..so they could lose that big lead...In case some don't know Caitlin Clark played soccer most of her life,So she doesn't need to rest in the Fourth quarter..You could see Sides yelling at her from the side line..She didn't like Clark taking that many shots..Sides is such a liar and a worthless coach....

Now the PLAYERS know that they are contenders. It seems like some of the egos are disappearing. C.C. was intense, kept her cool, and she looks like she may be getting her health back. Problems: the officials; the league; THE COACH. Nothing that they can do about the haters, haters gonna hate. Barring a serious injury, CC is the only choice for MVP. Which makes ROTY a no brainer. 4K👍👍

Why is every male ref in the WNBA bald? The refs seem to anticipate fouls on the Fever. It gets ridiculous at times.

CC only made three three pointers with twelve shots...this is not play off material, IMHO. Did the coach tell her to shoot more? yes, CC is supposed to try three pointers fifteen times per game. CC is not making "good" three point attempts. She needs to set her feet, take half a second, the let 'er go. As an old 'baller with a "good" jump shot (according to a retired NBA forward from my home town), that half second to prepare makes a difference between fifty per cent shooting and twenty five per cent.
