I'm a side sleeper and so far the Silk and Snow has been great firmness-wise. It's also cooler than my prior mattress, a Casper Original.
Did you have both in hybrid ? Is the silk one firmer than Casper like he says? I’m a side sleeper and dint like too firm

The Silk and Snow Hybrid Mattress looks like a nice firm (7.5) mattress. Great for Back, Stomach or Combo sleepers, but side sleepers may feel a little cramped. Overall it looks like a great choice for stomach sleepers, heavier folks and couples. Thanks for another great review!!!!

Given the name of this brand and the silver infused cover I expected this mattress to be luxury price but they are surprisingly affordable after discounts. I will definitely keep this mattress in mind during my shopping.
I sleep hot but need to very much find a way to cool down. These look awesome for that :)
I'd never heard of the Silk & Snow brand, but it sounds like a pretty good mattress. I'm a combo sleeper, and the review says it is great for back & stomach sleepers, but not so much for side sleepers, so this would be a bit of a concern. Also, I like a cool or temperature neutral mattress, and the review said this mattress sleeps a bit hot. Great review!!
I like this Silk and Snow brand mattress. Never heard of them before. I like it for me as a side sleeper. Lots of comfort plus support.

At $800 for a Cal -King , I think its a great value...tho its a 7.5 on the firmness scale heavier people will soften it up in a few months to make it a perfect medium....I am in the process of finding one for my daughter who needs a cool king size bed.....and this might be it!!
I sleep hot so I definitely prefer getting a mattress that can cool me down, this one may not be good for me since you said it sleeps a little hot and it's on the firm side while I'm a side sleeper.
Which would you recommend for a combo sleeper (more back) with lower back issues and tight nick/shoulders ? This or the endy foam mattress?
I like the great mobility for changing positions but probably too firm for me since im a side sleeper.
Might keep this in my recommended shortlist; edge support and low motion transfer are nice but having it sleep hot isn't.
I tend to sleep a little hot, so I'm a bit worried this might trap heat around my shoulders and back. That's my one problem with some foam mattresses- they really get hot. I've only seen a few that address the heat issue (dream mattresses, 7 pod etc.)

I agree with Robin Weidner. Had me at Silk and Snow and lost me with the firmness. My whole life needs pressure relief not to mention my tired body lol
Once you have the comfort plus kit on top of the medium mattress, does the Novos mattress feel too hot?
How does this mattress hold up in terms of durability over longtime usage? Does it sink in the center?
How would you recommend this mattress for a side sleeper who weighs over 230lbs & sleep hot ?
I definitely sleep warmer. Occasionally I wake up freezing bc I have launched the comforter off me.
hey Sleepopolis, I just reviewed your website for the Silk & Snow hybrid mattress and it clearly shows a firmness of 6.5 while in your video you indicate 7.5, that's a huge difference, why is that? Also, is this mattress softer than DreamCloud Premier? DreamCloud is definitely for me, a side sleeper, too firm. thx,

Not typically a hot sleeper, except on warmer nights with our memory foam topper. My husband sleeps hot most of the time, however.
Should mention that this mattress has 100% Canadian steel coils and sourced all from Canadian foams. Watch out because other “supposedly” Canadian brands use Sub standard Chinese steel and foam. Did my research the last two weeks and the Silk and Snow Hybrid is my top Choice. Gonna order two twin xl’s today for my split king adjustable bed! Looking forward to trying it out.

@@rmleider No. I'm still using a mattress I purchased 2 years ago that's a bit too firm. I will take another look at this mattress when it's time for a replacement in a year or two.
I wish more mattresses were flippable - I feel like it wears pretty quickly. I like that this one is good for couples and isolating motion, but I don't like that it sleeps hot. That's a bummer.
you say the endy is much better for side sleep but yet the endy has much more green in the pressure map on your side???
I sleep cold and in the winter an electric blanket is a necessity.

Can you contact Silk & Snow to keep their words for easy return? I contacted them many times but no reply. I need to return their too soft mattress. This hybrid mattress is too soft for me! Please help!

I sleep hot, I like the gel infused foam but they all seem to still sleep hot. I'm wondering what type of sheets would you need on the cooling mattresses to ensure they sleep cool?
good point foam is foam i.e. chemical ++ so probably hot even with gel stuff,
... I would imagine. I've had sheets made of something called Egyptian cotton ...quite cool with memory foam. In fact, too much so for Canadian winters...but you can just go with normal sheets in winter.
Silver is antimicrobial. They sell socks with it... Wash cloths for dishes, etc

I don't need any extra blankets, but my wife needs a couple in the winter, so I guess I sleep warm to hot

I sleep really hot. Tried a full memory foam and woke up drenched every night.
A little too firm for me. Maybe another variety more on the meduim/soft side.
I sleep both hot and cold. My feet get hot. My head gets cold. So, I keep my feet out from under the sheets. And, sometime I wear a sleeping hat like rip van winkle. It's Gloooorrrrrious!
I'm a side sleeper 150lbs, so I think the Silk & Snow would be too firm for me.
Interesting hybrid bed. Comparatively it looks similar to the Dreamcloud, Casper hybrid and Alexander hybrid. I am a combination back and side sleeper and would likely feel bound on shoulders and hips. The build looks solid, while the foams appear to be heat trapping. I sleep hot and while back sleeping would be ok on this mattress, I'd be hot and have joint pains in the morning. Thanks
Hi, which one would you recommend between S&S memory foam and Casper element? I have had degenerative disk and my lower back for 10 years and the only mattress that I have really liked was 14 in Gel memory foam by Novaform that I bought from Costco. But Costco does not have the same model at the around same price that I bought in 2016. That Novaform mattress was awesome, great price, great firmness and it held the shape very well after 5 years. I had to move to a different province so I could not take it with me.
I never slept hot before until about 5 years ago, when I got my current mattress. Now I do, so I'm aggressively hunting for a cooling mattress to avoid that next time. This one sleeping hot is unfortunately a dealbreaker for me.
I sleep pretty comfortably in the middle -- not too hot or cold.

They only approve and post good reviews on their website, right? Can you help to contact someone in their company to handle the return as per their promise on their website? The mattress I've got is too soft and not the one the website shown.

I sleep very hot and memory foam seems to just make matters worse.

Most definitely a hot sleeper. More so as I get older.
Silver doesn’t help with cooling, it helps with bacteria.
Giveaway: I sleep warm/hot all year long and get so frustrated so any mattress that offers some cooling benefits is a plus. The Silk and Snow Hybrid looks amazing i just wish it was more plush because im a side sleeper. Great review though

This is a nice looking mattress but too firm for me as I am a side and back sleeper.
I really like the look of this bed and the fact you can get it for under 900 for a queen is a big draw.. I just wish they offered something more plush and soft for us SIDE SLEEPERS.

Mattress may be ok but their customer service is HORRIBLE (thats if you even get the mattress!) I would stay away... this is a small random brand, how much quality do you think they can provide as compared to Endy or even Saatva?
