- This portion derives its name from Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro, who was a Midianite priest. Some would have looked at this man sideways because he is an “outsider,” and affiliated with other beliefs. However, God considered his contribution as important in that it benefited Israel. Apparently, Jethro heard about the plagues, the splitting of the sea and other events and these reports prompted him to bring Moses’ family to him at Horeb. And so we see that two people can hear the same thing, might even be in the same room, and come away with two different points of view light years apart.

Hello @David Correia, the videos section on CZcams channels only consists of video that were uploaded to CZcams and does not include any of our livestreams. (Hence, why the Study of Romans, Midrash, etc, are not found there since they were all livestreamed.) The reason you can find the Shabbat teachings on the videos section is because the stand alone edits of the teachings (which do not include any worship, liturgy, etc) are uploaded later in the week. If you'd like to find the Wednesday Night service, Midrash's, etc, then you can either find them in their respective playlists or in the "Live" section of our channel. Hope this helps! Blessings!
@@JacobsTent But when I watch the same channel/video on my tab or phone, all videos are aligned sequentially and datewise (including live & edited videos).... I think the same order should reflect on the laptop as well.....but anyways, thanks for the clarification
@@davidcorreia9227 Ohhh ok, I understand now. Thank you for explaining that. Unfortunately, I don't believe we have control over how that is organized when it comes to making it the same on laptops as it is via mobile phone or tablet, because it is done automatically by CZcams. I agree though that it would be helpful for it to be consistent across the board. You're welcome!
