Dont forget Colby was lightning Jorge up on the feet on couple occasions and he also rocked Usman and almost finishing him in the end of round 4 in their 2nd fight. Colby's striking, especially his liver kicks are so underrated

He has to get Leon backed up enough to nullify the extent of his striking

Ppl underestimate Jiri every time he fights and it’s amazing to see him pull of victories no matter how bad he’s down in a fight. The dude will handle Alex like he did with Dominick Reyes. Reyes was punching bag after his fight with Jones and Jiri got slapped around by 40+ year old Glover. He is getting brutally KO'd. Alex was playing it safe last time with Jan because he didn't wanna lose his debut in LHW or get Ko'd again but this time he will make a statement. Just watch. Jiri has been nearly KO’d in his last 3, against a grappler and 2 average strikers. If anyone has terrible striking defense, it’s Jiri.

I want Alex to win and will pull for him but just seeing him get flatlined by Izzy in their last fight and the match with Izzy before getting hurt bad. He’s chin and age concern me. Jiri is sloppy but that’s throws people off sometimes with how chaotic it is. Either way should be a good one.

He's not the only one that said that. Both of them have been predicted to win by different people.
I think Belal deserves a title shot, but first I want to see him fight Shavkat, then do his due diligence by fighting JDM, then maybe Usman. If that goes well then maybe he can rematch Burns because Burns was hurt early. If he doesn’t prove himself by this point, he should fight the loser of Edwards/Covington. If it goes to decision then there should be a rematch. Then, and only then, I think Belal deserves a title shot.
Only after he beats Beterbiev in boxing and Sadulaev in a freestyle wrestling match can he be allowed on the contender series

Exactly what you said about Leon vs Colby is why I’m thinking Colby wins. Everyone has been saying that Leon handled Usman so he will shut down Colby. Colby and Usman have completely different styles that just so happened to shut the other down when they fought each other.
i just don’t see it lol. leon has been more active. he’s younger and the much bigger fighter with 5 round cardio. his striking blows colby’s out of the water, it’s simply not even close on the feet. colby is a 35 year old man who’s taken a year off in a weight class where older guys simply don’t have as much success as younger ones. i see leon by 3rd body shot tko.
Just as i predicted Strickland being a bad matchup for Izzy, same here for Leon... Colby will win this fight. Leon has great takedown defense at 69%, but Colby don't stop (unlike Usman), we all seen Leon get burnt out at the end of the Diaz fight (& Nate wasnt even attempting takedowns), just imagine how quickly Colby will tire Leon out?! This is a very bad match up for Leon. Trump will be front row aswel, all the more reason for Colby to leave it all in the cage.

Jiri is getting Ko'd. Glover had him rocked multiple times and instead of finishing him he decided to go for takedown every time. If Glover didn't have negative fight IQ that night Jiri would not even be a champion.

As you have seen in Jan fight, Jan attempted to lure him in same way and Alex restrained himself and didn't fall for it. He won't make same mistake once. Now Jiri will make same stupid mistake and pay for it, just watch lol.
If Jiri comes back at the same level he was before the injury, it's a dangerous fight for Alex.
Alex gets hit pretty easily and I don't think his reflexes are great imo, he seems to be pretty vulnerable against aggressive strikers who like to rush in occasionally -- this is how he got stung by both Adesanya and Jan on multiple occasions; against Adesanya, specifically, in their first fight, there were a few moments where Adesanya would lunge in and Pereira would eat clean shots to the head while displaying zero defense. Against Jan, he got hit by the same sequence multiple times before finally adapting. I really think his reflexes aren't great - if these two examples aren't good enough for you, I urge you to watch a few of his kickboxing fights that he lost (some of them by knockout), he has the habit of getting hit by strikes he seemingly doesn't even see coming.
Against Jiri, who strikes from unpredictable angles and likes to rush in randomly, Pereira is at risk of getting knocked out at any point during the fight; and if you doubt Jiri's ability to do that, just rewatch his fight against Oezdemir, he put him out cold with a right hand after stunning him badly with a head kick that came out of nowhere; and Oezdemir usually has GREAT defense.
This is actually a 50/50 fight, despite what some will tell you.

I think pereira is fighting too frequently. Dont get me wrong, i fucking love watching him fight but 4 fights in one year including a nasty ko loss to adesanya might be too much. And on the other hand we have a Jiri who had a huge shoulder injury and is coming off of a layoff. I think its gonna be a phenomenal fight , Jiri is such an unorthodox striker while pereira is just a stone cold killer and most importantly has glover in his corner.

Jiri hasn’t fought in over a year and he sustained “the worst shoulder injury in UFC history”. We’ve seen horrible shoulder injuries completely destroy fighter’s careers in the UFC so it’s very possible Jiri just won’t be the same.
The last time he tore his entire knee ACL and was off for a year, he came back and went on a 11 fight finish streak that hes still riding. So theres that.

Great that it’s finally official..I’m going with Jiri by KO/Sub and Colby by Decision…I know Alex could KO Jiri but I just think Jiri striking is too diverse and he’ll catch Alex when he least expects it…Leon is really good but he’s never faced anyone with a pace or wrestling like Colby and I think Leon won’t handle it well…both tough matchups but I got Jiri and Colby right now…

Could you recommend any Jiri fights to catch up on before the Pereria fight? I'm a big Pereria fan and have been shocked to hear that his striking is less diverse. Casual trying to get into the ufc lol

Alex can do wheel kicks, flying knees and good high kicks but he doesn’t do it in all of his fights…jmo I could be wrong…
