It is our land and we shall never be ruled by our tribal brothers the Lozis, the kaonde people defeated the Lozis in Kesampa at kamusongolwa hill and ocupied the land in kasempa.
This is our history lets respect it and live today as one zambia one Nation

If all tribes start thinking like, there will be confusion in Africa. There Bembas in Congo DR. Ngonis and Tumbukas in Malawi and Mozambique, Namwangas in Tanzania, Tongas in Zimbabwe.
By the way, if you are in more than 3 countries, why are you fighting Zambia only. Fight for economical rights and oppression

There are millions of Barotse who migrated to South Africa
I'm also a descendent of the Barotse people through Motsoene

because Baroste land isn't prospering while Zambia prospers and peoples rights are being violated. Imagine you owned a house and i move in, don't take care of it, abuse your kids and then claim ownership while you hold the title deeds, that's injustice. Same thing Europeans did and now were doing it to ourselves. But we are all up for unity if these injustices didn't happen.

We are colonised mentally, even the so-called Mukwae is trying to sound British when she speaks

    • @user-vw6bk4pb4l
      @user-vw6bk4pb4l Před rokem

The Lozi traditional attire is far older than the colonial era. In fact, we have documented evidence from accounts, vintage photos and drawings made by foreigner travellers and traders since the 1800s. It evolved into its modern version, in attempt to make it look more formal, whilst maintaining the foundations of the original. Lozi womens Musisi dress was desined by combininng a European dress with the traditional peacock shaped skirt. The men did not copy a scottish kilt at all, they simply added modern formal clothing(shirt, leather shoes etc) to their traditonal skirt. They originally wore a hat with a peacock feather, now a red beret.
Make no mistake, Lozis are proud of their culture and never abandoned it. In fact, modernisation ensured that the culture survived. We don't see many Africans walking shirtless or still casually wearing animal skins or cotton apron on the streets of any modern city today, yet we can wear our modernised Lozi attire everywhere.
Lozis were never colonised or conquered by the British. They begged the British to come in and help develop their kingdom and defend them from the Portuguese and Ndebele raiders. Actually they signed off the rest of Zambia, territory that did not belong to them, to the British, whilst maintaining autonomy of their kingdom and having a separate government from Zambia(Northern Rhodesia), until independence in 1964.
The evil white coloniser, is not accurate description of the history of the Lozi people. Lozi kings got paid every year by the Biritsh, and their children educated abroad. Perhaps they were simply loyal puppets of the British, but the British gave them with what they needed, so can you blame them? Lozis had mostly good relations with the British. King Lewanika was even invited to the coronation of two British Monarchs, and also invited for a long vacation in the UK of many months, where he travelled around the country. The British even built a monument in the UK commemorating his visit. At independence, most educated people in Zambia were Lozis.
I'm Lozi, and i'm anti-British and Anti-Western, but i know the historical context of our culture and why till this day, many Lozis are so pro British.

Defending the indefensible is such tough business, huh. This long missive trying to explain away the reality of a superimposed culture, yet speaking nothing at the end? The truth is that lozis have been a colonial link in Zambia, and a pitiful agent of imperialism. The unfortunate thing is that when the enterprise became more burdensome than profitable to them, the British dumped my mbuyas and annulled all treaties formally forged with them. Poor mbuyas!
But what is worse is the ignorance expressed by the mukwae. Tough luck all the same, anyway...

Africa is working on one Africa one People.....one of the critical items is to remove borders but now Princess, you are trying to create more borders. I respect the Litunga and All its faculties. What we need to do is sit on a round table and here what Barotseland wants other than dividing Zambia, I guess there still a way to reconcile and hear our King of the Lozi Tribe.

You are suggesting to have round so amicable solutions can be found rather than dividing the country. However what can bring people together is to ensure that, we first face facts and dialogue be rooted in truth not deception. It is following the factual route that the sound and amicable solutions with be found. But if leaders want to ignore facts that are documented and choose into brushing out the truth, what can you discuss on the round table?

The African continent should be uniting, not splintering.
Stop living in past glory. Let's make a bigger empire called Zambia flourish.
The past will never come back, and the 33 tribes the Lozi conquered will never agree to be ruled under a Lozi monarch again in this 21st century.
