- In this video we get this Ratty Bel Air 1957 Chevy Wagon running and driving after it has been sitting for well over 45+ years. In this video I have a bunch of clips from the entire engine rebuild of the motor, from this crusty old 1968 Chevy 327 to this brand new fully machined 327. The transformation is crazy and the motor is ready to move this 1957 Chevy Wagon down the road again. After the rebuild we put the engine in the car and assembled the front end shortly after. Then after all the wait and videos we fire up the wagon and it goes on a short first drive!

Thank you for the content! Watched all the wagon videos ❤. Hope to see more soon!
Appreciate that a lot! More to come
It's truly nice to see the younger generations into older cars! My hat's off to you young man. Keep them coming 😊
I appreciate the comment! Just doing what I love.
The old guy when you said you'd gotten it oiled up 😂
sometimes the after market timing gears are made sightly off and can display a false timing 2 or 4 degrees off
Awesome video and great music
Thank you!!!
Glad to see you young guys doin some wrenchin on the old stuff, just remember if you see any old stuff for sale mostly something you wouldn’t build snatch it up for parts because I’m sure you have figured out it’s not like it use to be when cars and parts where plentiful and dirt cheap….!!!
I love that advice I just don’t think others in my life would love that advice😂
@@low_rancho_customs other words i'm guess your parents dont want junkers in the yard?......😂
Looking and sounding good guys! I got a Monte SS build ya'll can tackle after you get done with the wagon!......lol
Appreciate it!
sounds badass man
Yes it does!
Just a heads up that camshaft needs way more assembly lube than that on it I built a lot of small blocks and I cover the cam in assembly lube I've never had one go flat
Oh I had that thing covered don’t worry, just not show, was before pistons went in.
Dude he's got his shit together! He knows his stuff!!!
Looks great, but that fuel pump is going to die within a year. They're supposed to be down low close to the tank. They're built to _push_ fuel as opposed to trying to _pull_ it. Good luck!
Yeah it’s just temporary ( probably permanent) since using the mechanical one wasn’t an option.
Great vid!! Do you work for a Fastenal? Great company!
Haha yes I do
@@low_rancho_customs I used to as well! 😀
Is it just me or are other people tired of every CZcams channel that has to play this head banging music in the background.
Don’t know if you make videos much or anything but it’s much harder to find good copy free music than you would think.
