- On this episode we finish up the surprise 57 chevy build and start our 1000 mile Hot Rod Power Tour journey. We cruise with all of our buddies and even get 20 mpg at one point.
Huge thanks to @speedwaymotors for sending the parts to get this hot rod back on the road. If you're interested in the parts we installed on the car I will list it below.
The intake setup is from Holley and its their sheet metal tunnel ram for an LS engine with a matching set of tunnel ram 450 cfm carburetors.

That black '57 Fairlane is 🔥🔥🔥
Seeing the kid's smile in the beginning made my day. That is what it's all about.
strassafrass1 And just like that another gearhead is born.
Agreed 👍🏻
Good old American build cars still going!!!!!
My hubby had 4 57s before we got married, 2dr. Hardtop, 4 dr. Hardtop yes they exsist, a 4 dr. Wagon, and we went on our. Honeymoon with a convertible, he put a 396 with 375hp. In it with a 4 speed muncie and hurst shifter and a3.O8 rear end, 2 weeks, we had a blast !,
junk yard was a trip, couldnt afford any of those hulks these days. but at least some one saving them
That kid is now a horsepower junkie. Hell yeah =)
14 MPG is pretty amazing for that machine, I bet with a more careful driver you could do really well. And that Sedan Delivery, man that needs restoration.
Mr. B. Here ! Has anyone noticed that Power Tour has United east cost and wast cost cars ! Very cool !
Really like the 57 Ford first time seeing one
That little man was having a blast😊
What a truly incredible way to spend 5 days hanging out with family and friends.
Couldn't agree more!
I love seeing good people win.
Looks like a great road trip .
Don't let Finnegan see that 6 door crew cab. 😂😂
Now that 6 door square body was what Chevy should have put that 3+3 badge on I never understood why they put that badge on the crew cab but that 6 door was a true 3+3
That Toyota next to the sedan delivery Chevy II…
You guys are living the dream.
that is Family of true friends
Great work and fun showcase 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Its great seeing this from another point of view. I enjoyed DDSpeedShops video almost as much😅
Buddy with the old chevy pickup is my favorite though, recycling tires my favorite way.
And the munchkins, memories for a lifetime!
Thanks 👍
Thank you from Kentucky ✌️😎
Wow, a three day thrash to make a running car and no issues. Amazing. Congrats to all involved!
Great job on the 3 day build. Keeping it simple really paid off.
Thanks 👍
Glad car went well and it's great you have friends to help you guys with the car. Enjoyed checking out the cars on the video. Good one 👍
Well done, I’m glad everything worked out and thank the good people that helped out.
Thanks for sharing your adventure
Thanks for watching!
it's funny how car clubs did "power tours" every weekend since the 1950's and even custom vans did 'em in the 1970's, and now folks sit at home and watch others use their cars :)
DD speed shop! DD speed shop! DD speed shop!
Awesome!
I miss those junk yards.
I've been waiting for this video. Thanks. Please tell Alex, I love her lol
The most awesome accessory on that red Chevy pickup is the Gun Rack!
Great video , good friends , Power Tour

Very cool. I had a 57 Fairlane in the 60's and left it in the woods in SC while in the USAF. Did 2019 Power tour in my focus ST

Dave you and Vice Grip Garage need to do a colab ! go pick up a car and drive it 1000 miles back to the shop ! would be epic !
Like Roadkill huh? I would watch it.
Mr. B. Here ! My old man ( dad ) in his Olds 371 he would put the good stuff and 18 mpg was great in those days ! LOL ! Wow that was a great yard ! One more week end inter-net issues ! ! Repairs not due for a week !
Dude! No way, I’m currently the owner of a 70 Chrysler imperial that sat in temples auto parts for years! It’s now my daily driver all the way over in the UK!
That was a great yard. Looking forward to going back.
@@12VoltDave I need to get myself back over to the states and explore more yards
Looks like a lot of fun. Little boy at the beginning on the track that's priceless. But I would like to see your 3-day build on this 57, if you did any video footage.
Ddspeedshop covered a lot of it
Wow that black car looks just like Christine.
This was the most fun I’ve had in years, I can’t wait till 24’!

Where can we see more of and learn more about the 57' Ford?
My buddy Chase has a channel and it covers the build and a few others. Simons Powerhouse is the name.
@@12VoltDave, Thank you, Dave!
When i get my ol 69 roadrunner going id love to do a hotrod power tour bucket list for sure
I love your channel.
Thanks
Dave please kep doing what you are doing that is buying up as much trifive stuff and seeing that it gets back on the road. That pudding head Dave from D&D Speed shop bought a ton of tri fives, and a couple mopars, and maybe only two or three made it back to the street a couple are in his back year some were cut up as parts, or sold as parts including a '55 sedan delivery he chopped up and junked that was a easy save, Sorry about that rant
Good Morning.
Morning
Need more of nicks Mopar.
3.19 for the good stuff in southern cal it's 5.50 and up for thr good stuff
Chrysler had or had the Resorces to provide 500 426 wedge engines for 1966 after they discontinued them?
Lucky must have a tire sponsor
Bring them back. (All patents.
Hello Dave/Mr.12volt(da'king).. my analogy. Sir' . I like the tri-5$ and the ford's. Preferably! I like 56's Chevy and Ford. Kinda like the side of the album that was least preferred. And the overplayed/replayed over and over. I. Miss the Roadkill/Everything done by yourself and Finnegan/Friberger. Sorry for mis-spelling. Please!(MORE/MAW!MAW!MAW
Looks like a great time. I might have to look into next year's tour. Would a 1973 charger fit in or is it to new for the tour? Love your channel and videos. Take care and be safe.
It would absolutely fit in!
I'm 50'yrs. Old. I think? I've seen a Mopar 'ChargerDaytona /w a V'shaped rear on deck lid/w a Corvette gas cap in the center of it! Was it a figment of imagination?(Freakin Bee'u'Tifull example of a vehicle

Where can i find more info on the setup they used? I want to run a tunnel ram on my ls. But i want to know what engine management system they used, because I've heard too much negative about the MSD setup for carbureted LS and they seem to have gotten a really good setup here. I'd love to duplicate it
Great work! What size tires are you running on the rescue 57?
Front or back? Back is a 255/75 15
LuckyCosta Cameo!
Dan needs a sponsor of pants.
All his ones are worn stained and covered in oil lol
