This parallel, 10-syllable rhyme scheme is ridiculous.
It's expert writing absolutely. The 10 syllable mirror structure, rhyming or not, goes back at least to Shakespeare (perhaps further back) and to make it "work" and "hit" is incredibly difficult, whether it's writing on a page or a line in a song. Brilliant.

I thoroughly enjoyed logics verses. He was setting the table for em. Basically talking about the rap game rn, and he's correct. Logic wasn't saying he's the goat, was saying that anyone calling themselves the goat can't cause Em is. Again, setting up Em. Logics verses hit. But obviously em did what he does. 🤷♂️ He wasn't on par with em, but nobody is.
Also, Jay Z is from New York so it sets up the Yankees and New York theme.
Plenty of people have done well on tracks with Em. This the worst I ever heard.

It’s definitely not a delusion for Logic to say it, it might’ve been a stretch but its normal for emcees to raise themselves with the guys they put on the pedestals but also its obvious that the verse was dope and respected enough by Eminem himself to get on the track and then do what he did to it too.
