It's a hell of a coincidence that this movie had a stuffed animal for the child be as much as a narrative device as the new Mad Max movie that only came out a few days ago. Uncanny. Great work.
The fact that this is 10x better than most big time budget productions speaks volumes. Not only that, but it's clearly paying tribute to the 2015 video game and is just pure perfection!

This is much more than an elaborate fan film. This is proof of concept that a "Wasteland" series with Max Rockatansky leading the narrative could absolutely work. Very well done. We don't need another hero...we just need Max..

I wish we had a film industry that respected the actual fanbase and audience and source material (took the effort to write with genuine creativity original projects for entertainment not other ambitions). Independent productions, fan creations are something you look forward to more than lame ass big studio with lame ass big cinema releases nowadays. The indie scene is just full of dope talent right now, it’s exciting!

Very impressed. For a fan made movie, this was 100% engaging. Acting was great, effects were great, and the story was sound. It would be nice to see the actor who portrayed Max come back to do another. He was excellent. The car was a fantastic replica and convincing (The blower not so much but who cares!). Overall, I have to say BRAVO to the cast and team who put this together!

Having been on a number of passion projects I know what everyone went through to make this, and the drive and commitment to make it happen. Congratulations to EVERYONE for what you've made here. This shows what talent and desire can do outside of the "mainstream" film media....with so much less money. Hopefully someone will recognize this and bring resources for the next project. This is an awesome achievement. Production value is so high, and paid for with sweat, no sleep, sacrifice, putting families on hold, and determination. You nailed it. What a talented bunch of people.
Wow. Just wow. It feels like the original Mad Max with the practical effects and a grounded story. Love it.
Original mad max had low budget. Not super hard to make a mad max. This one was pretty good
2nd time Ive watched this and wish it was a series. Fricken amazing. Little girl killed it and Max, well he was Max. Great acting, all the traits of Gibson.
I love some of the references to the Mad Max game like at 2:19 the way he's eating the dog food and throwing the can. And at 4:28 the way you can ram and destroy enemy vehicles. Or at 5:29 the way you drink water in the game same pose and everything. And finally at 28:15 the way you put the gas can into the back of your car in the game with the same sound effects too.
Happy you noticed these little nods. There is a lot more for Mad Max 1, Road Warrior, Thunderdome, the Graphic Novel and Fury Road of course.

I'm talking about the way Max eats the can of dog food in this film is the same way he does in the game getting on one knee eats it and tosses the can.
Hope and Glory are straight from the game so this really a mini adaptation of the game, sort of.

It's more of an adaptation of the graphic novel but has references and call backs to the game and the movies.
The part where the daughter dies is one of the most heartbreaking scenes ive ever seen. She died with terror and hopelessness in her eyes. Just crushing. GREAT movie.
This might be the fist Fanfilm I have seen, that feels like part of the Universe. I think George Miller couldn't had done it much better. This looks very professional.

Speaking as a huge fan of the game, this was great to see the Hope and Glory side mission done as a film (with a few minor changes). Fantastic work. Translating the game to screen makes sense, as the Hope and Glory storyline came directly from Miller's own documents and scripts that Warner had ownership of at the time. Some of it was from the unproduced "Wasteland" film. This was brilliantly done on all fronts. And just speaking as a Max fan, in general, I can't thank you enough, as it's another film to add to my marathons. It's that well done.

Honestly, you should do your own Wasteland-Movie. The practical effects, the costumes and the worldbuilding look better and more interesting than in most current (professional) apocalyptic films. I really would like to see more of this, but on a big screen.
This raises the bar for fan film releases. Miller needs to watch it. I hope he does and supports it ❤

Wow! I was blown away by how character and world-accurate this was at all times!!! 😊 Felt like a true Max adventure, just a slightly shorter, more character-driven one. I gasped at the twist, even though I could feel the same dread Max eventually did going back. End line was also so fun and bittersweet! “Just a full tank of gas” 10/10 I want more episodes

Didn't really know what to expect from this, but I really liked it. It captures Mad Max post-apocalyptic world perfectly. The actor does a great job portraying Max. I felt the script also was well written and pays homage to the original films. I particularly liked the bones of a ruined city, something new that we really haven't seen in the Mad Max world. I also really liked too that even though Max is a haunted loner, he still questions himself, revealing his humanity. Hes not just a killer that has lost all hope, though he might appear that way on the surface. Deep down, hope is still trying to pierce through the clouds of insanity that is the world and experience he lives on a daily basis. I will be recommending this to my friends. Well done.

Ich bin durch UrlagEntertainments auf diesen Film aufmerksam geworden und kann nur sagen WOW, was ihr da auf die Beine gestellt habt ist absolut beeindruckend. 😮
Mit so einem kleinen Budget einen Film auf so hohem Niveau zu produzieren, davor kann man nur den Hut ziehen.
Der Hauptdarsteller ist eine top Besetzung und kommt wirklich sehr sehr authentisch rüber.
Soundtrack super👍🏻! Da merkt man wie wichtig die musikalische Untermalung ist.
Die Actionszenen sind, auch durch die gute Kameraführung, spannungsgeladen und glaubwürdig.
Die postapokalyptische Atmosphäre kommt gut rüber.
Natürlich kann man einige kleine Dinge verbessern, aber man darf ja nie aus den Augen verlieren wie klein die verfügbaren Mitteln waren.
Ich war erst skeptisch bei einer Low Budget Produktion, aber wurde mehr als positiv überrascht. Man wird wirklich gut unterhalten.
Last euch eure Leistung in diesem Filmprojekt von niemandem klein reden. Ein Machwerk filmischer Kunst auf das die Darsteller und das gesamte Team absolut stolz sein können.
Ich hoffe man hört noch viel mehr von euch. 👍🏻

When I was young I saw Mad Max part one and two with a brilliant Mel Gibson + his incredible Falcon. I don't know why, but somehow Rockatansky disappeared out of my mind. Now, after four decades and two years, Max is back as if he had never been away. Unique! Currently I'm watching Hope & Glory the 4th time and I think it won't be the last one.

Wow guys, really good job and such a great tribute!! I loved the nods to the Mad Max universe all over the place. If this is "only" a fan film I can't even imagine what you could do with a real budget and a whole film crew. Maybe a new epic TV series 😍?

Fantastic Mad Max short film. 9.5/10
Wow....wo soll man hier anfangen. Die Frauen und Männer um das Projekt sind ja nun keine unbekannten im filmmaking, um so mehr war ich gespannt was zum Thema Apokalypse hier kommt.
Und ja, verstecken müßt ihr euch nicht mit diesen Machwerk. Tolle Handlung, starke Bilder und Szenen, Ton und Musik passend und sehr gut, klasse Kameraarbeit. Selbst die Leihenschauspieler liefern hier "on point" ab. Alles in allem merkt man hier sind Leute mit Freude, Ideen und langem Atem am Werk. Großes Kino ❤
