The whole movie felt like a really terrible dream I used to have that woke me up in the middle of the night but only remember a portion of what I dreamed of but I knew it was terrifying.

At first I didn't like the movie, I found it unsettling and frustrating but once I found the message of it I never thought I'd say that I end up liking it in the end.🤣💕

I tried to watch this movie with motivation to enjoy it.. it is crap. I quit watching it and my wife, of which encouraged me to watch it, fell asleep at the same time I gave up.
I literally had more suspense watching commercials for tampons

I haven’t even seen this movie, but I watched the honest trailer anyhow, and I must say: it is one of the best honest trailers I’ve seen in a long time!
John Manning the movie is weird AF and not many people liked it, but if you like bizarre, slow paced and disturbing movies, you'll probably like it. If you read what was the creator's intention with the movie it's gonna be much clearer
Its a biblical-reference movie, just like the chronicles of narnia

Typically cinegoers would watch this in the evening after eating anyway.
The trailer was purposefully vague so that the people watching it wouldn't know what it was. Probably not a good idea from the sounds of it. I decided to give it a go the other day. This trailer had me howling. Enjoy.

The fact that a big studio released this movie like a blockbuster warms my heart, here in Chile the theater was packed with people, all of them expecting a generic horror movie and boy we got something different.
This made me have faith in Hollywood again, there can be auteur films in the mainstream landscape.

I just re-watched this movie recently, and “ camera, following Jennifer Lawrence’s big head around” is 100% accurate and hilarious lol
This movie actually was so stressful to watch, I couldn't tell if it was good or bad, I just felt weird after watching it. I liked the action scenes in it though I thought they were cool, even though there was no context.

The movie is supposed to be basically the growth of the human race from a biblical perspective. The woman is Mother Nature, showing this by tending the home, and the man is God. The guests who enter the house represent the growing human race. The baby they have represents Jesus and is literally eaten, just like how the church eats the bread and drinks the wine as Jesus’ body and blood.... wow.... I went deep with that.

It's a reference to "The Yellow Wallpaper", an american short story the director liked and where there are many similarities with mother! too. It's the most obvious "not bible" thing, but the rest pretty much stick to it.

This was an exceptional honest trailer. Absolutely hilarious.
The Pikachu Brothers ok well I found it funny. The jokes about Javier Bardems face and the scarves of aranofsky as well as the public speaking and sink jokes are very funny. I’ve seen the movie too so maybe they’re more relatable to me because of that. Just my opinion
+The Pikachu Brothers that bit was meh to me but I laughed out loud at 'follow Jennifer Lawrence's giant face...' & the Javier B's close-up bits. I had already been thinking about her distracting gigantic face since the start & Javier well...

If it was so simple, you'd think that they'd be able to tell the story and have it make sense. Obviously the important part of the English lessons in high school were lost on you. The story you're telling has to be good itself before it can be held up as a good metaphor for something else. Otherwise you're just telling a worse version of the original story that makes less sense

This was a great Honest Trailer! I didn't like the movie but I'm glad I saw it just so I could get all the references in this Honest Trailer. Also you guys should do an Honest Trailer for High School Musical.
The references were taken out of context, so seeing the movie isn't necessary.
