@@unclebensrice4702as a City fan I'd swap players out from our 11 but with our midfield and what they did to every team we played last year which all comes from our midfield it's nigh impossible to not stick them all in. Personally I wouldn't have the 4 at the front just to cram more names in bc there were more midfielders and defenders that deserve to be in the team more so than Messi for one and Mbappe didn't really do anything aside from the world cup and both played in the 6th best league.

Gundogan was better for city than Bernardo was last season. De Bruyne played like once after may. Messi hasn’t played since august and the World Cup shouldn’t be included as it was in 2022. Courtois is still considered the best keeper in the world by loads because of the ucl final. But Madrid and Liverpool have played twice since then. Courtois has been injured for most of the year and not done much in 2023.

He had good stats and won a trophy in the MLS, however; he can't be over Kane, Mbappe, or Vini Jr. I would be ludicrous to do that😅

@@jezoutram1760 Vini was 2nd in goals for Real Madrid, 1st in assists, came 2nd in La Liga behind Barca, and was in the semi-final of the Champions League, when they ended up losing to the treble winning Man City team.
I'm not a Real Madrid guy, but I definitely think that Vini Jr needs to be appreciated. Also, if Vini Jr isn't in the squad, who is the other winger? I'm not mad if you say Salah.

Best 11, would concede a shit ton of goals, 3 CBs 3 attacking CM's and 4 ST's. LB is the only issue really, Davies, Alaba, Shaw, none really had stand out seasons. For me its Courtois, Walker, Stones, Dias, Davies, Rodri, Bellingham, De Bruyne, Silva, Vinicius, Haaland. Bench would be Allison, Van Dijk, Trippier, Rice, Saka, Mbappe, Kane. Messi has been the best player in the world, hes won a world cup, hes had his flowers, if any club had £200m, no restrictions on if a player would or could come and they have to sign a player to play RW, every single one would have Silva, Mbappe or Saka ahead of Messi. We need to stop calling him the best player in the world now, as sentimental acknowledgment, his records and trophies will stand to show the player he WAS!!!

If the only argument is " he won a treble", it's just the entire Man City XI which is wrong. Walker shouldn't be there, KDB shouldn't be there because of injuries, Messi shouldn't be there. Kim Min Jae should be in, Rodri should be in and probably Di Marco
Why does Kim Min jae and Di marco be there and not walker? Fifa pro xi considers the calander year and Walker has been better this calander year than Kim min jae and Di marco. Courtious shouldn't be there it should be Ederson. Belligam shouldn't be there and Rodri should.
Bellingham should be there. Rodri should be in over KDB. KDB was injured for half the year. Walker was only important against Vinicius. He was mostly on the bench besides that until the end of the season aka almost half the year. Kim Min Jae was the best defender in Europe while at Napoli, so good that Bayern went for him and he has continued to be amazing for them. In terms of the WHOLE year and in terms of personal performance, not trophies, Kim Min Jae has been better than Walker. Di Marco is debatable. Rodri could even be in for Messi since KDB deserves it more than Messi. I would take Messi, KDB and Walker out and put in Kim Min Jae, Di Marco and Rodri.@@samkkx

The biggest omnission here is actually Kim Min Jae. He has been the best centreback in the world for last 12 months.
I would put Rodri, Bellingham and Griezmann as a midfield. I feel like Griezmann is so underrated by casuals.
Especially since we/they are including the world cup in this, in which he was the 2nd best player (after Messi).
I know Mbappe took all the spotlights, but Griezmann was actually the better player for France over the tournament.
Kane also defenitely deserves to be in over Vinicius, by putting Mbappé on the left.

Walker in the other hand was crucial in winning the treble with city. VVD was no were near his best last season. Liverpool finished 5th and conceded more goals then Chelsea did last season. VVD is a good player but his reputation is carried by a few good years.
