  • There are many deciding factors, some related to the search and others related to the planes.

Great video. It important to find your reasons for choosing a particular aircraft, and you put it eloquently.

This comment is about your crash videos. I listened to you explain everything which includes all the signs that you experienced before and after takeoff. There is absolutely to excuse as to why you didn’t make a 180 and put that aircraft back on the ground. The primary reason for that crash was poor pilot decision making. PERIOD! Man up and accept your mistakes and stop the embarrassing finger pointing. Thank God you guys survived the crash. Accept the fact that you are the primary reason the airplane ended up where is did. Good luck to you.

To the OP. Thanks for sharing. Indeed, one can't be overly cautious buying an experimental aircraft. Honestly, IMHO you should build your own CH750 and rent or buy a certified aircraft at least until the build is done to stay current / proficient. It looks like you have the potential space at home to accomplish it. Then you'd know what quality you have rather than wondering ad infinitum. Caveat Emptor.

Maybe but, I purchased and had the work done at Viking aircraft engines that most said could not be bettered. I did not expect them to do such bad work.

Can you say where the plane is now or may be the insurance agent that would know? Sounds Like some parts may be salvageable.

You should not have flown this plane without training for at least 10 hours. I've flown a lot of aircraft and the Zenith is not the same for a low-time pilot.

Yes, lessons learned are many..... it was mechanical failure though and training hours would have simply meant a crash on the first training flight with same result. All of the insurance investigation reports are posted.

Boy are you spreading misinformation. There are excellent stol kitfoxes, as well as those that cruise 120. My kitfox grosses at 1550

Not sure what you think I said since I too believe kitfox performance for stol is much better than zenith, 120 mph on a kitfox is very rare. The two I fly max at 95 with 100 hp.
