I have been married for over 30 years and moments after meeting my wife, we both knew we were to be married. We may have had a few troubles during the years, but I believe I married the right person. I can honestly testify to this. I had a relationship with my ex husband off and on for 17 years before we married. This marriage was also before I rededicated my life to Christ. I didn’t even tell him when I was baptized, because I knew he would try & talk me out of it. The Lord opened my eyes, WIDE open, when I was baptized & when I told him, he blew up at me. It wasn’t long after that the marriage fell apart, mainly because of his infidelity. I now live a happy life in Christ, without fear. I’m SO thankful that I brought Christ back into my life. I can also tell you this....it was trauma that drove me away from The Lord, and trauma that brought me back to him. ❤️🙏

I don't think that. But many preachers teach that a woman's job is to "wait". I hear it all the time. For some women God literally plopped their husband in front of them without them having to put in any effort. So they then think that'll be the case for everybody too. I can name several woman who teach this mindset.
I known this guy at my church for 2 years. Never saw him in any kind of way, but then around 3 months ago, I decided to grow closer to Christ and then God presented this guy to me as possibly my partner. The only thing was.. I was scared to tell him and be rejected. And I had to get my own feelings together because this guy was not my ideal type at all.. Well about 2 weeks ago, he randomly texted me saying how he noticed I might had feelings for him and him being a leader in a church, he has to be careful, and how he just wanted to be friends with me. I was crushed, and also felt ashamed. But I feel God's presence still inside of me (though I know to move on at this point) but why would God give me those feelings for him if it wasn't meant to be?

Love this recently was studying genesis on this topic all my life had been chasing what I thought I needed but now listening to his voice I see that's what Satan does gets us to chase what is not meant for us. And so the thought I had was God took eve from adam's rib and created her from him for him as a help mate but why a rib and then it came to me to be by his side to guard his heart but even deeper she shared a part of his soul two can't be made one unless they were made to fit one another.. What's beautiful is once you see that u see that only by waiting on God to put her in your life can u receive what he has for you. I agree you have to pursue but at the same time you have to wait on God's timing. One other thing that came to my mind was even though man was made to lead he is to lead by example. His authority is not to dominate nor is his leadership to be that way just as Paul told the believers at Corinth follow me as I follow Christ. so what does this mean a godly man must lead by example and in order to lead by example he must follow Jesus you can't lead until you've learned to follow Jesus.

Felix-The-Ghost yes! We have been together for about 2 months now! He is a church man and plays in the ministry. I never feel or question how he feels about me. He has brought me around his church family friends and coworkers. We speak about the future and this feels different than just dating. It's challenging but it's worth the effort. He doesn't want any sex from me. It's difficult but we make sure we communicate and keep God in our relationship. I even had dreams that he was my partner to be. I really thought God was speaking to me. Then I let him know I was interested not to pursue him but just to be honest about my feelings for him. All of us have free will. And sometimes we use it to make the wrong choices. Also people change during their lives - sometimes in a good way an somerimes in a bad way. There is no guarantee your partner will stay the same for the next 40 years. But am totally convinced that there is more than just one perfect match for us. It is just easyer to say "oh, there is just THE one" to provide one of using its God given brain and make choices(led by the Holy Spirit) as well as taking advantage for those. I see it very often that Christians like to hand over the responsibilities for their choices in life towards God.

Psalm 37:4 says if we DELIGHT ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart. Basically, that means that as we spend time with God..His desires become our desires.

I don't think that. But many preachers teach that a woman's job is to "wait". I hear it all the time. For some women God literally plopped their husband in front of them without them having to put in any effort. So they then think that'll be the case for everybody too. I can name several woman who teach this mindset.
I known this guy at my church for 2 years. Never saw him in any kind of way, but then around 3 months ago, I decided to grow closer to Christ and then God presented this guy to me as possibly my partner. The only thing was.. I was scared to tell him and be rejected. And I had to get my own feelings together because this guy was not my ideal type at all.. Well about 2 weeks ago, he randomly texted me saying how he noticed I might had feelings for him and him being a leader in a church, he has to be careful, and how he just wanted to be friends with me. I was crushed, and also felt ashamed. But I feel God's presence still inside of me (though I know to move on at this point) but why would God give me those feelings for him if it wasn't meant to be?
Don’t blame guys, it could be the females in general who make it so difficult for the guys to even think about pursuit. With all their makeup and slutiness and inflated sense of self worth. 80% of females want the top 10% of guys. Maybe yours is in the 90% group but you won’t find him because you are looking in the 10% group, which you have to compete with the other 80%.

Love this recently was studying genesis on this topic all my life had been chasing what I thought I needed but now listening to his voice I see that's what Satan does gets us to chase what is not meant for us. And so the thought I had was God took eve from adam's rib and created her from him for him as a help mate but why a rib and then it came to me to be by his side to guard his heart but even deeper she shared a part of his soul two can't be made one unless they were made to fit one another.. What's beautiful is once you see that u see that only by waiting on God to put her in your life can u receive what he has for you. I agree you have to pursue but at the same time you have to wait on God's timing. One other thing that came to my mind was even though man was made to lead he is to lead by example. His authority is not to dominate nor is his leadership to be that way just as Paul told the believers at Corinth follow me as I follow Christ. so what does this mean a godly man must lead by example and in order to lead by example he must follow Jesus you can't lead until you've learned to follow Jesus.

Im 56 and never been married. Im still waiting on Gods promise to send me the right man. I made the mistake of choosing my own mate and stayed in a miserable long term relationship, always thinking "why does this guy make this so hard"? But i loved him. While i was taking care of my dying Mother he was flirtinging w some stranger. He was never there for me in the hard times. I always had to deal w problems by my self... only God stayed be my side.

Felix-The-Ghost yes! We have been together for about 2 months now! He is a church man and plays in the ministry. I never feel or question how he feels about me. He has brought me around his church family friends and coworkers. We speak about the future and this feels different than just dating.
It's challenging but it's worth the effort. He doesn't want any sex from me. It's difficult but we make sure we communicate and keep God in our relationship.
We both care about eachother as individuals as well and want the best for eachother whether we marry or not.

I agree. A few months ago, I liked a guy I went to church with. I prayed about my interests to God, hoping to get clarity on if he was my future spouse. I even had dreams that he was my partner to be. I really thought God was speaking to me. Then I let him know I was interested not to pursue him but just to be honest about my feelings for him. He politely told me he wasn't interested. I admit I was very hurt but understood. This month and last month, he has sent me a text. I'm not sure why because I have moved on from liking him. I am no one's second choice, and I know God has a man that will pursue me with equal interest in Jesus' name!!!!

not married myself, but with SO many people (Christians) who are divorced...did those people just not marry their "ribmate"? did they go against God's will? What if my "ribmate" married someone else? Is there just one person meant for me??

No sir. People make Choices. If the Lord has someone for you He will direct you to the right ribmate.
All of us have free will. And sometimes we use it to make the wrong choices. Also people change during their lives - sometimes in a good way an somerimes in a bad way. There is no guarantee your partner will stay the same for the next 40 years. But am totally convinced that there is more than just one perfect match for us. It is just easyer to say "oh, there is just THE one" to provide one of using its God given brain and make choices(led by the Holy Spirit) as well as taking advantage for those. I see it very often that Christians like to hand over the responsibilities for their choices in life towards God.
