Robby is well in his 70s with a better physique than just most people on the planet. Gold never rusts I guess!
Love your videos dude!
One of the best bodies ever
Long live the black prince!
Man has a phenomenal physique 💪🏾🔥
He is 80 in 2 years and still looking better than us
One of the most consistent bodybuilders, he's 77 years old right now. Real legend ⭐⭐⭐
Conteúdo maravilhoso, vídeos mostrando a essência do bodybuilder. Obrigado!
👍👍👍👍
Real fkn legend! Yep 👍🏾.
One of the best of All time ❤
The black Prince is my favourite Black BB
I knew Robbie was big, but I didn't realize how big he was. He's always in shape!
💯 Great example of longevity in the game of bodybuilding, always in great shape
''When you saw a bodybuilder in real life in the 70s, they were going crazy because back then there was no internet. This was the pages of the magazines coming to life. You have to remember in 1978 the pages of the magazines were black and white. Here is Robby, in the flesh, on a bench, in color.. Right in front of them, posing. And you're looking at him saying wow this is REAL. Look at this.''
He was the real deal.
things were more special back in the day
Magazines weren't in black & white pictures in 1978 ,what a crock ,45 years ago wasn't that long ago
This video is blurrey, & the sound is muffeling.. in 1982-1984 i was a member at the Bath Beach Gym, and every nite, there were hundreds of members there and in the girls gym across Avenue U, and 90% of them were princes/princesses/stunning & shāpley female & male stripper quality, but none of them appear in this video !!!
Yeah, except in 1978, magazines were not in black and white.
I've met Robby when I was training. He rolled up in a limo and got out. I've met a lot of the big names and use to hang out with Ken Kuntz A.K.A The Ripper. I have never idolized any of those guys but it always is a pleasure to talk with them. I started training in 74’. My first show was 1981 and I did about 6 shows a year. I have three titles and many high placings in NPC shows. I was clean and competing against guys who were not.
I’m glad Robby is still around. Most of my friends have died from heart failure. It's why I stayed clean. Unfortunately cancer is getting me. Life is funny that way….
Nice man. Golden years. Check out Doctor Brooke Goldner (good bye lupus) She had severe lupus chemo treatment before discovering the “hyper nutrient” diet in conjuring medical treatments m. that completely reversed her disease and hundreds of other clients that had severe illnesses.
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Good memories...
Best of luck..try the sea air it worked for me!
@@JeffoJonJ thanks bro, but it's going to take more than sea air for Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Robby is still in good shape. He's just really small now for obvious reasons. I think he might be training guys at Golds.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽have faith brother. With GOD JEHOVAH NOTHING is impossible!! Praying for you.
One of the most inspirational body builders who is evergreen a testament to the longevity of the sport. Long Live The Black Prince!
Even his current physique is amazing
That's bananas! ( that means awesome )
The first black bodybuilder I ever saw was Serge Nubret and he remains my favorite but Robby Robinson was, is and continues to be an icon of the sport!
Should have won an Olympia.
How ? Did you watch the other opponents dude no chance at all 😂
Totally agree. Robbie definitely should have won one. His physique was MUCH MORE complete than Arnold, Draper and Zane. Weider was a virulent r@cist who demeaned black competitors during that era. He made sure that black competitors were tested to second tier status, while white competitors like Arnold made the front covers of muscle and fitness on a regular basis.
Politics
Robbie Robinson competed in the wrong era. A black competitor in the 70s while Arnold, Weiders Whyte hope to be the flagship banner of his organization, was NEVER going to win. Weider is on record saying as much. He wanted a charismatic European to be the face of Weider incorp. And to bring in revenue for his organization. This in spite of the fact that Robinson was very popular with fans irrespective of R@ce. Weider was a staunch r@cist and businessman. Fast forward going into the mid 90s he told the legendary Kevin Levrone the same thing . Weider told Levrone to his face that He felt Levrone would make a fine Mr. Olympia and that he could keep rotating the Sandow between Kevin, Shawn and Flex Wheeler but…..he needed Dorian Yates to appeal to the European market. In short he was telling Kevin and every other black competitor that as long as Yates was around they could essentially forget about winning the big one. R@ce and business was Weiders M.O. Lee Haney was an 8 time Mr. Olympia straight through his reign but was featured on the cover of muscle and fitness rarely. Weider claimed his covers didn’t sell but That was a lie because Haney was on The covers of other respected Magazines such as Iron Man and they sold very well. And this was the 80s and 90s. That Weider was still pumping that BS narrative. Robbie Robinson in the SEVENTIES definitely was not going to win an Olympia in spite of the fact that he had a superior all around better physique than Arnold and yes Zane and Franco. So before anyone goes spouting this narrative that Robinson is just bitter, he’s lying etc…..you need to do proper research before opening your mouths and tossing out denial BS.
I saw him in the late 70s and I got his autograph . What a Champion and gentleman he is .
This was beautiful. Had tears in my eyes. Reminiscing. Great years. I read every magazine back then. ❤
One of the best of All time ❤
The black Prince is my favourite Black BB
Did Robby have the best bicep 'peak' in bodybuilding? (10:00)
with Albert Beckles, Kai Greene, Marko Savolainen (more "rounded")
Wesley vissers has him beat. Robbie was first rate though and looked great..
You deserve a medal of honor for the amazing work you are doing with all these archives (videos). It's a whole legacy you're preserving and spreading 👍🏿
Robbie Robinsons physique was simply STUPENDOUS. By far the BEST of his era period!!
what a gem this video
✊💎
Robby is one of the best to ever do it, what a legend! How awesome to be able to say you are a major part of the legacy of bodybuilding. He deserves all the accolades!
One of the best of All time ❤
The black Prince is my favourite Black BB
He has a fantastic physic. This is how modern bodybuiding should focus on. None of the veins popping and heavy supplements and steroids. Just handwork, dedication, and a proper diet will take you far.
Sorry to break it to you there pal but robby used extensive AAS idk what your talking about . you clearly have no idea what your talking about
@@a-animal1206you’re slow. Read to comprehend
@@kojoefantewhat didn’t he comprehend? The original comment stated “just hardwork, dedication, and a proper diet...” and also “none of the veins...and steroids”. Suggesting that Robbie Robinson didn’t use steroids
The reply comment stated the fact that Robbie certainly did use anabolic drugs to achieve the physique he had
A true great of the sport. That pic at 3:35 always blew me away. Imagine looking like that.
Tallahassee Legend Robbie Mentored A lot Of Guys From My City. A Great One And A Real One!

The one and only black prince Robby Robinson the legend. Not the biggest among all but definitely a better shape among all. Respect! 👍🦾🦾🦾Wish you well and healthy
im really greatful for robby he has inspired me! thank you good brother robby!
In the mid eighties I was training at Golds, Robby and Mike Quinn were their everyday working out together, I only said a few words to Mike..he was so intense I didn’t want to throw off his rhythm, but Robby couldn’t have been more inviting and helpful, Robinson and Albert Beckles were two of the nicest professional bodybuilders I have ever met, glad to see Robby is still on the scene 👏🏽🙏🏾
Whoever made and edited this documentary did an amazing job
Robby judged and guest posed there at bath beach gym the Mr Bay ridge in79 . The prejudging was held there at the gym and the night show at a high school auditorium at the prejudging had to stand right in front of Robbie who was massive and when I hit my most muscular, he gave me a quick thumbs up after the show which I placed 3rd he came over to me to congratulate me awesome dude.
Robbie Robinson--UNFORGETTABLE!
This double biceps, its better than most today.and almost 50 years has passed.
Awesome post brother!
He was one of my heroes coming up. The man was a sculpture come to life. Muscularity, conditioning, proportions, asthetics, good looks. He had it all. A complete physique and a true professional.
one of the best ever.....
absolutely fantabulous
One of my favorite bodybuilders. I read both his books and even have one of them signed by the Black Prince himself. 💪😎👌
I remember growing up in our neighborhood in Bond community and seeing him work out at the old gym on FAMU campus 😊👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾👊🏾
One of the living legend of the sport of bodybuilding.
God bless you my brother!
Beautiful!
Dude was a living canvas, phenomenal!
🤴🏿🤴🏿🤴🏿🤴🏿🤴🏿 The Black Prince that back pose when he’s in the gym looking in the mirror 🪞 amazing work of art
That was phenomenal
i met Robby several times over the years. he was always a gentlemen
He was always my favorite bodybuilder. He had the type of physique that other bodybuilders envied. It’s a trip that he’ll be 78 in a couple months and he looks great.
Robbie looks awesome today. Back in his day he was above elite level in conditioning and that Fro was incredible.
That still makes me absolutely believe Robby when he said that during the taping for Arnold’s “Pumping Iron” the producers told him “Don’t pose…” 😂😂😂
A True Living Legend 💥💥💥
I’ve been in love with Robbie Robinson since the ‘70’s!! He is just so awesome, gorgeous & handsome.
In love huh...?🤔
Masterpiece
Robby robinson, man is built like a tank 💪🏾 💯🔥 would have been good to be in the gym during this era. Too bad i was born in the 90s

One of the absolute legends who still today defines partly what classic body building shape should look like. Anyone knows if theres some documentary about him that I missed?
LEGEND underrated
Awesome!
Persévérance et motivation à travers les âges et les époques..
Wow! that just blew my freakin mind!
Amazing.
He was so perfect and to this day still in shape .
A true genetic freak, beautiful muscles and attitude
Excellent ⭐⭐⭐
I remember of Mike Mentzer writing about his participation on a contest, Mr Universe I think, and he was saying something like "I was in great shape and I was sure I'd won it that year, but then Robbie Robinson undressed and I knew it was over". Next year, Mike would win Mr Universe with that perfect score, so imagine Robbie back then.
When You Achieve You can Conceive..💪💪💪
Mannnnn the work he put in. Not the biggest builder but was the best in my opinion.
2:05: Even the A-Team showed up.
When it comes to longevity and classic lines, this guy has the best genetics that have ever exercised.
he’s amazing
Robbie is one of the best of all time
The Man!
An outstanding bodybuilder. One of a kind. They don’t build them like that anymore.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I never knew him as a child I grew up in flex wheeler an Dorian era but Arnold was always #1 because of his movies
Those arms
More of this - less of those modern day clowns. I've watched you for years and years - thank you for what you do. But...more of this bro. Lee
Create a category of the top bodies of all time, and he's there, looked outstanding, still does
His arm muscles separation is insane in the thumbnail.
