Gary Moore was one of the greatest guitarist of all time. May he rest in peace and my his legacy live forever đ€đ„đ„đ„
I am of the opinion that Gary Moore was the greatest of all time. You should check out his live rendition of "The Messiah Will Come Again" it's sensational.
Indeed!! lol I can't think of anything he did that wasn't outstanding, too many good ones to mention them all :) lol
There's never been a player more effective at using the tone knob during live performances. Just watch that volume/tone management, it's fucking amazing.
Agree 100%!
He was even better playing ROCK.

The most tasteful, precise, passionate, skillful guitar player I've ever seen. His choice of notes, even, and especially in his extremely fast runs, is perfect, exceptional and perfectly musical. In 55 years as a musician I've never heard anyone who can match him.
Gary Moore R.I.P. one of the all time best guitarist to have ever lived. May he rock out in heaven every day. God bless!
I saw this guy and wanted to go home and sell my guitars. He was a hell of a player.
Note the great Pino Palladino on bass! Class!
I knew he looked familiar!!
A Hero on Bass
yes!!!!!!
Once you go down the Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher wormhole you're never the same after . Great video đđŹđ§
It was a tribute to and cover of the Jimi Hendrix song Redhouse. Still Got the Blues live is maybe his best! R.I.P. Gary Moore
My God! Legendary! Epic! GMoore destroyed this. What a talent he was.one of the GOATs.
"That boy's got the devil in his fingers and the blues in his soul!" -- Brian Johnson (AC/DC)
Just miss him being aliveđđđ
Gary was a complete monster player, you should react to his song The Loner đžđ„
One of the GREATEST EVER, HE MAKES IT "CRY".
Man stole the show that night. A genius
I truly thought he was the best performance there that night! Very humble guy!
I love how the music touches your soul! Me too!
Gary Moore Still got the blues.
Brilliant reaction Gary Moore from Belfast.. unbelievable playing thought the guitar was going to go on fire. RIP Gary your music will be played for ever...what a legacy to leave the world.
If you found this amazing and you had âno wordsâ it means you have great taste!!!
Gary Moore was the British version of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
@Andy He was born in Lisburn - in the UK and had a British passport .
@Andy You're right - he was from Stormont. I think it's Vivian Campbell who was from Lisburn.
'Cept he was Irish!
Loved your reaction to this legendary guitarist!! He could play anything and everything!! True G.O.A.T.!! đž And a great voice!!đ€ He was the shit!! đ
Gary was one of that generation of kids who saw a strat in the early 60s music shop window and wanted it so much.He came a long way,it ended too soon.
Oh my God!!! absolutely brilliant.
He is the European equivalent of Stevie Ray Vaughan. They are my two favorite guitar players of all time, and I donât know who number one is I think theyâre both number one! Absolute mastery!
Anyone who thinks this is just a Hendrix cover is truly selling Gary short. This isn't a cover.............it's a compliment!
No one can do a better staink face than Gary!! Great version of this song, and great reaction!
Stank face can't stay away when you see this amazing performance by the late and great Gary Moore. R.I.P
perfection!!!!
Gary Mooreâs other red house live version heâd done with billy cox and Mitch Mitchell is brilliant
A true giant, and genius of the guitar in every respect. Gary, RIP, you are missed.....
There has never been more emotion in a performance than this
Try Still got the Blues for you đ„đ„đ„
every one write to the rock and roll hall of fame he needs to be there who agree???
Glad you got the great Gary Moore here with this sensational rendition, but please react also to his last, epic and unforgettable performance of Parisienne Walkways -the best version below that has people swaying from the very beginning.
Gary Moore was freaking amazing! Tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Thank you!
Greatness! Can you imagine Gary and Stevie Ray Vaughan sharing a stage together???
He did with BB King. "Thrill Is Gone" with BB is one of my favorite Gary Moore videos.
i know this is Garyâs tribute to JimiâŠ. but there is also a nod to SRV i think
Been a fan of the Great Gary Moore since his time with Skid Row. He's a legend đ¶ đž
All the way from belfast northern ireland rip gary
2 must see live performance was long version of âSeperate ways â and âI Love You More Than Youâll Ever Know â which was his version of that Donny Hathaway song you see his amazing talent just absolutely genius with his Les Paul Guitar!!!!!! Terryâ€, love your reactions!!!!!!!
He was also a rock/metal guitarist during the 70's - 80's.. Check out 'All Messed Up' live from Stockholm. I think its the fastest guitar solo I ever heard!
First of all.i love that you appreciate gary Moore as much as I do and secondly you are gorgeous đ. Now you are one of my favorite reaction channels.god bless!

Hi JT I saw this after just watching Gary's cover of Red House on utube. I am a guitar player, love the blues , and Gary really impressed me with his version. So sad that we lost this great talent much too young. I got a kick out of seeing a young woman ( YOU!!) hearing this kick butt player!!! God bless u girl!! Merry Christmas to u and family baby girl
Your best reaction yet..."Stinky Face"...LOL! Keep On Keeping On Young Lady... :)
" still got the blues LIVE"
Gary is my fav guitarist. Period,
Gary Moore is 100% Legend , try ' Parisienne walkways ' đ€đ€đ¶đđ
Gary Moore is priceless and without words. ITZJT ? Listen to Sting..."Windmills of your Mind"..... You'll love the song and the movie "Thomas Crown Affair" , cheers my love. â„ïž
R.I.P. Gary " The Messiah will come again " đ€đ€đ€đ€
Treated that guitar like it owed him money.
One of the greatest and most underrated
Gary's Strat needs a cigarette after that performance.
You hooked into Gary .... bless you.
Yeah,he was giving a tribute to Jimi Hendrix because Hendrix is the one who originally came out with the song
the best ever
overkill, my god.
He's killin like.. Like ALWAYS
Mind blowing is exactly right!
FYI one of Gary's hands was swollen to the size of a football prior to this gig. He basically came fresh out of the hospital and brought it down HARD. Any cat around here wanna try to do the same and play Wembley's ass off?
He made the rest of the performers at The Strat Pack Concert, including Dave Gilmore look like trash. One of the best music performances ever.
A good choice. One of the best covers he have made and better then most of his own productions.
An other is Stormy Monday, that one is awesome as well.
Gary Moore is on the mount Rushmore of greatest guitarist of all time, hard to compare them all but imo he is top 4 if not 3 next to srv and hendrix
I'm in awe guys. Wow. RIP Mr. Moore
gary is the best bar nun
Now girl....Gary Moore was a guitarist in Thin Lizzy...he and Phil wrote stuff beyond his time in the band....but Gary....white boy rock blues....can't beat it...really.
Tribute is for Jimi Hendrix obviously đđđđđđ
One of my fondest remembrances of youth in the 80's was the 1st time I heard Gary Moore... playing 'End of the World' on some timid Jax FL Debbie Boone/PTL style FM radio station by a new rebel DJ who snuck the disc in under the pearl-clutching, vaporing censors radar, as (LMFAO!) 'Christian rock' in a b.s. story about the rapture, on what was his 1st and last day of employment. đ€ Face melt successful. RIP GM
Best Red House Performance
well this is another one to go into the Smithsonian, for future generations to see that genius and talent did exist and how lucky we were to have lived then and witnessed it
Just sick
This is about as good as it gets for white guys playing electric guitar blues. Thereâs certainly nothing better than this
This man is so far into the zone he's not on the same planet as the rest of his band
Oh yes!đŹđ§
The only guy who can play Jimi Hendrix better than SRV
White boy playin dem blues!
GARY!!!
Gary moore is God!!
Gotta do the original by Jimi Hendrix! One of my favorite songs
Straightđ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„
Beast!!!
Have a listen to still got the blues, or the messiah will come. He was the most exciting player ever. Saw him at the Kings Hall Belfast in the early 80s. Awesome
I wonder if you ever heard the original by Jimmie Hendrix? If not, I would suggest that you listen to it , because this video is a tribute to a great guitarist, and now they are both a long time gone but not forgotten. There is a tribute video to Gary Moore that I would like you to do a reaction video of, - "Golden Resurrection- End Of The World (HD) - Tribute To Gary Moore". I'm sure that with all the responses on this video, a tribute to him would be well received, it's also an awesome song. Thank you for doing this video!
I was at that gig..
And it really was as epic as that.
This performance was on the Fender 50th Anniversary in London. No disrespect, but I felt sorry for the David Gilmour's and the Joe Walsh's of the world who unfortunately had to follow this act! đ°
It was men against boys!
I notice both here and with Stevie Ray Vaughan that you like the sound of the technique of bending notes on 2 strings at the same time. Hendrix did it to. They all got that from Albert King, and if you want to see that, and other Albert King influences in Stevie's playing, see the TV show they did together called "In Session" in 1983, where Stevie Ray plays Albert King type riffs back at him.Another guitar piece you might like - "Tender Surrender" by Steve Vai.
You didn't need words. lol. I could see it in you're face.
Oh, I forgot to say that Gary is my favourite guitar player.
Songs I love? Too many to mention. A few:
- Parisienne Walkways (his first hit, and there are lots of long live versions out there)
- Murder in the Skies (the LP version has one of those amazing "sound fx" intros, very Hendrix-esque)
- Empty Rooms (the original 1983 version, not the more commercial 1985 remake)
- Over The Hills and Far Away
- Thunder Rising
- Blood of Emeralds (beautiful Celtic song and a tribute to his friend Phil Lynott)
- The Messiah Will Come Again
- Texas Strut
- Cold Day in Hell
- Since I Met You Baby (with B.B. King)
- Glory Days (with Jack Bruce & Ginger Baker)
- Afraid of Tomorrow
- There's a Hole
But for all his pyrotechnics, he could also be beautifully gentle if he wanted to. "Johnny Boy", "With Love (Remember)", "Like Angels", "Nowhere Fast", "I Had a Dream" and "Trouble Ain't Far Behind" are all good examples.
In fact "Where Did We Go Wrong" might be one of my favourite songs of all time. It makes me f*cking cry every time.
Stank face away, friend. Stank face away. This is how we did it in my day. Ps, listen to Jimi Hendricks p)ay red house from the album Blue Wild Angel live. Stank face fer days! Peace
Saludos from Uruguay!!.
Yes indeed Gary was doing a tribute to the great Jimi Hendrix ..in my opinion Gary would be on a par with any of the greatest blues rock guitarists in fact I can't really think of anyone better ..RIP Gary
Still Got the Blues - Gary Moore. Prepare for your socks to be blown off again!
I found this DVD in a shop, completely unplanned. I had heard about it but didn't really know what to expect. I knew this was Gary's first live appearance after some problem with his left hand.
Lots of great guitar players to celebrate the anniversary of the Stratocaster guitar. Brian May, Hank Marvin, Albert Lee, David Gilmour etc.
But then Gary Moore appears and just SLAYS them. I mean how can I put it? Those are all greats, legendary musicians. But there was something about Gary that just made him stand out - the energy, the passion and not forgetting his immense capabilities. He just had the guitar figured out completely like few other players - you can really only compare him to Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix in that regard. Fitting that he'd picked a Jimi song for this festival (a few years later he did a whole Hendrix tribute on a Strat - not his most played guitar model).
I still mourn for Gary and lament the fact that I never got to see him live. Didn't expect he'd be taken from us at only 58.
But I did get to see Steve Hackett last year, who acquired one of GM's guitars and is perhaps not too far away from his quality and technical prowess - you can't really compare the two because of different musical styles, but I heard some of the "ambulance" type sounds that Gary was so fond of. That said, Gary was definitely a better singer than Steve!
Gary Moore did better covers than the originals. Listen to him play the Clapton part with George Harrison on While My Guitar Gently Weeps live. He blows Clapton's version away, in my opinion.
two greatest guitarists of all time hendrix and moore
There are many great guitarists in the world but for me personally the Absolute best are Jimi Hendrix Gary Moore and Richie Blackmore, to me these three are untouchable.
Three thumps down? Why? This is fantastic!
We Wan Moore is my fav live album ever. As an Astralian this guy change my life. He made me hear the guitar no just listen. Till they day i die he is the best ever and im 51.
He definitely changed several lives. Henrik Freischlader, one of Germany's best blues guitarists, got turned onto the blues and the guitar by hearing "Cold Day in Hell" (he recently did a whole tribute album, "Blues for Gary", and his own playing is dangerously close to Gary's at times).
I think Joe Bonamassa was also quite influenced by him.
# 1 .
5:15 is one of the best
