    So my son Reid has had this 12 volt Power Wheels for about 5 months and he absolutely loves it and rides it every day. I found a 24 volt conversion kit for it and decided to give it a shot. I bought a kit from MLtoys.com and it came as a plug and play unit.
    I got the batteries charged up and installed in the four wheeler and he was having a blast until it stripped out the gears in one of the tires.
    I couldn't believe what a difference the 24 volt conversion made. I would definitely recommend getting one if your kid enjoys speed.

    Make sure you keep it high gear since both motors are 12v receiving 12v a piece.. if you put in low gear on these dual motors or reverse all 24v gets directed at one motor burning it up in a second

      My youngest son was a natural like that with riding toys too before he was 2. I bought him a peewee 50 for his 3rd birthday birthday and he drove that thing like a scalded ape. He never bitched when he wrecked and was always more concerned about his bike. We hopped it up several times, and even added a big bore kit and competition pipe before he was 5. He rode that thing on our property every day.
      Then he started school...he lost interest in riding, and started playing video games. He's 11 years old now, 50 pounds overweight, and crys when he gets a paper cut. I have no idea what happened, it was a gradual decline, so I didn't really see it coming initially. Now I go outside to ride my bike on our property, my 8 year old daughter comes out with me to ride her power wheel style car that I have added a better battery too. My son sits on the couch, usually leaning on his momma looking at a tablet. I was going to try to enhance her car a little to give it more speed, but I think I'll probably just find a good used 4 wheeler instead, since she's really too big for that thing anyway....she just loves it. Its crazy though, I thought he'd be my riding buddy for life, and it turns out his little sister, who was afraid of the noise when she was little, now has bigger balls than him. I don't see that happening to her, when I go out, she's right there.

    • @justinl9677
      @justinl9677 Před 5 lety

      Man im reading the exact same chapter in the book called life! My son is 11 and he went from wanting to help daddy work on cars, to wanting to do nothing but sit on his tablet 24/7. Of course I try not to let him, but momma bear always seems to give it back to him as soon as im not looking...but my 12 year old daughter has developed the interest that he lost...no matter where i am or what im doing, my daughter is right there next to me...I gotta say something i think you already know, but this time with your daughter is so important to her and for her...and im super glad you and her get to share something as fun as riding! sometimes when i would rather just go out by myself to clear my head (my mom passed away not too long ago) I remember that she wont be a little girl who wants to hang out with daddy forever...and away i go, with her right next to me!

Interested in putting another one in the mix making it 24 volt. But i heard it will ruin the motor of the lower voltage powerwheels. Dont wanna ruin a $300+ powerwheels.

    Good while it lasted - some nice drifting - I was going to suggest screwing old bike tires to the wheels for grip but it would have been a disaster given that the gears got stripped out so quick - and probably would flipped the quad if the gearing was not shattered on first turn of the throttle.

It aren't the batteries for sure. Have measured it with multimeter every 4 hours and they're not leaking. It's an original 36 volt electric brush motor. Got 3x 14 volt battery under the seat. Maybe you could give me some advice to get this thing running again.

    super awsome! time to get some kinda rubber on those wheels tryin to think of something that might work maybe theres a spray you can spray on them or something you an glue to the wheels for more traction. might i also suggest getting a brushless motor of some sort and upgrading the plastic gears
